  2. Mr. Palmer Says:

Good Morning. @ gd- sorry i didn’t make the trek down to see ZPZ and meet you. Glad to hear it was a great show. I watched a few you-tube videos instead(loser). I don’t have to explain to you what its like, being a father of 3 yourself.Sometimes those last minute show decisions just don’t happen. BTW, hope your daughter is feeling better.

Just listen to Waves from Spac ’04- great jam. At least i think its the Spac version, part of an ’04 mix i got.

  4. BrandonKayda Says:

    Pretty good, pretty good

Played some of the Clifford Ball DVD today (Day 2 Set 2)

    That Slave is majestic

  5. Mr. Palmer Says:

Getting ready for a nice day of football here. I love just setting my itunes to shuffle and listening to randomness of the playlist. How’s this: China Cat from a 1973 Dead show into I Know you Rider from Phil and Phriends ’99. Out of thousands of possibilities, thats what comes up. Sweet.

  6. Marahall Says:

SPAC ’04 Waves is one of my faves!

  7. Lycanthropist Says:

gonna give one more shout out for my bass player’s radio show.

    He is currently broadcasting now.

It is a program called Tunes til Two.

Tunes Til Two was originally a very treasured show in MS and the surrounding area. It was one of the few times you could turn on the radio for good classic rock that wasn’t a rehash of the same 40 hits you have heard over and over and over. It was DJed by the great David Adcock, who not only had an incredible library and deep knowledge to pull from, but also an amazing ability to string songs together with themes and fluidity.

David Adcock died in 2000. It was a sad day for all who loved his show, and that was many.

Flash forward to the present. Sam Adcock (my bass player and David’s son) has picked up the reigns of his father’s legacy. Now every sunday from 8-2 you can get your taste of Tunes til Two. Give it a listen. Gotta give it up for my man Sam. This means so much to him and in turn us.

    streams here:

    Last set was:
    Robin Trower – Lady Love
Van Morrison – Into the Mystic
    Grateful Dead – Sugar Magnolia
    Paul Davis – Magnolia Blues

current set playing (the train set):
Cash – Down There By The Train
    CCR – Graveyard Train
    Tom Waits – Downtown Train
    Dylan – Slow Train
    Stones – Silver Train

  12. Mr. Palmer Says:

@ Marshall- I just wasn’t into Phish that much that last tour ’04. I think i just didn’t want to get to emotionally invested because i knew it was a trainwreck that was coming to a crashing halt. I only saw the 2 Coney Island shows and Camden that summer.
I appreciate the music so much more now. It doesn’t bring back any bad memories anymore. Not sure if that makes sense or not.

  13. Lycanthropist Says:

damn.. you guys are quiet this morning!

  14. whole tour! Says:

some of that last tour is just plain HARD to listen to.
There were some great mindbending jams on that run, but the composed sections were often very limp wristed.

Before Miami i was going back over that final tour just for shits and giggles. There was one “pebbles and marbles” that was so bad i had to actually get up and turn it off. I am thankful that they are practicing in 2009. The “pebbles and marbles” from the gorge def put that 04 version to shame. It’s just one of those songs that has to be played well for it to work.

  15. Lycanthropist Says:

limp wristed is being polite WT!

  16. whole tour! Says:

    yeah…it is!

  17. Marshall Says:

    I missed all of 2.0

  18. Lycanthropist Says:

    you still out there?

  19. Mr. Palmer Says:

saw some great shows in ’03. 2-28-03 is still top 3 for me all time.

  20. Lycanthropist Says:

i really enjoyed set 2 of Raliegh 03

  21. BrandonKayda Says:

Listening to some of your bass player’s radio show. Caught the end of Silver Train

  22. Lycanthropist Says:

hes kinda in a lovie dovie set right now, dedicated to his new fiancee

  23. whole tour! Says:

i missed all of 2004. I guess i was in shock over the announcement of the break up. The only part of 2004 i saw was coventry, and that was in a movie theater. I still remember going to a bar at what we thought would be the last setbreak ever and doing one last large round of drinks which we toasted “to phish!”

I’m so glad that wasn’t the last ever setbreak. The quality of the music from 2004 to 2009 is like day and night. It is just so great to hear that passion and spark back in it in 2009. It is really exciting again for all the right reasons. and it’s only going to get better.

  24. BrandonKayda Says:

Yeah 2009 showed they have got the love and passion for their music back. 2010 is going to be a stellar year for Phish

  25. BrandonKayda Says:

Miami was a huge step forward for 3.0

Amazing way to close out a great year
