Initial Thoughts: I haven’t heard the show yet, but am excited to see the debut of “Liquid Time!” After the eerie excursion that stemmed from the song during Festival 8’s soundcheck, everyone has been waiting too see where it would pop up. Using his solo tour to work the song out, one would expect to see the Party Time track in Phish setlists this summer. Impossible to know what happened without hearing the show, it’s great to see “Goodbye Head” back on Trey’s plate after an absence from his Classic TAB tour in 2008. Another elaborate composition > ethereal jam that would translate beautifully to Phish, one must wonder if this is why Trey has brought it back to life. After only playing “Valentine” twice on his pre-Phish tour, one imagined he was stashing it away for his other band. After never making an appearance with Phish in 2009, I wonder if he has also brought it back for pre-summer polishing? A host of debuts only means more potential Phish songs! I’ll get these shows up asap, but that’s all I’ll say without hearing things first.

Wish Trey was coming out west…

  2. ChefBradford Says:

Tim- Jen Hartswick siad in the jambands.com interview that they should be out West by year’s end

Mr Miner- excited about Trey tour and what it might mean for Phish later this year. I’d heard “Valentine” was a great song, but have never actually heard it.

That NYE 93 “Reba” is definitely a favorite jam from that year.

Also, Mr Miner, I listened to about half of your late-90s DJ mix tonight. Beautiful. The “Tweezer” and “Ghost” mixes I’ve heard several times each, and enjoyed, but this one really got me. Great work!

  3. ChefBradford Says:

    Said, not siad

  4. Mr.Miner Says:

Thanks man! Here’s all the posts with downloadable DJ mixes. I like that Ambient one too. It flows really well.

    There you go 🙂

  6. ChefBradford Says:

    Wow, thank you sir!

Really, really love coming to this site every day. Found it a couple of months after you started it, read regularly, began posting around F8. You’ve done a great thing here, and I’m both proud and happy to be a small part of it! Plan on making this year’s donation to the site a regular annual or biannual happening.

Love everything you do, Mr Miner, and thank you for it!

Been watching Lost Season 1. That show is addicting

  8. ChefBradford Says:

I’m more or less still up, BK

You’re doing well, I hope? How goes school?

  9. (Formally Known As) BrandonKayda Says:

School is going fine as of now, have had honor roll all year. Thanks for asking

Anyways, I think I’m off to sleep now. Goodnight Chef

  10. ChefBradford Says:

  11. Tim McCracken Says:

Anyone know where I can download trey show

  12. Willowed Says:

Hey Miner and good morning boys!!

Thanks for the setlist. I was poking around this a.m. looking for it. Went on Trey.com and other places. Then I was like, “I am so stupid”, Miner will have it. Of course, you did!
Love to see Goodbye Head on the list, I love the composition.

    Play it in CT. Trey….PLease!
    Thanks again Miner!

  13. HarryHood Says:

Morning Willowed! Quiet morning on the BB. I wish I was joining you cats for the CT TAB show, but I can only make it to Boston. Looking at the setlist from last night, it sounds like a good show. I’m anxious to hear how they sound.

  14. pages_sandwich Says:

Thanks Miner! how about 3-11-90 @ the front?

  15. HarryHood Says:

    Miner,

There is a show that I would love to see added to the archive if you are still taking requests. It is the Ben and Jerry’s “Phish Food” release show at the Flynn Theater on 3/18/97. You could only get tickets in person and unless you lived in Burlington, there was no chance at getting in. I remember sitting by the radio listening to the whole show from only a half hour away and being really bummed that I wasn’t able to be there. Most of the recordings that you can get only have a few select songs from the show and not the entire thing. The Cinnamon Girl was a really great way to open up the first set and the addition of local artists Dave Grippo and Tammy Fletcher to the lineup made this show pretty unique!

  16. Willowed Says:

Nice request Hood. That’s a rare one!

  17. HarryHood Says:

I remember actually taping this one live as it played on the FM broadcast and I wore the tape out listening to it. The show just has a really different feel to it. Could be that they were playing literally 100 feet from Nectar’s for the first time in years or that they were just enjoying being in Burlington and playing with friends and local talent, but this was a really unique show and you can hear it.

  18. Willowed Says:

    Survey completed!

  19. Willowed Says:

If I had one wish (Phish related) it would be this.
A mini tour that focused on Phish playing at all the venues from way way back.
    Toads Place
    The Campus Club etc….
All the little venues they played back in the day.
It wil never happen, but man it would be fun.
    I love those intimate shows.
I had tickets to see Oysterhead at Toad’s place way back. I was so excited to see Trey in a small venue. Thank God Mike i coming here in March.
The Oysterhead show was cancelled due to 9/11
    God damn those terrorists!

  20. Willowed Says:

Off to work, catch you boys later!

  21. SillyWilly Says:

Well, I was supposed to stay off the blackboard for another 29 hours, but I just snuck in for a quick peak at what was going on…and THANK YOU, MR. MINER! I have wanted to listen to the “Stonehenge Show” as TypeIII calls it since I knew about it. I’m a big ND fan and my dad went to ND. Some of my friends said that if Phish played at halftime at a ND football game my head would explode out of pure joy.
I think seeing the interlocking ND sign on the board today is about as close as Ill ever get to that fantasy.

    Thanks again, Mr. Miner!

  22. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

thanks for the DOTD, Miner. Too bad there isn’t a source for those missing songs…

  23. SillyWilly Says:

hey typeIII, thanks for making the request!

  24. wilson8or Says:

    Thanks Miner!
