So I am getting ready to run a half marathon tomorrow.
    High energy playlist, check.
Bib pinned to w00k down shirt, check.
Timing chip attached to shoe, check. Also hiding inside my right shoe was the entire Cardinals defense. Apparently they opted not to leave AZ for the game today.

  5. Mr. Palmer Says:

good luck PB! I couldn’t run a half mile.

  6. voopa Says:

“Bib pinned to Wook Down shirt” – Almost lost a sip of my Sierra Nevada on that one!!!!!!!!!!

    Good luck bro.

  9. kenny powers Says:

Damn PB, that’s impressive. I’m more of a sprint like hell for 50 yards and then hack up a lung kind of guy than a distance/stamina kind of guy. Good for you. I’ll think of you when I’m nursing my Jameson hangover.

  10. Lycanthropist Says:

glad you liked the new setup attached to my name

its a lot easier to read and look at than the archive.org list page

  11. halcyon Says:

    Congrats Cub!!!! Great to hear.

  12. yesyes Says:

sorry for the re-post but i neeeeed to get my hands on some links for the sts9 acoustic show

  13. chefbradford Says:

    Cub- many congratulations

Lycan- “Everywhere and His…” was my first exposure to Modest Mouse, and still a favorite album (I know it’s an EP, you know what I mean) by them. Night on the Sun, Willful Suspension, Here It Comes, so much good stuff on it. Very psychadelic for them.

Just skimmed (very lightly) the last couple of pages

  14. chefbradford Says:

and it’s 40+ minutes since the last post. Fuck

  15. Little Buddy Says:

I don’t think anyone is around here right now, but let me add my congrats to Cub on his little one. Amazing stuff!

  16. BTB Says:

Let me Lie studio version has an accordian used in it.

Please tell me I’m not the only one who thinks that’s funny.

All the Colts fans on this board had a good day. Congrats.

  17. BTB Says:

This intro is pretty spectacular… and slightly odd…

  18. chefbradford Says:

Accordians, tastefully used, can be terrific. Tchad Blake (may be rusty on the name), who produced Phish’s critically acclaimed “Undermind” album, also produced Los Lobos’ critically acclaimed “Kiko” album (original source of ‘When the Circus Comes’), and several tracks on Kiko made perfect use of accordian.

Don’t knock it, bud. It’s often laughed at, but the accordian can be an amazingly powerful instrument.

For Nirvana’s ‘Unplugged’ performance, Novoselic (sp?) played accordian for the track “Jesus Don’t Want Me For a Sunbeam”, to fantastic effect.

  19. BTB Says:

Chefman – not knocking the accordian, but still, that strikes me as hilarious. I can just see Gordon screwing around on the accordian as soon as the player in the studio set it down. “do you mind?” – I guarantee he rocked that thing for a minute and then bought one.

I’m such a sap, rarely do I stay up this late, although with the ladyfriend being sick and all, I find myself sipping beer and listening to let me lie and watching Trey’s drug court adress to congress.

So glad Big Red is sober. Combine that with Let me Lie and yeah, I’m super sappy.

How do you know that many accordian facts, bro? PH fans never seem to amaze me with the music knowledge.

  20. Lycanthropist Says:

    anyone still there?

  21. chefbradford Says:

Ha, BTB, only reason I know that stuff about accordian is BECAUSE I’m a Phish fan! I dig and burrow here and there, ya know? That Lobos’ album, ‘Kiko’, is gorgeous, and you can taste the similarities if you listen to a couple of tracks from that and then a couple from ‘Undermind’.

And dude, I’m a huge sap. Stick me in a room full of jams, I’m gonna go for the heart-wrenching, intensely melodic jams every time!

It is pretty funny though 🙂

  22. Lycanthropist Says:

looks like my fellow nightowl chef is about

  23. KWL Says:

has anyone out there ever lived in Boulder? I need some recommendations for day hikes…

  24. chefbradford Says:

Yessir, Lycan. Been staying up too late, and sleeping waaay too late since I’ve been off work. Took a couple of needed days away from the Board, been kind of lurking since then.

  25. chefbradford Says:

I’ve seen a boulder, never lived in Boulder, sorry
