I had no idea it was THAT cheap…damn, looks like I need to get to some shows next year

  2. butter Says:

^ it could change at any time, but yes you need to get to some shows
    next year

  3. yematt Says:

i hope no fake tix will be going around, that really pisses me off when i see someone get denied at the door

  4. albert walker Says:

    yeah BK

with a little work and a good rap
free tix have been pretty easy to come by besides RR, Fox, and a few others

got to love the cheap tix

  5. albert walker Says:

the mail orders are pretty tough to recreate
    never get printed tix
    should be ok

I’d only go mailorder down there
there will be tons of them

If you had asked me in 1991 to write a list of rock albums that Phish could never, ever, ever do justice to, due to being too far outside their style and skill set, I might have put both Remain in Light and Exile on Main Street in the top 5 or so…so the fact that they have crushed them both, and successfully absorbed the salient musical styles taboot, still seems profoundly strange to me even today.

Quite a statement to make, really, in the realm of artistic growth and intellectual curiosity. Impressive to say the least.

  7. yematt Says:

yeah i’m hoping to pick up some PTBM. my 30-31st are ticketmaster – not so cool, but its whatever gets me inside

  8. yematt Says:

i’m on ‘seen and not seen’ right now. still am in awe of this set. definitely going to spin this in the car ride for my crew.

  9. BrandonKayda Says:

    Wait for “The Overload”

Apparently they had huge TV’s set up on the stage and a bunch of people screaming at them, while they fucked with drills or something.

    Nuts

  10. Mr. Completely Says:

Brandon, can’t be sure about the ticket demand thing but it really looks good

I think they made some waves outside existing fan circles with that fall tour

however fall and spring tours (if there is one) are not where most newbies come online in any era, due to school/work schedules. Summer is when that happens.

So if they don’t play a spring tour, then whatever buzz they created with that Fall tour will probably die off before summer, in which case I’d expect another fairly relaxed ticket scene (with exceptions as noted)

Closely spaced successive tours are what create the big influxes…it kind of makes a wave that passes through social circles…if there’s a group of 30 kids that kind of know each other and one goes to a show and comes back glowing that might get one more to go…but if five or six go in the course of a couple tours and ALL of them come back with melted faces…that’s when you get the social tipping point and all of a sudden it becomes the Thing To Do.

  11. BrandonKayda Says:

I see what you’re saying Completely.

I’d love to hit a show or two next summer, especially if tickets seem to come as easily as you guys are saying.

    Chalk opener 12/28?

  12. albert walker Says:

    Party Time!

  13. yematt Says:

hahah that would’ve been crazy to have seen that.

  14. Mr. Completely Says:

or if the prettiest girl in the group gets into it.

I’ve seen it go that way too. One beautiful lady, her three friends, and the seventeen dudes who follow her like puppies….

  15. Mr. Completely Says:

Party Time seems like the go-to right now

  16. albert walker Says:

4 night New Years run in Miami

think that calls for a little Party Time no doubt

  17. albert walker Says:

really starting to find the groove on that one

  18. albert walker Says:

I want to get my first 20 years later
still have not heard that one

  19. BrandonKayda Says:

    Chalkdust
    AC/DC Bag
    Party Time

Top 3 openers for Miami 12/28

If they do Chalkdust though, Moma will come next (or in the #3 slot)

    How about a Wedge opener?

  20. Mr. Completely Says:

still want that Party Time > Undermind combo (or vice versa), seems like a no brainer

  21. BrandonKayda Says:

Twenty Years Later really works after long, dark jams.

See SPAC 20min Backwards->Twenty Years Later

    Also Philly Disease->Twenty Years Later

  22. albert walker Says:

probably not on the 28th but been waiting for that buried alive opener

I love my friend, brother would be great

  23. albert walker Says:

2nd set opener Torn and Frayed finally, maybe open her up a little bit

  24. BrandonKayda Says:

Party Time->Undermind would be ridiculous, especially if it was a fluid segue.

I am listening to 11/24 Philly I right now. Bathtub second song, gotta love it; especially when it’s followed by CITIES AND CAMEL WALK

  25. albert walker Says:

I did that Philly set this morning

very well played, Gin is real tight
contained set but very well played

Camle a little rough but given how long it has been a nice effort

    real fun set
