    crazy bingo ..

    considering we are going to the alien reception party this week I think this is all pretty cool..

  2. joe Says:

    the after midnight reprise is one of my personal favorite memories from any show ever. remember dancing very hard to that one. it was really the only time that I made it way up front the whole two (3?) days. as opposed to doing a tribal circular dance to rock and roll way in the back around a passed out wook. so, the answer to the kids later that night that I gave the rest of my stuff to was that it most definitely was very strong and to proceede with caution.

    joe…that might have been me!

    i was up front. and someone gave me something special. lol
    was it you?

  4. whole tour! Says:

    it was @ like 3 or 4 AM….someone in front of me turned around and was like: “dip your finger in this”

    needless to say…i was wide awake for the rest of the night/day to follow.

  5. Mr. Completely Says:

    ~~~ good news for me today ~~~
    official spousal pre-approval for solo show travel has been achieved
    she picked up on the hints and thought it through…came out of the blue
    now all I need are some shows!
  6. whole tour! Says:
    i hear there are a few shows in miami coming up!
  7. Mr. Completely Says:
    haha yeah not NYE, that’s a couples thing
    even if we don’t go out (there’s usually nothing interesting happening in PDX) I’m not going to bail on her for that night
  8. joe Says:
    wt – the time frame is about the same but mine was on paper and the kids were actively soliciting. figured we’d had enough of a good thing already so I gave them the rest of it. pretty sure their end of story matches yours too
  9. joe Says:
    any Miami special guest rumors? should we start some? I throw out the Miami sound machine minus Gloria Estefan. ( I’m on hour 14 of my work shift and brain is fried from boredom )
  10. BrandonKayda Says:
    I just listened to 7.1.97 – Back of the worm insanity – Really, really good. Slave is peaking as I speak.
    What started all of that “Back of the Worm” banter anyways?
  11. whole tour! Says:
    people have been saying mick jagger might guest on NYE….just a rumor though. Trey did open a show for the rolling stones once…so it’s not impossible to fathom.
  12. whole tour! Says:
    RE: Back of the worm
    Trey is apparently a big Dune fan. In the phish book it said they had dosed in Amsterdam and he started to see the worms from dune swimming in the canals.
  13. BrandonKayda Says:
    @Wholetour –
    Thanks, was curious about that.
    Man this Circus encore is really nice right now. Nothing like a peaceful encore after that Bathtub->Cities->Mindfuck Limb by Limb w/ Worm appearance. I think that’s how it went.
    Anybody notice the consistancy of _________->Cities during 97/98’…seems to happen a whole lot.
  14. BrandonKayda Says:
    Timber Ho was huge as well
  15. BrandonKayda Says:
    It was just Cities->Jam (Worm)
    Limb was in set I
  16. halcyon Says:
    Mr. C…. Start saving for Europe in the Spring ๐Ÿ™‚
  17. whole tour! Says:
    @ brandon… 97 was just consistantly good. Night after night. It was pretty amazing to witness the band transform like that.
  18. BrandonKayda Says:
    Yeah, I recently downloaded a whole lot of 97/99, so I definitely have a lot of great music to dig into
  19. floyd Says:
    thinking about leaving from va early tomorrow morning. be in fla by 10 pm. 2 am if I decide to stop and watch the skins game.
    tix are looking pretty cheap and available soon. fun in the sun for 4 days? the only thing stopping me is common sense, but when have I ever let that get in the way.
    wonder if this 4 night run will top msg/cville
  20. BrandonKayda Says:
    I’m sure it will floyd.
    Miami will blow your fragile little mind.
    Seriously though, have a great time man; it is sure to be a blow-out.
    Auld Lang Syne->Backwards/Light
    Mr. C – great news ๐Ÿ™‚
    sounds like we’ll get to see you at more shows in ’10
  22. Mr. Completely Says:
    LLFA @ Europe
    no, what I’m cleared for is a “once tour is announced, scan the internets for cheap plane tickets to a show in a city where I know people and can crash for free (or very cheap) and won’t need to rent a car” deal aka the “One Of These Years She’ll Realize We’re Not Poor Anymore But It’s Apparently Not This Year” Plan – which as mildly frustrating as it may be, is a vast improvement over 2009’s “You Only Go When The Whole Family Can Go” plan.
    Pretty sure I can make the OOTYSRWNPABIANTY plan work though! psyched!
  23. albert walker Says:
    great news C
    now all we need is a another 3 night run at UIC pavillion
    think some Chicaago shows are about due
  24. Mr. Completely Says:
    yeah butter, I’m stoked, I hope the above post didn’t come across pissy, her money sense is pretty much the only reason we weren’t on the street several years ago when things were a lot slimmer for us…she works as hard as I do at least, so to take on solo parenting for a long weekend so I can fly somewhere solo and get my freak on – to see a band she’s seen more and been more committed to over the years than I have, honestly – is a pretty huge hookup and I don’t take it for granted…
    her approach to money is just real different from mine so I joke about it sometimes…I’m sure she’s right though
  25. butter Says:
    yea, it looks like with these slightly lower ticket demands the smaller venues will be fully in play!!!
