Voidboy, what’s funny is I either have 3,000,000 thoughts go through my head at a show or barely any.

Every time I walk out I always say some stupid shit like, “Yeah, that Funky Bitch was rocking and the REBA was tits” – and that’s the end of my review! Not sure how Miner puts together one of these every night during tour. I know my ‘tour schedule’ wouldn’t allow much time for writing reviews.

Miner must have a club membership at Denny’s where he eats a Grandslam and writes these hippie-speed-ball-style. I for one, am passed out till noon.

To really “nail it” would definitely take some practice.

I have a hard time recalling details about the show and the songs. I got lost in my own space and come out going, “Oh, David Bowie, how cool.” And then later I’m smiling, “oh wow, still David Bowie, sweet… their tearing this one up.” But loving every minute of it.

  4. neemor Says:

    Seriously, I did one review.
Now, it was for my first TAB show ever, you can tell, but I couldn’t do one every night.
Esp. after getting spun, without things getting repetitious.
I love reading his site every day, it’s crazy.
    Man’s a genius.

When I write reviews, a lot of the time I like to be listening to the song while I am writing, that way I can do a detailed play-by-play of what is going on and when. However, writing the review based on memory alone would be more difficult for sure. But I’m definitely going to write a review when I see Phish this summer. Not in an overly-critical way, but more-so just describing my overall experience and painting a picture of a few of the big highlights of the night

I personally cannot wait for this summer when I have that opportunity. Phish 2010 is going to be a killer folks, Trey is red-hot on these TAB shows from my ears. And a happy, tight Trey leads to great things.

    Looking forward to it.

@gdad: yeah, i waited in that roseland line all spun. turned out to be a really fun nite. was in line on b’way in front of david letterman theater when large bank clock turned 4:20am -whole crowd cheered loudly -corny but very funny.

    T5 tomorrow -hmmm…gears turning, but doubtful…but?

  7. BTB Says:

Can Trey really write tunes like ‘show of life’ on his iphone while eating sushi? Nice…

  8. Gavinsdad Says:

Sumodie: if you come up with another reason to be in NYC beyond TAB it will knock you off the fence for sure. I really like egging people on re: trey/phish.

  9. neemor Says:

    sumo: be tere.
I hear gavinsdad is going hunting for humans.

  10. neemor Says:

    be there, I meant.

Hey, BK, sorry I didn’t stay on the board long enough to talk about gene ween last night….it was sort of a weird night.

Anyway, without knowing anything about Ween before the show I came out remembering El Camino, Buenos Tardes, and a song about a man flying a kite??

are these good songs to like?

Hey guys! Haven’t posted in a while but still around… been digging the new TAB sound… so joyous and soulful! Never heard Shine before and it’s been stuck in my head since i heard it, great horns arrangement!

Have fun in NYC tomorrow! Gonna be a groove-fest! Wish I could be there…

    Enjoy! πŸ™‚

  14. HarryHood Says:

    @ Frankie

How’s things north of the line my friend?

  15. HarryHood Says:

Did I get left alone in the bar again?

  16. weekapaug Says:

Yes, Buenos Tardes is a GREAT song to like.
Saw STS9 last night for the first time in many years. That shit blew my mind. Tea Leaf played Saturday and that was better than I remember. MMW, ALO, New Monsoon and Dirty Dozen all playing here in Tahoe the next couple weeks. Life is good. Now all we need is some more snow!

  17. sumodie Says:

wouldnt you know it, ticketmaster has T5 TAB tickets available. against better judgement i bought one, not 5 minutes ago.

    see you in nyc, blkbrders.

  18. Frankie Says:

    Great Harry! But cold… πŸ™‚

Still haven’t gotten some snowboard boots but i’ll let you know if that ever happens for our trip to Jay Peak… if it’s not this winter, it’s gonna be next but it’s gonna happen…

Pretty broke right now as i am not working…

  19. HarryHood Says:

    Frankie,

Heading up to Jay Peak on Sunday. Get some boots man!

  20. weekapaug Says:

Hey Farnkie, would you fit in a size 8 boot? I have a brand new pair of 32’s that didn’t fit and never been worn. The Ultra Lite model. I was going to sell them on craigslist but if they fit you…

  21. (Formally Known As) BrandonKayda Says:

    @Silly –

El Camino is a rarity tune for Ween. Has a “White Rabbit” tease somewhere in there. Kite-Flying Man is a Gene Ween tune. I like it, but I can imagine why some wouldn’t. Gene Ween solo is much different than the Gene Ween Band, which is different from Ween itself.

    Buenos Tardes is awesome.

  22. neemor Says:

    sumodie, you’re the effing man!
    Can’t wait.

  23. neemor Says:

Vancouver looks so nice on TV!

  24. halcyon Says:

Vancouver is even nicer in person Neemor πŸ˜‰

  25. neemor Says:

    Did you guys see that?
sumodie just bought a ticket to the circus!
New Orleans jazz parades, statue dancing, lights going on and off and human hunts!
NYC is blowing up tomorrow night!
