Well, listening party later then? I’ve got time for a full set later. Ideas? Discuss while I’m gone and I’ll cue it up around 9.

  2. HarryHood Says:

@ Marshall, you could follow my lead?

  4. HarryHood Says:

    Alright. I’m out.

  5. lastwaltzer Says:

@HH you bought one for each of us I hope.

  6. Marshall Says:

I know that the whole world watches too much TV these days – not going to argue that. But deciding to cut it off completely – I don’t think I can do that.

  7. lastwaltzer Says:

@marshall its a lot easier then you think. I just watch films on my computer, sitcoms don’t do it for me. Plus the news is shit these days and you can get all the major papers for free online anyways.

  8. joe Says:

If I didn’t like to watch sports, I wouldn’t really need a tv at all…plus these days you can get anything you really want to see on the computer.

  9. lastwaltzer Says:

Plus the best news program isn’t even carried by most providers.

  10. Marshall Says:

The whole mission of my business is to get people to have bigger TVs in their houses, connected to great audio systems. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Joe, the reply was:

The Cats are really good, BUT…
They have hit a tough spot of late. All of these 18 year old kids that have never been gaurded or knocked around in their lives are starting to feel what it’s like to go through a 16 game conference schedule. They are realizing that going to places like South Carolina isn’t easy. Life isn’t a highlight reel, and they have to value the basketball.

They have to work hard on the defensive end for 40 minutes.

All in all, they are young. Wall is Wall. Everything people say about him is true, and he is going to be one of the greats. But right now, he’s 18. He makes dumb plays sometimes. Not bashing him, it’s what I said pre-season when the hype machine was in over drive.

Now, on the flip side, I think Cal has another three weeks to get them clicking and having fun again. He’s a great coach. This is the most talented team in the country. But, we have some work to do before I want to get on the court with Kansas.

I’m not one of those Final 4 or wasted year type of fans. This has been the first time college basketball has been fun in ages, and that’s all I ask for. Let’s win the SEC, win a boatload of SEC tourney titles. That’s our job.

Then, we will take our chances in the Madness. It’s called Madness for a reason. That reason being: Cornell can come out and beat a KU or UK in the second round. Don’t judge a season on that game.

One more thing: DeMarcus Cousins, aka Boogie is an unstoppable force. A freak of nature. If I have the #1 pick, it’s not a sure fire John Wall pick for me.

Sorry for hijacking the board to talk to Joe for a minute.

  12. EL Duderino Says:

All this excitement over the TAB tour and some of the fine pulls we’re getting, and then Charlie Miller goes and gives us a major up-grade of GD 7/08/78 Red Rocks Amphitheater – Morrison, CO. show with promises of 7/07/78 to come tomorrow!!!

The 7/08/78 show is up @ Workingman’s Tracker now and should be up @ Lossless Legs and bt.etree shortly folks!

  13. lastwaltzer Says:

@marshall I’m all about the great audio, I like screens too, just not when cable is hooked up to them. RCA cables………….well thats a different story.

  14. joe Says:

or on your phone, or whatever your technology of choice is

  15. EL Duderino Says:

The best Red Rocks performances ever!!!!

  16. Marshall Says:

Not saying you have to subscribe to cable or satellite. My concern is the equipments (displays, speakers, etc.). If you are going to get your content from the internet, do yourself a favor and eventually connect your computer to a large LCD panel and good speakers.

One thing that’s still missing from most movies on the computer – multi-channel surround sound.

  17. gratefulcub Says:

    Group Listen:

We should plan ahead, so everyone can get the show, but we should branch out and do a dead show. Maybe this Friday, or next Monday? We could all go get this Red Rocks 78 show by then.

    what say you all?

  18. joe Says:

Marshall would shake his head in shame at my entertainment setup. It wasn’t even good when it was new 15-20 years ago.

  19. Marshall Says:

nah – I’d just see it as an opportunity ๐Ÿ™‚

  20. Mitch Says:

i dont have cable or i’d hook you up. i tried to login with my timewarner login for my cable inet and it doesnt work.

balls. why dont they share the olympics. shouldnt everyone get to watch?? its the freaking olympics for crying out loud.

  21. joe Says:

@cub: re:hoops. I know that people are saying this year is the chance for Kentucky, and watching UNC + UConn (possibly L’ville too) go from being #1 seeds last year to not making the tourny this year backs that up, but Cal is a great coach (not just recruiter) and he’ll keep you guys very competitve for as long as he’s the coach, which is probably until the NCAA starts creeping around.

  22. gratefulcub Says:

Or as NBC calls it: a bad 3 billion dollar investment

  23. neemor Says:

Dude, you blow my mind, man.
I’d like to cross your path someday…

  24. Halden Says:

I am sitting here going through Tom Waits Glitter and Doom and man the Tom Tales portion is fantastic.

  25. joe Says:

any Canadian or other International streaming sites for you guys maybe?
