Weekend Nuggets: The Heartland ’94
DOWNLOADS OF THE WEEKEND:
This weekend we feature two smoking shows from Summer ’94 from the Great Plains. Kansas and Iowa, not Phish’s every day stops- so all the more reason to throw down. The Kansas City second set ripped, containing a ’94 “Reba” to be reckoned with. The Iowa show features a tripped out “Asse Festival” which segues into “Sweet Adeline” and then a Digital Delay jam before finishing “Guelah Papyrus.” A “Split” punctuates the first set before a huge “Bowie” and a “YEM” anchor the second.

Jam of the Weekend:
“Crosseyed and Painless” 1.1.00, Cypress
One of the most exciting jams from the all-night set. Trey threads a melodic theme throughout the excursion that peaks with a fury. Have a great weekend!

No glass at Indio either. Hope I find Fat Tire in cans before then…
I wonder if there will be a tramps segment or a vocal jam tonight 😉
@voopa – Fat tire in cans widely available in midwest. Kind of pricey though. Myself, I either drink very top shelf liquor or High Life Lite! Drives my friends who aren’t into liquor nuts.
Given the whole no fire thing, does anybody know any good resources for interesting meals with no heat? I’d rather not subsist on peanut butter sandwiches for 4 days in the desert. I’m fairly adventurous, but want to try anything out before heading to the desert. Keys being, needs to be simple, tasty, and possible to be prepared while fairly inebriated.
they usually have really good food at these festivals. I remember the huge turkey legs from cypress.
It will always be the Hoosier Dome. Just like it will always be Deer Creek, et al.
or bring a george foreman grill…no flame!
mike’s band has been playing ‘meat’ and ‘sugar shack’ on this tour….what are the chances of a ‘fikus’ bust out?
What have the recent Trey orchestra setlists been? I haven’t been keeping up
I think 8-2 II could be the best set of the tour….top 3 atleast
Gotta love nitrous balloons brazenly sold outside Carnegie Hall…
Just saw Trey w. NY Philharmonic. YEM was insane. Trey and the conductor were both having an amazing time.
When I saw TTE at Jones Beach a couple months ago I was disappointed and didn’t really get it, but seeing it tonight the way it was intended lets me look at it in a completely different light. It really is an amazing piece of music, and it was the highlight of the night.
P.S.
Second Set:
TTE
Let Me Lie
YEM
was the miget wookie nitrous scout there….lol
i love classical music
i love phish music
the combination is a dream come true
There were guys in suits sucking balloons outside of Carnegie Hall. Not classy. Trey’s tone was great, I walked up to the stage and he only had two tube screamers and a whammy pedal.

two suns in the sunset is another great song from Final Cut which I think absolutely sounds like classic 70s floyd
yesyes…. it is all mapped out…. Phish just needs to wait and see how panic brothers close out the tour before we get the dates…..
