  3. Hunter Says:

Man, I wish I got that second set in Detroit!

  4. jdub Says:

Mitch, your bud is still jaded by Coventry, hence the lame parts… but I have no idea

  5. jay Says:

I really wish sirius would stream these shows. that was so freaking cool for f8.

Trey is rising and arriving. It seems that Page, Mike, and Fish have been playing at extremely high levels since they’ve been back, this is all relative of course and Trey set an extremely high bar and has had a hard time living up to it. He has arrived and it has been beautiful to witness. As hard as it was to watch Jerry fade it has been exhillarating to see Trey arrive and beat back the monkey that is drug induced lead guitar rock stardom. I think back to what I’ve heard of Phish in the eighties and feel that this band and Trey are the some of the most soulful musicians on the planet… they have come so far and it is all from the heart… they out did the beatles by 15 years and can play their music live, thank you so much phish for being alive

Can’t wait to listen to tonight. Following the twitter feed it looked odd (tweezer, light, gbott) but from the sound of it, it was epic. Really looking forward to giving it a listen.

“”I really wish sirius would stream these shows. that was so freaking cool for f8.”

    Quoted for mother fucking truth.

I would pay an addition $15 for a streaming package for the tour.

“NY is about to become a launching pad for 6 days of 3.09 Phish at its culmination … and then the new year”

    leaving out charlottesville…ouch

  11. jdub Says:

One last note, Charlottesville just may be that sleeping monkey

  12. Prince Nabby Says:

OK, just got back to the hotel from the Cincy show, and it was ecstatically good. I’m sort of boggling at how much they have improved since even Indio, and that was a whole three weeks ago! Seriously, the show was slamming from start-to-finish. The vibe was more akin to Knoxville, SPAC, and Hartford, than, say, Red Rocks or the Gorge but that’s no put-down in my book. It was a raging, Type I dance-fest, and I couldn’t have been happier. It helped that I started out with, literally, the worst seat in the house sitting all on my own and, because the show wasn’t sold out, got stubbed down to three rows from the stage by one of the venue officials. Trey was en fuego tonight, ladies and gentlemen, and things are only get better from here on in! I cannot wait for tomorrow’s show!

  13. jdub Says:

Well since we heard it from the mouth, amen … I’m addicted.

  14. Kevin Says:

    @Nabby,
That’s awesome. Can’t say I’ve ever been stubbed down by any form of venue security before. That’s amazing. Well done!

  15. Mitch Says:

at that point, why not take the dude in the very worst seat in the house to the front if there is room. awesome nabby.

show is already downloading from livephish.com way to go technology!

  16. Mitch Says:

what color is the ticket for MSG3 from lottery?

  17. Lycanthropist Says:

hey guys i know most of you are crashed. Great 2nd set. Tweezer > light > bott > possum was stellar. energy was huge. yem pocket jamming obnly really nice crazy vocal jam. great night

  18. Lycanthropist Says:

    @prince

    what hotel ya at

  19. gratefulcub Says:

That was tremendous. I honestly didn’t know they could still do that. I only asked for a taste of the old school funk. Moma and Jiboo would have sufficed. They had a decsion to make at set break, a) new direction, b) build on Moma Jiboo. Good decision fellas

  20. Kevin Says:

That’s so great to hear, gratefulcub. Like a lot of fans, I’ve been wondering if they would ever return to the point where they could do something new and surprise me, or if they’d keep playing straightforward shows (like Detroit). After the comments tonight, I’m pumped for the new Phish. Charlottesville can’t come soon enough.

  21. gratefulcub Says:

Tweezer alone explored three different directions. So much fun tonight.

  22. gratefulcub Says:

Someone want to bring some food to my room? Anyone?

  23. tela'smuff Says:

ok folks. doubting thomas over here pre Cincy. Cincy was the real heat. Trey has found a new “thing”. they were taking jams to that other level. just a new sound, or focal point they visited all night. best show out of 8 seen in 2009. amazing people. can’t wait to see how this holds up over time.

  24. ThePigSong Says:

can’t wait to give a listen tomorrow. Even the green board is blowing up with positivity!

    g’night

  25. beepaphone Says:
