  3. Mr.Miner Says:

alternate realities?…this getting crazier….The dark side seems to have taken over the island…

  4. jimmy falcone Says:

Ok so I missed last season finale on accident. Just fnished the new premiere after work at alpine. So the bomb worked and the plane never crashed and there lives are all still getting tangled. Also kinda feel like theyre already regretting it and should have crashed. But whats up with the story line continuing with the asian and the spring? Two different times I know but still a little odd. NOt sure where theyre going with this. Some peoples lives are better. Som are much worse….kate, locke, jack, maybe jin,,,charlie. Sayid is the only one coming out on top for along with the black lady and her husband. Interesting I guess I still ahvent processed it. Im staring season one from the beginning tomorrow and rewatching it all to get the full effect for this last season. Hope I can have them all done by next tuesday…HAHAHA…well see.

  5. lot rat Says:

split open and melt my fuckin skull.

sayid is jacob now. shit is going biblical. the free will of man is the focal point. some nice side shots of kate!

The band needs to play out west soon.

  6. Mr.Miner Says:

sayid is jacob?! how do you get that?

  7. Mr.Miner Says:

when Ben said back in season 2 or 3 “We are the good guys.” Looks like he was right.

  8. Mr.Miner Says:

…this new structure of two timelines as a clear representation of the famous Schrödinger’s cat paradox. The producers are simultaneously revealing the events of two timelines as they would result from a single event (the detonation of the bomb, and it’s interaction with the pocket of special energy at the Swan)

    * According to Erwin Schrödinger, the consequences of a ‘random’ event can lead to both outcomes simultaneously – until, that is, the event is ‘observed’ and the true outcome becomes reality. I am no expert in quantum theory, but perhaps someone more well versed in the related theories can add more substance to explain this evident metaphor for the episode structure…

  10. Mr.Miner Says:

Earth X: The “X” in ‘LA X’ stands for an alternate reality. It’s common use in comic books, both Marvel and DC Comics have an alternate history/timeline called “Earth X”.

  11. Weekapaug Says:

I just finished watching Lost tonight. Wow, I’ve got so much to say/ask. I’m going to pop on over to lostpedia for a bit. Thanks for getting this thread started, Miner. Be back in a bit.

  12. Weekapaug Says:

haha, love how people are calling him Flocke. Fake Locke? llfa

  13. Dr. Pronoia Says:

And poof, the (man-in-)blackboard becomes twice as addictive.

    As a nice counter-balance to Lostpedia, I’ve been a big fan of…

  14. Lycanthropist Says:

man that shit wsa through the roof.

i also felt that Jacoib may have found a new home in Sayids body

  15. Lycanthropist Says:

I have so much more to say, and I feel i need to watch again to fully comprehend what is goin down.

but i will say that i noticed a few things.

Some of the same type of relationships and actions that the 815 survivors experienced in Season 1 on the island seem to be taking place on the plane and after in LAX.

I think the John that didn’t crash on the island has a pretty good idea of what is going on.

He was the first to realize that there was more to the island, and I feel that he is the first to realize that there is more to just landing safely in LAX

  16. Mr. Palmer Says:

My initial thought was that Jacob had taken residence inside Sayid.

  17. Mr. Palmer Says:

Also, dead Jacob communicating through Hurley was interesting. Is Hurley some sort of new leader. Few people has Jacob communicated with on the Island…just a random thought. Its early, i need to re process and possibly re-watch.

  18. Boghog2001 Says:

Great first episode. I thing the two “strings” will converge. Notice that Juliet says “it worked” Since she was not on the plane her reality from the incident to the team ending up in 2007 is different than Jacke, Kate, etc. With Juliet trapped undr the wreckage of th swan station ( see desmonds red bike) not the wreckage of the incident we are a future time. Indeed in one string the team prevented the incident which made Faradays plan come true and they landed at LAX. We will see the story unfold in 2004 as the team starts to meet each oth (jacka nd Locke//Kate and Sawyer already have) and then they will end up on the island at the imploding swan station and end up doin everything we saw them do on he island last night in 2007.

In the other string the bomb did cause the incident so the plan cashed and everything we have seen so far in this series up until this season happened. The incident somehow also catapulted the team to 2007 to the swan site with Juliet trapped. She knows it worked because the Juliet that syas that knows that the plane never crashed. Thus is the first time she has seen Sawyer since the incident.

Both strings converge in 2007 in last nights episode. It always ends the same, everything else is just progress.

Random thought: did Desmond replace Christian on the plane?

  19. Paul Says:

I think Jacob is definitely tied to sayid in some way. Last nights episodes were stellar. Crazy twists and mindfucks like always, but there is definitely a sense of direction in the season that is already obvious. That’s awesome because it means they know how to end it and won’t be making it up as they go along, which is what I was worried they were goingto do, but i think we all better buckle up, it’s gonna be a hell of a season. Also, interesting speculation/theory: they progress the two timelines (crash/didn’t crash) ad in the finale, Jacob or some other power gives one of the survivors the opportunity to choose which timeline is actually carried out. Would be pretty interesting… I’m so glad this show is back!

  20. Lycanthropist Says:

I definitely think that is why Jacob touched Hurley and made sure that he made it to the island.

I think he knew that he was going to be killed and made sure that he had certain people in place to help him carry out his counter plan.

He needed a broken soul to inhabit (Sayid)
He needed someone to reset (Jack)
He needed someone to communicate to (Hurley)
He needed the power of love (Sun and Jin)

but why the fuck would he need Kate’s triflin ass?

  21. Lycanthropist Says:

And man is Flocke an evil character now.

I had held out being sure that Jacob was actually supposed to be good.

But after last night, wether or not Jacob is good, The Man in Black is an evil mofo.

  22. willowed Says:

I watched the first hour TIVO’d the second. The first hour was solid. The two realities is a pretty cool concept. Wonder how they’re going to bring that together.

Question, I recall Jack meeting The Aussie guy when he was running at a stadium (I think he was training for a boat race), do you think when Jack asked him “Do I know you?” on the plane, he was relating to that meeting or the time on the island?

The first hour peeked my interest. I will watch the second hour tonight so I am trying not to read your posts. I don’t want you to give anything away!

I hope you welcome me on your team.

  23. beepaphone Says:

“but why the fuck would he need Kate’s triflin ass?”

llfa…mostly just so Jack and Sawyer can still hate each other as the season moves on. The Yang to Sun and Jin’s Yin.

    Or maybe cuz she’s hot.

  24. Splatty Says:

What I don’t get, is who are the temple people that are led by the Asian dude? They aren’t the original Others, they’re like a whole other group of Jacob worshipers. Did they exist on the island all this time and we just never have come across them until now? They’re temple was that close to the hatch and nobody ever stumbled across it? I know we’ve been jumping through time and space, but it seems like were all back in present day now.

  25. Lycanthropist Says:

yeah i guess he brought her so he could use her to motivate Jack and Sawyer
