The Middle of the Week
======
In order to preserve everyone’s personal journey through the six seasons of LOST, I have created a specific post/thread to discuss this week’s episode. Keeping LOST discussion to this location will keep people who are behind from reading spoilers – because that is the worst. Please respect this and keep all show commentary in the previous post.

This is one of the first jammed out “2001’s,” coming before Trey began playing ’97 funk licks – a psychedelic combination. And the “Simple,” included on the extra disc of “Vegas ’96,” is simply sublime.

@TypeIII
I know I may be young, but I watched the 1990 tie with Penn State when the Rocket got hurt in its entirety. I remember the “Snow Bowl”.
I was born in Notre Dame football pajamas. My first clear memory is walking down the tunnel when I was four. I wept openly at the 2000 Fiesta Bowl.
Youre right though. I was too young for the glory of the late 80s and early 90s, but I probably know more about that period than people who were there.
Frank Stams, Wes Pritchett, and Michael Stonebreaker are still my favorite ND football players.
and im sorry, TypeIII, i didnt mean that to be contentious. I meant it in a “little brother defends his passion” kind of way.
can anybody point a brother in the right direction to find a site with phish
song lyrics? ive made it my goal before any further shows to understand lyrics better. For me the instrument arrangement has always been in the spotlight, while lyrics remain in the background.
@silly
I didn’t mean to come off like you don’t know what you are talking about, just trying to emphasize how long it’s been since ND and PSU were real rivals. sorry for any confusion!
@stupendous
yes indeed i do play the keys
enjoyed your grooves too by the way
I wept when rocket’s kick got called back in the 1990 Colorado game
Lycan: Keep it up!
I wish i lived in an area where I could find like-minded peeps to play with…
For now I just have fun producing solo stuff…
“The only good thing about Harry Hood is the jam… And that beer he brought from upstate NY”
^ Truer words have never been spoken
I actually messed that up, showing my overeagerness. Penn State won that game in 90 24-21.
phish.net has most of the lyrics I believe
If you ever figure them out, come back and explain them to us
@ Cub
Ha! Ha! Doubt that i will but who knows! thanks
@TypeIII
no confusion. i meant it all in good fun! like i said it was just a little bit of the little brother complex.
its always been a spot of sensitivity in me that i could never really own the Holtz glory years as mine.
@litteringand
that was a bad call.
all i’ve got to my name TypeIII is disappointment and broken dreams.
the Bush Push.
the BCS debacles.
Ryan Grant fumbling twice on the goal line against Tennessee.
Pat Dillingham handing the ball to Boston College.
Navy (2)
Pete Carroll.
I was at that Orange Bowl game when the Phantom Clip was called. Could see from my seats in the stands that the call was incorrect.
@stupendous
the Official Releases section of phish.com will have the published lyrics for any song that appears on an album, but cub is right that phish.net will have lyrics in the Song Histories section. Some have yet to be uploaded though. you can web search for them, but the lyrics websites out there don’t always have things correct (like for Tube, Harpua, Kung, and other non-album tracks).
“lyrics websites out there don’t always have things correct ”
But that’s ok, becuase historically, neither does Trey;)
Ever since Pete Betrich(spelling?) dropped a certain game ending interception against BC in 94 in has been down hill. Here’s hoping for return to being a relevant program again
@TIII
thanks, im diving deep today into lyrics…
theyll get there litteringand.
we just have to keep the faith…don’t want to be jaded ND fans, though sometimes its very hard not to be.
Willy
I do have some faith that they can come back. All I wanted out of a new head coach was two things. 1)He had actually been a college head coach 2) He had won at his previous jobs. I got both of those so no complaining from me. I have other motives for wanting ND to be good again. That being I live in South Bend and the town is ALOT more fun to live in when their good.fact
I’ve got to head to class.
thanks for chatting everyone!
sorry to talk too much about notre dame football. im just nervous for today.
also, sorry to be argumentative. sometimes its hard to convey the grin and and tongue-in-cheek nature of poking fun through the text on the board.
i value everyone’s friendship here and would never intentionally say anything to offend anyone. that goes for now and always!
right on Litteringand.
i completely agree.
stup,
what songs are you looking up?
Litteringand,
I understand that sentiment entirely. In Kentucky, the one thing you could always count on was that the basketball team was going to be relevant, year in year out. The past 2 years have been hard. I almost stopped watching college basketball completely. Winter is much more enjoyable here this year.
could anyone help me with etree? im computer stupid, and need some guidance. i would like to dl and play shows through itunes, but i can’t figure out why they wont play. do i have to convert them? how do i do that?
