Phish Circa '93 (Unk)

Without a fall tour in 1993, fans were ready and waiting for December’s New Year’s Run.  Salivating since a scintillating summer circuit, everyone filled with joy for the holiday season with. The epic shows on the 30th and 31st have been posted on this site, but these are the two gigs that led up to the climactic end of the year. probably mostly Phish fans. but laid back and real cool. Not that pushy crowd that I pisses me off… the one’s who think they’re entiltled.

  2. EL Duderino Says:

There is a new Carrion Crow FOB source up @ bt.etree.org fellas’!
    9/25/99 Woodlands Pavilion, Houston, TX.
These are the MK4V caps –
    My personal favorite.

  3. Robear Says:

Trey played Eureka, Ca once, just before he got arrested……

Wouldn’t mind getting bassed in the face someday on the left coast.

  4. Mitch Says:

    El Dude,
    Now you have mail.

  5. EL Duderino Says:

Did you send me a second e-mail Mitch? If so i did not receive it.

  6. JP Says:

good points on the worcester shows and the thanksgiving runs – always special and so missed.

agree that fall dates and 8 should be disentagled, just let the people know 🙂

saw zony mash last night, with a 4 piece horn section added, incl skerik. highly recommended, great music.

hope everyone has a great weekend – thank you Mr. Miner for all you do to make this site possible – need to get me a shirt!

i’m starting to get really, really intrigued by the 8 ablum choice – what’s it going to be?? my only thoughts are that it has to be a pretty high level classic band (like all their previous choices), so i’m thinking:

    Zeppelin
    Zappa
    Hendrix
    Stones
    Band
    Dylan
    Dead
    Allman Bros
    Niel Young
    Santana
    Bowie
    Yes
    Floyd
    Boston

Anyway, just fun to speculate at this point i guess. Tool was another guess that i loved thinking about – that would be quite the combo with the acoustuc set at the crack of noon on 11.1

    Robear, yougottasomeofdatmail, mon.

  8. fat bastard Says:

all signs point to Physical Graffetti. Custard PIE

  9. Mitch Says:

I sent you one from a different address to your yahoo account.

  10. BrandonKayda Says:

    My top 3 Halloween picks:

    Ween – Chocolate and Cheese
    Bob Dylan – Highway 61
The Grateful Dead – Blues For Allah/Terrapin Station

  11. JP Says:

agree fb, zep seems called for at this point imo

  12. JP Says:

would be very very very sorry to miss a Hwy 61 – thank G for livephish tho

  13. JP Says:

am i remembering right that Trey said that he changed the ablum from what he first described as “having loved growing up” to a new choice that the rest of the band wanted? thought i read that here at some point – anyway, what does this little piece of key info make you think the transition was from a to b in terms of ablum choice??

  14. BrandonKayda Says:

If they did Chocolate and Cheese I think I would explode. 45minute Roses Are Free

  15. BrandonKayda Says:

    Where did you hear that?

  16. JP Says:

i thought i remember reading a post about it, assumed it was from one of those interviews that were on here over the past week of Trey – did not watch any.

  17. fat bastard Says:

    no way they play Ween

  18. EL Duderino Says:

    How about Led Zepplin III

  19. BrandonKayda Says:

    yeah FB it is unlikely

  20. fat bastard Says:

    Zep III would rule.

  21. Mr.Miner Says:

    45minute Roses Are Free
^ been there, done that 😉

  22. albert walker Says:

I’m lovin that 96 Hershey show, new favorite

like Miner said nasty Tweezer, def one of the best of 96
great Runaway to open 2nd set, just like I miss, long with a few differenet psych jams
YEM that Trey just shreds, Fishman killing it

this is a great Phish show, from this era
highly recomended, miner had it up a few days ago, great stuff

  23. JP Says:

    zep 3 = good choice

could they also do this as the “middle” of the acoustic set?

  24. JP Says:

2 ablum covers would be a pretty sweet twist to 8

speaking of twist, huge version in indio impending

  25. whole tour! Says:

    45 minute roses
    also been there done that
lived to tell the tale 🙂
