The time has come; tonight Phish will return to MSG for the first time since their first comeback on December 31, 2002. After an extensive year of playing, Phish’s calendar will come to an unquestionable climax in a building they have historically owned. With thirteen shows in The Garden under their belt, the band returns to the arena at the tail end of their fall tour in a completely different place than ever before in their career. Phish have traditionally pushed themselves in the Garden, forming some of their career defining nights in the building. From their first appearance in ’94 and their epic New Year’s show in ’95, to the legendary New Year’s Runs of ’97 and ’98, MSG boasts arguably the most regal history of any Phish venue. And tonight the legacy continues…

someone said earlier today that this 3 night run will pretty much determine the new trajectory of phish….. well, I think the phish answered that one pretty definitively tonight. In fact, they answered it in Light, which had plenty of opportunities to be cut off, but they kept on going and opened up the hose… what a show.

just got back from msg. LIGHT. tweezer was great too. finger tapping in acdc bag and Divided sky was a blast form the past. trey was ripping tonigt, it was a realy rocker.. plus PEACHES!
i suspect tomorrow to be a chiller, more psychedelic night, and friday to be a dance party.

Why does everyone on the east coast seem so desperate? I feel like I am in a 3rd world country … Until I get into manhattan. Very strange place. Not in Kansas anymore.

@ mr c idk how the recordings will reveal it but that tweezer, albeit short, was pretty killer, or at least it was for me while i was at the show.
oh man i forgot about the suzy! the built and built that part where page rocks the grand piano… i thought we were looking at a 9/13/00 situation! but regardless it was a rocking suzy… never saw it coming. wasnt too pumped when they started it it.
