and, the soundboard streams from Miami sound great. Rocking Tweezer right now.

  2. Mr. Completely Says:

I’d be a DJ except it takes me like 6 months to put a mix together LLFA

would love to see both Circles and Come on Baby in rotation for sure, both fantastic songs and well suited for Trey

  3. Mr. Palmer Says:

and of course the 30 min. Goodbye Head thats coming….

  4. albert walker Says:

Come on Baby is a fav amongst junkies

that Crazy Horse album it first appeared on is a fav also
Not the Neil version but the original

one of the earlier white boys copping in the hood songs

VU waiting for my man being the first I know of

knew something was up when Trey started covering that one

  5. albert walker Says:

    Let The Goodtimes Roll!!

I guess he is playing the Jimi version though

  6. whole tour! Says:

full moon and a jumping tune…you don’t have to ask

  7. gavinsdad Says:

after a year or so i’m starting to see where miner is coming from on some of his picks and why he really holds them in high regard. we both have a different grading scale…i think i’ve been pretty clear that i’m more like Whole Tour! in that i am looser on analysis and tighter on let me get my yayas out crossed with “phish concerts are my special place”. but i too am/was able to acknowledge the wear and tear….esp in 03/04.

that said…the split i just listened to that miner posted yesterday is a mindfucker…way out…and i love that stuff but i never really separated it from anything else i was seeing…when the band went out i went out. it’s nice to see these songs isolated by miner (or anyone of you guys/gals) with a little in-depth analysis to go along with them….what tour it was…what venue it was…what the playing style of the time was…etc etc..

this place is a wealth man….simply cannot beat it.

tweezer now…the classic crunchy and hard tune mixed with ethereal? now you’re speaking my language…

  8. Leo Weaver Says:

@dad…from last night, “troegs nugget nectar” – pretty good stuff, huh? maybe I should pick some up, I’ve looked at it several times at the store but never made the grab.

  9. gavinsdad Says:

leo – man, you will not go back…that is until they release it again the following year since it’s a seasonal release. dare i say that it has a “dank bouquet’? seriously man…do not pass go.

  10. lastwaltzer Says:

@AW the horse released a separate version of “downtown” then the one thats been on TTN? I always thought the album it was going to be on never got made, thus it appearing on TTN.

  11. Mitch Says:

    how to get ‘baned

since i’ve been gone is this the new term for smoking the Neemsbane. ?

  12. albert walker Says:

    Crazy Horse Crazy Horse
    Reprise 1971

one of my top 20 rock albums of all time

  13. joe Says:

sweet bassline by Mike in the Miami tweezer at about the 9:30 mark. Kind or ironic that Mike is much better (or at least more confidently out front) in 09 than some of the older shows we’ve been listening to, but the Mike’s Groove is worse.

  14. whole tour! Says:

i love beer that smells like good neemsbane. Right when you open it…it just hits you in the face. A couple of beers that smell like that are heinekin and stella artrois.

Hops are actually a distant relative of neemsbane and read that the two speicies can easily be grafted together. Anyone ever hear of this?

  15. Leo Weaver Says:

thanks @dad…sounds good to me. I like “dank bouquet”. I’ll pick some up tomorrow when I get home. One of my goals for 2010 is to seriously expand my common beer palette. My local beer store, which opened about a year ago, has really stepped up their selection. I feel bad when I walk out with one of the same 5-6 usual suspects. As the owner said, “the more variety you buy and drink, the more variety I’ll order for you.” (assuming the distributors can get it)

  16. Leo Weaver Says:

@mitch…yeah, it caught fire (pun intended). now puff and exhale

  17. lastwaltzer Says:

@Aw i’ll have to grab that. I love when neil plays with the horse I for some reason have never picked up any of their albums.

  18. joe Says:

so the girlfriend just called. I had to tell her that I was in the middle of something here at work and that I’d call her back. It wasn’t a lie, but what I was in the middle of was just the Tweezer.

  19. whole tour! Says:

@ leo – if the beer guy near you can special order stuff – pick up a case of MAD Manatee by Bold city Brewery. Some of the best beer i’ve ever had. Comes from a bad ass local brewery i just discovered here in town. They have a brew room there where you can try like 10 different dank beers they make.

  20. Mitch Says:

    leo,
puffing and exhaling wont happen til 7-7:30. stupid work… LEAST IM OFF ON MONDAY SO I CAN SLEEP IN AFTER PARTYING ALL NIGHT FROM A COLTS VICTORY!!

how many of you get to do that?

  21. whole tour! Says:

    http://www.boldcitybrewery.com/

  22. lastwaltzer Says:

    @AW
so wait didnt TTN come out in 75 or 76? What was the reason for including a 5 year old song that was already released? Just a tribute to danny?

  23. Robear Says:

great convo last night, ya’ll. I was lurking late night.

WT inspired me to throw on 12/30/09 II as this mornings Hippy Neemsball soundtrack.

The ‘Sand’ gets in and out of an amazing groove so fast, it’s almost scary.

Sumodie, I was giving you a compliment yesterday, too. Def. not ball-busting. I said it before, you’re the don of calm cool and collected on tour. I was head scratching at why I went to so many shows with the fella’s while you were surrounded with angels.

    ^CHECK THIS OUT, NOW!

  25. gavinsdad Says:

@ leo – it’s a winner…but i’m like you…my default is Yards Philly Pale Ale at all times. (yards is a phila brewery). And i keep an eye out for Bear Republic Racer 5 IPA, Oskar Blues Gordon, and Russian Rivers Pliny the Elder. that’s been my “tops” list for the past couple of years. Guess i need to break out to and check out the Bells Two Hearted…

@AW – you probably have it but the first Neil Young archival release was a live Crazy Horse show from the Fillmore East. really straight ahead ripping Crazy Horse…grab it if you dont have it.
