  1. Mr.Miner Says:

cheers. I’ll start writing for monday

  2. Mr.Miner Says:

some ridiculous jams throughout the run

  3. BrandonKayda Says:

What’s happening Miner? I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on these 4 Miami shows.

I think that Miami shaped up 2010 to be fantastic, everything was there: The tightness, the bustouts, the JAMS (Tweezer anybody?). Everything was perfect.

VERY excited for Summer, and I cannot wait to hear your review!

  4. Mr.Miner Says:

yup. they hit all angles…and no elastic..a buddy won $700 over 5 bets b/c they skipped it!

  5. BrandonKayda Says:

    Bet he was happy.

    What’d you think about “Rich”?

  6. albert walker Says:

    Tweezer was nasty

  7. jdub Says:

Someone said it earlier but worth paraphrasing, TTE is great with the headphones on contemplating the world but it is a bit jarring misplaced live. I’m happy a lot of peeps on here didn’t get the dreaded set killer… I wouldn’t have minded

  8. BrandonKayda Says:

I love the vocal stuff they had going on during that tweezer (“duh duh”)

The start/stop loop was hot as well

  9. Robear Says:

    Hey Miner!

Great post Whole Tour! Glad we had a chance to meet. Really some deep thoughts you shared.

Holger form Germany: Did you stop by the Waterwheel booth with a lady friend? I think we talked.

  10. jdub Says:

Robear, you get my vote as bber of the year. Your love is infectious and just what the world needs

  11. c0wfunk Says:

jdub mentioned this a litlte earlier, but I’m a huge tte fan but this week it just would not have worked. Anywhere. Sometimes it fits, this time – not so much.

interested to hear more about “12/30 was choppy” .. first take I’ve heard like that…

tweezer vocal thing duh duh in the jam was great. Was wondering what hte hell was going on . Some setlist I saw noted a “manteca” tease in there, and there is a little bit of that in there.

set 2 new years maybe top set of hte week for me. Followed by 12/30 II, 12/29 II, and 12/30 I

funny how much love the tela bustout is getting around phishdom. Nothing like a highlight for me, I can think of probably 30 moments I enjoyed more.

  12. Robear Says:

A friend of mine was front row for the 1st night and I lent him my camera. Watched some of the video he shot. Boy, Trey was animated from the get go. DEEEP knee bends and hip shakes during ‘Possum’.

I second Mr. C’s thoughts re: the band and their family. I’m thanking them everyday, from a distance. I talked to a friend of Fishman and his wife on the 31st. Told him the story of one of you cats being inspired by fall tour and randomly giving a bouquet of flowers to a woman behind you in line at the store. I think Fish will hear the story soon.

  13. c0wfunk Says:

trey was very into it night 1 – doing his little one leg dance in character 0 and first tube.

The vibe was just off that night but I think they did pretty good w/ what we gave.. Still need to go back and listen to makisupa>hood but it belongs in the top jams of the week list..

  14. BrandonKayda Says:

    12/30 II
    12/29 II

Top two sets of the run IMO

  15. Mr.Miner Says:

12/29 ii is damn near perfect. Not to mention i. But I’ll save my thoughts 😉

  16. jdub Says:

Tela is the bustout I wanted most, that song hits me in the gut. The ending just sinks me low and builds me up. Page pulls off the vocals with such elegance.

I got maybe four gifts this christmas, a decided effort to curb the overindulgence. The key gift being Clifford Ball DVD. Witnessing the boys, particularly Trey, having so much fun was awesome. They are having more fun right now. You hear it in every note and every song sung. I believe they are truly having the time of their lives. Combined with the dedication of elevating their music and craft has created a truly unique era that will forever be remembered for its glory and achievement.

It is good to be alive, healthy, and in love

  17. c0wfunk Says:

rob what’s with the maple syrup powered car? That real or phishy prank? The note talks about the waterwheel etc hopin you have inside info

totally missed it on the way out – went out that side exit out the smoking deck, too bad would have been cool to see, pics look neat.

  18. MP Says:

@Miner – You’ve alway’s been a sucker for a huge Tweezer. This was the one you’ve been waiting for all 2009?

  19. jdub Says:

Was there a meet up of any sorts over the week or just clusters of gatherings

  20. c0wfunk Says:

my list of highlights, in order of appearance.

    12/29 set 2 entirely
    soul shakedown
    jesus left chicago
    what’s the use
    the curtain
    back on the train
    boogie on antelope
    12/31 set 2 entirely
    party time! Great choice 🙂

  21. c0wfunk Says:

from where I was the disco ball on the stage was creating these amazing light beams all around the room during dwd – anyone else catch this?

jdub apparently some folks met at hard rock – I looked but couldn’t find them. I guess a bunch of people (including me) met robear at the waterwheel table but I’m not sure how big of a group was there at any one time. I made it over preshow nye.

  22. jdub Says:

cow, It really is astounding the number of quality highlight moments over the 4 nights. You even left off Lifeboy, YEM, and tweezer, divided sky, etc..

  23. jdub Says:

    What about the Reba.

  24. Mr.Miner Says:

    @MP Oh yeah.

  25. c0wfunk Says:

lifeboy, yem, reba, and divided sky were definite highlights. tweezer is covered in “entire set 2 12/29” 😉
