Sipping an orange latte, watching my favorite Christmas movie (Christmas Vacation, duh! 🙂 ) with my mom and grandma, waiting for my dad and aunt to get up. I rushed over here because I thought I was holding things up

  2. Mitch Says:

    chef,
keep the runt. a runt pitbull would be a better size imo. id want one that i could handle on a leash. i see some small girls in the city walking pitbulls that i know there’s no way in hell they could keep back if that dog wanted at something bad enough. scares me a bit.

  3. Mitch Says:

“things sure are cute when they are that small though
get a little crazy when they get bigger though”

    exactly what i meant.

  4. albert walker Says:

    yeah Robear

I usually go with teh white trash tag line cuz I’m city folk
but hell hicks works for me

no normal family responsible for raising this cat

  5. ChefBradford Says:

    Whoo hoo, thanks Robear!

AW, Daisy, the mom, is pretty chill, the pups are just getting really mobile. They’re in a pen for a couple days until the roomie gets back, then he’s gonna figure out how to deal with them

  6. albert walker Says:

    yeah Mitch

my bro weighs around 85 and is strong as hell

I’ve seen my girl getting dragged by him down the stret sitting at a stop light in my car

    thinking damn that looks sketchy

  7. ChefBradford Says:

Mitch- I’d like to keep him, but A) I don’t have a couple-three hundred dollars to spend on something so soft and squishy, B) I move kind of frequently in town, and I’m never sure if the place’ll let me keep pets

I love dogs, but I’m more of a cat person

  8. cal Says:

Merry Christmas, everybody! I think WSF takes the Red Rider BB Gun award for the day.

Just chilling at home with my girl, the only way to spend Christmas in my book…family can wait. I hope everyone here has a fantastic day.

  9. ChefBradford Says:

You too, cal. We haven’t exchanged presents yet, so I’m still in the dark. Hoping for the Joy box and the Puterbaugh Phish bio either today or on the birthday next week

Mom, despite my dad’s protestations, usually manages to Phishen up my holidays

  10. Robear Says:

    re: the posted interview.

Time to get Miner a sit down with Trey, sheesh. What a lame interviewer. Miner, howz about I start a music magazine, and you work for me? ‘The Humboldt Music Press’ or something?

  11. Mitch Says:

“I’ve seen my girl getting dragged by him down the stret sitting at a stop light in my car”

your girl walks your bro on a leash and he drags her?? haha jk

  12. ChefBradford Says:

Anybody here checked out the Phanatic iPhone app? Pretty nifty, lots of features. Shake for a fantasy setlist, or a real show setlist with facts and trivia, YouTube links, all that jazz. 99cents, maybe $1.99, perfect for a phreak like me

  13. Mitch Says:

“A) I don’t have a couple-three hundred dollars to spend on something so soft and squishy”

what if it were green, stinky, and sticky as well as soft and squishy?

roommates should give dogs away at discounts.

  14. ChefBradford Says:

Robear, didn’t someone hear speak to somebody at Red Light (or whatever the management’s name is) about a Miner/Phish-or-Trey interview?

Anyway, I agree, Mr Miner deserves a shot with the boys

  15. Mitch Says:

“Mom, despite my dad’s protestations, usually manages to Phishen up my holidays”

mom pulls through in the clutch. i esp like you saying phishen up the holidays.

  16. ChefBradford Says:

Mitch, he probably would give me a discount, but I don’t know…Also, if I move out and get a place of my own (I’m always on the lookout), I spend a lot of time away from the house, at work, leaving a big dog of any age home alone that long is a huge leap of faith

The green, stinky, sticky, soft, squishy thing sounds delightful, and I could make any amount of it last for ages

    I’m a lightweight these days

    🙂

  17. Robear Says:

Lots of peeps sent email to red light. I think a couple people got responses that the bands not currently doing interviews. It’s a start. I’m baffled at some of the bad interviews they grant. That’s like the second or third interview where the question is
“I walked for four score and 7 years to get into Coventry, do I get a prize?”

    Trey:
    “yeah, sorry bout that”

  18. bearito Says:

    Happy Holidays everyone!

  19. ChefBradford Says:

Yeah, my Mom knows my heart. That’s what moms are for, right?

I have to reiterate, until a day or two ago, I hadn’t felt the holiday spirit at all (I’m not really a religious person anymore, more of a humanist, but still). But a lot of things here on this site kind of kicked it into gear for me. The kindnesses of not-quite strangers, the obvious joy around, the good-natured jabs, all of it’s kind of shone a light

So, thank you all! Ya’ll rock

  20. Robear Says:

@ Gus. I remember when your dad came up to the Waterwheel Booth to get the signed poster @ CCCC. I was like sweet, doesn’t look like a typical fan. This is great!

Congrats. The proceeds went to benefit the Maine Organic Farm and Gardeners Association

  21. butterflyeffect Says:

Just throwing my Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays/Whatever Floats Your Boat/Let’s Share the Love into the mix.

Have a great time, be safe.

  22. Leo Weaver Says:

@robear…gotta feel good “knowing” who ended up with that signed poster. I’m personally glad to hear the proceeds went to the MORGA…need more help for small and organic farmers these days. The politicos and lobbyists are doing all they can to make small-scale and sustainable farming against the law…really a shame.

Merry Christmas (again) to y’all (nothing wrong with a little y’all-ness @a-dub and robear!)

  23. BrandonKayda Says:

4.5.98 is a great show, drenched in Island funk.

  24. Mr. Completely Says:

Got some non-Peanuts Vince Guaraldi going, the Black Orpheus disk…very nice…

no normal family responsible for raising this cat

I don’t even know what normal is…for me it was a leftist radical holiday, all about solidarity with the downtrodden and sticking it to the Man, via handmade crafts and revolutionary theater I guess, not sure exactly how that was supposed to work…dad was off being an outlaw…so I’m with ya there

  25. gus Says:

@robear – that is so great that you saw my dad! haha he’s not the typical fan per se, that was his first show and he had a great time! and he loved the waterwheel foundation, he though it was a really cool organization and this morning when he gave me the poster he was like ‘now, the only reason I bought this is because it was going toward a local farm’. he’s really really into that kind of stuff, so he was really happy to be helping out. those signed posters are expensive right? aren’t they like $750? and he said there were only four signed, is that true? He loved the show so much I’m gonna try and get him to go to another one. he really liked the intimacy of cccc, he said he probably wouldn’t want to go to one much bigger then that. again, that is so cool that you said him and talked to him.
