some of those are definitely jokes

    Pork Tornado is the giveaway

  2. Mr. Completely Says:

@sumodie – I’d say spin Guantanamo Strut and Last Victor Jam – I think those are pretty legit

for the most part the rest are basically exercises in rhythmic improv, sometimes interesting…but those 2 are pretty solid I think

  3. Chuck D Says:

It appears that there are 98 albums, and 31 days left till 8, meaning 32 till halloween. There should be 3 discs a day to remove, leaving 2 possible options for the day of the show…

Along with the absurd amount of speculating involved this whole topic, my logic could be drastically flawed…

  4. Mr.Miner Says:

Not sure how this album list does anything for anyone…

  5. Mr. Completely Says:

well Miner, it ran an otherwise meandering thread right up to 200 posts midafternoon LOL

they’re just stirring the pot, trying to build hype

the other thing is maybe it means they’re playing one of the more obscure ones – Marquee Moon or something – and want to give peeps a chance to get familiar with it, without just coming out and saying it

  6. sumodie Says:

I hope you don’t mind -I’ll post the entire list next. I copied it from the green board, and corrected a couple mistakes.

-The album with the sun and moon is King Crimson’s Larks’ Tongues In Aspic

  8. EL Duderino Says:

My favorite King Crimson album by the way. Fripp is amazing on that one

  9. albert walker Says:

    I’m saying sticky fingers

it is up there, they have not played anything from that album yet
exile they’ve played a bunch of times

funny how so many of the discussed albums are up on the site

  10. EL Duderino Says:

Electric Warrior would be another favorite of mine!!!

  11. albert walker Says:

If they play U2 I’m leaving

  12. wvbrdr Says:

    Hall & Oats

  13. Mr. Completely Says:

yeah great Crimson album for sure

Loveless not on there, scratch one top pick – also Miner’s Graceland pick taboot

  14. voopa Says:

I guess I just missed some the first time. My #1 pick has been Axis: Bold as Love, but since it’s not there, I’ll go w/Sticky Fingers

  15. Mr. Completely Says:

Phrenology is a good choice for a rap album since almost anyone can rap better than Black Thought

great band, great lyrics but wack MC

  16. Mr. Completely Says:

is anything eliminated but the MMW?

  17. sumodie Says:

    Tom Petty got whacked too.

  18. Chuck D Says:

    86. Tom Petty – Damn The Torpedoes

    eliminated apparently

  19. albert walker Says:

not bad, not too many I don’t want to hear

    Hall and Oates
    Elton John
    Van Halen
    White Stripes
    Arcad Fire

not too many that would make me want to run

  20. Chuck D Says:

this guy is back at it… he was doing very well for a while, then stopped right when i started checking daily 😉

  21. KWL Says:

if CA could disappear and re-appear from the map, I bet one of these albums could be killed and… *gasp* … rise from the dead

  22. KWL Says:

interesting though. But unlike the map, I’m certainly not going to be following this one very closely to see what goes next…

I could see an album being killed and then brought back to life especially if as Mr C suggests, the point is just to let us get familiar with a few albums we may not be.

  23. JP Says:

I think Petty bit the dust too

  24. JP Says:

    whoops, refresh…

  25. JP Says:

interesting on the Zeppelin options – 1 or 4 – could see them ripping 1 a new one.
