And thusly done, more music enters the world. That’s a nice thought…

  2. BenHoadley Says:

I remember bugging out during the first few notes of Destiny Unbound in Long Island in 2003….It was almost as exciting @ Fenway last year.

  3. BrandonKayda Says:

Downloading 2-16-03 right now, have heard great things about that second set.

    Thanks Miner!

  4. BrandonKayda Says:

  8. Stir it with a Ladle Says:

What are the odds we can get Mr. Miners picks to the audio archive?

  9. Al Says:

The Worcester show is missing badly on that list…That’s a MUST Have.

Great to have that archive. Thanks!
    A good Camden 2003 recording is needed…

  10. Willowed Says:

Is it me or does Torn and Frayed give anyone else Goosebumps when you spin it?

Threw it on in the shower…..what a jam!

  11. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

  12. Litteringand Says:

Thanks Miner-still waiting for your deer creek tour stop post 🙂

  13. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

it’s not just you. T&F is a beautiful song that could have been written by/for phish. it just fits them perfectly.

  14. Ziggymon Says:

AWESOME. Thanks Miner. I have to agree with Al that Worcester ’03 is an addition that is needed along with the Miner’s Picks. Beggars can’t be choosers. They can just give their two cents.

  15. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

great JOTD today taboot. Having just finished grad school, I hit the “corn belt” run of Polaris>Alpine>Deer Creek that summer before heading east prior to an eventual Fall spent backpacking in Europe. These were my last shows before the NYE Run. Great way to start my “Grand Tour” (to put it into Renaissance parlance).

  16. bhizzle Says:

ahhh yes….2.28.03…missing the beginnings of Birds due to crazy bathroom lines (who would of thought the bathroom would’ve been so busy then!?!?!?!), then wondering what the hell is this song (Destiny Unbound), but still enjoying it (maybe partly cuz Mike was in the limelight), don’t remember the Gin so much, but the Back on the Train I remember loving, remember seeing peeps sit down and talk with looks of disgust when WOTC started and me and my buddy looking at each other like what’s wrong with these tools, remember the lil hotty that came next to us to puff and then remember loving the entire second set, but who couldn’t right? The glowsticks were amazing. Our seats were behind Page so we could see it all. I also believe that the glowsticks directed the playing of the Tweezer to what it has now been dubbed one of thee best Tweezers.

Then our walk back to the Quality Inn, stopping at the Qwiki-Mart and paying retarded prices for beer. At the Quality Inn, and Quality is by far what it really is, people were hoarding the ice and knocking on random doors and running. My friend and I were starting hold em games in the hall way. The staff of that fine establishment were busy that night.

    Thanks for the paper Scott!!

  17. Neemor Says:

Why does Baxter’s post mirror mine like that?
    I’m wierded out.

  18. Mitch Says:

Dunno if this was discussed yesterday:

Phish to play Wrigley??!!! It would be a fucking party. Dude I know dubbed that night wookieville instead of wrigleyville. We’d need to make wook down shirts with wookieville on them.

  19. BTB Says:

    2.28.2003 – It’s been a while since I revisited this monster.

    “best round room ever”

  20. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

yeah, I noticed that, neemor. plus, it’s not like it was right after yours. there’s a solid 45 minutes between them. weird…

  21. Neemor Says:

The person who was suggested as being a band member before (posterkid) posted it yesterday.
    Count it!

  22. Litteringand Says:

What if after the seventh song we got a acapella take me out to the ballgame? or bring the hawk out there to sing it

  23. BTB Says:

    Mitch – from that article

“I would like to see Phish perform at Wrigley Field on a Friday or Saturday night. They are a good band and would bring in alot of money for the bars around Wrigley. And not all fans of Phish are hippies either. There are many decent hardworking individuals like myself who is educated and has a job and thinks Phish is a talented band.”

Funny how being educated is an accomplishment…We have jobs? I’d like to throw in that several PH fans I know occasionally read the newspaper.

Joking aside, I always love how if you mention PH in an article, all the comments are about them. There’s no freakish Billy Joel following, even though that guy has sold out the Knick more times than the Albany River Rats!

  24. Neemor Says:

Ryno Sandberg should sing the Anthem with the boys.

  25. marcoesq Says:

    Awesome Miner, thanks!

Even though the ’03 LA>Vegas shows are chided by most, It was great having the boys back and being able to do my first west coast run so that weekend will always be memorable

Don’t think I’ve spun any of these 3 since that spring tour..
