    The Abominable Showmen

  2. Marshall Says:

Damn, Robear – your memory is tough. You don’t forget anything you read on the board, do you.

Again, BK – wasn’t arguing at all. Your post just sort of reminded me how often it occurs to me how “silly” (if not also repetitive on occasion) Phish lyrics can be sometimes (“Contact,” “Party Time,””David Bowie,” “Simple,” “Gotta Jiboo,” are just a few that pop to my mind). for the record, I love all the preceding songs, and don’t feel that there’s anything wrong with “silly” lyrics – it’s the music that matters anyway, imo.

  3. Marshall Says:

@ Robear – have you noticed that “FIX” has been picked up and is being used pretty often around here now? Should have filed that copyright registration.

  4. Robear Says:

Short term is fried, Marshall. That must have been at least a week or two ago 🙂

    lol @ Jay!

re: Lost. So much talk. I better get on board? I’ll have to DVR this season and play catch up, quick.

Would really sux for Colts and fans if Freeney can’t go in the SB.

  5. Robear Says:

Yeah, Marshall, that’s a good one. Should we make pins, stickers or can coozies?

  6. Marshall Says:

@ Robear – I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Lost. I watched it’s premiere episode on broadcast night and haven’t missed a single one since. Best non-comedy TV show ever.

  7. BingosBrother Says:

    FIX is genius.

  8. Marshall Says:

@ Robear – did you ever isolate the source of your speaker buzz?

  9. garretc Says:

    llfa, “the abominable showmen”!

  10. garretc Says:

Also, I’d like some rumors about west coast phish please… I feel like I’m so far behind in the “trying to throw together some semblance of a plan” category compared to y’all back east!

  11. Mr. Palmer Says:

Is there gonna be a no-Lost mantra in re: to the blackboard. being a huge fan of the show myself, i would love to discuss the show as the season unfolds. Unfortunately many are behind or haven’t started watching Lost yet. What do you think?

  12. garretc Says:

@Mr. Palmer, perhaps all the Lost-ies should exchange emails and discuss that way? Cause I’ve never actually watched Lost, but I feel like I might at some point, and I don’t want to have to avoid the blackboard!

Actually, I’d say spoiler alerts at the beginnings of posts should probably be fine… It’s easy enough to skip over posts I guess.

  13. Robear Says:

Marshall, (hangs head) I haven’t had a chance. It’s going to take some figuring out. My house is really small, so I have to separate the wires strategically.

I def. have a ton of stuff sitting near each other, and plugged into the same outlet.

  14. BrandonKayda Says:

I need to start watching Lost

Of course, that means I’d have to start from the beginning

  15. Robear Says:

Me 2 BK. The board hasn’t steered me wrong yet, re: tv, music, books, stories, rumors, etc.

  16. garretc Says:

Hey BK, if you’re looking for a show to watch, watch Arrested Development! Not only is it shorter than Lost, it’s hilarious! My roommate got me started and I watched the first season in about two days…

  17. ChefBradford Says:

    re: Lost

am finishing the first season right now. Started it a couple of years ago, fell out of it, trying to get back into it, mainly because I want to know what the hell is going on.

So, yeah, spoiler alerts at the top of posts would be a good thing

  18. Lycanthropist Says:

    @Mr. P

yeah i have been racking my brain tryin to think of a way we could all discuss lost without ruining it for the uninitiated

  19. ChefBradford Says:

Arrested Development was a great show, it’s a shame it only aired as long as it did

  20. Robear Says:

Is there a place online to stream old ‘Lost’ episodes in their entirety?

I forgot about Arrested Dev. That was phunnny.

  21. Lycanthropist Says:

obviously i highly recommend it (just check my avatar)

but at the same time, to you fellas that havent watched it:

dont worry about trying to catch up in time for this season. All the episodes are out there for the viewing. Enjoy all of them and try to pick up on all the incredible detail that goes into the writing.

    paraphrasing Stephen King’s mantra:

“the journey is always greater than the end”

those of us who are watching season 6 now may do well to remember this as well

  22. garretc Says:

I’d say, in addition to the spoiler alerts at the tops of posts, definitely leave some filler between the end of the spoiler and the end of the post, just to be safe…

  23. Marshall Says:

Lost is the perfect way to spend the Phish off-season. I’ll bet that’s why Page hasn’t scheduled a tour of any kind yet. Fishman probably has a Dharma station on his ME compound.

  24. Lycanthropist Says:

all have all the lost available for free streaming

  25. SillyWilly Says:

I was telling my gf about how I volunteered for the WW. I think this might be my ticket to get her into Phish. She was genuinely interested in it.
