flarrdogg- thanks buddy! This show I’m watching now, what a way to enter into live Phish! Del McRoury, Ricky Skaggs, Ronnie McRoury, Del McR Band, Wynona Ryder, Hood>Dog Faced Boy>Hood, an elusive YEM encore

    I was hooked going in

I was in love, and irrevocably lost, coming out!

  2. Foul_Domain Says:

neemor – you say that like its a foregone conclusion.

do you really think its just a matter of time?

  3. ChefBradford Says:

DOH! Not, obviously, Wynona Ryder— Wynona Judd! My B, long weekend

  4. Mr. Completely Says:

    why wouldn’t they?

    might be awhile though

saving those big releases for retirement income

  5. neemor Says:

    Trey @ 11:28!

    What Mr. C said.
It was much too much to take in during that weekend, a video retrospective will be amazing.
    Ask posterkid.

  7. flarrdogg Says:

They filmed it. It looks phenomenal. The demand is there. Why wouldn’t they put it out? I kind of feel the same way about archival releases from peak eras (fall ’97 for example- which has been grossly underrepresented IMO). They release it, I’ll buy it. No question.

retirement income- You may be right, Mr. C. I say strike while the iron is hot!!

  8. BingosBrother Says:

If Phish still needs retirement income, then I must be really f’ed.

  9. neemor Says:

    lllfa BingosBro…

It’s too bad, but these are surely snippets that we’d see.
I’d love to see footage spliced in from all around the Festy, musical and otherwise.
It makes me warm just thinking about it…

  10. flarrdogg Says:

neemor and others- If you haven’t seen it, I’d recommend searching phish at vimeo’s home page. They put out an official montage from Went, Lemonwheel, and IT. I think maybe to hype fest 8 last year. There is a bunch of other cool stuff as well.

  11. neemor Says:

Boy, that video of Free from Cypress shows Trey at his most drug-addled best…
    That jam is so oxy’d…
Wiping his nose repeatedly, gentle vocals, no attack…just coasting.
    And it’s a good version!
    Crazy.

    Compare that to him now…
    Different man.

  12. flarrdogg Says:

    Different man indeed.
    Bueans Noches, le shaq noir.

  13. Mitch Says:

Talk about living in the future! Take 5 mins and watch this.

    Really, really cool stuff.

The first time Phish played in WV is the one Phish show I miss skipping out on. Phish was doing a four run tour in the South… one show in Winston Salem (with Dave Matthews as the topener), one show in Charlotte at the Grady Cole Center, then the West Virginia show, then one show in either Columbia or Spartansburg SC (can’t remember which). My group of friends and I made all of the shows except the WV one, deciding to go camping on the NC/SC border instead. The next day, I spoke to a friend to a friend of a friend of mine who told me they did the entire gamehenge set in WV the night before. That was the second to last time Phish has done the entire gamehenge story, and with the front-to-end Hoist second set, making it a show that would never ever be repeated, I was devastated for having skipped it. I, to this day, regret having missed that show. But in those days, especially in the South, Phish was still relatively new and unheard of, and even though I knew how important and monumental of a show I had missed, it still breaks my heart that I missed that show to go camping and take a day off. Well…

  17. m00nshake Says:

I’m still happy Trey looked right at me, smiled, and waved when i saw him with TAB in Charlotte. One day, if I’m lucky, we’ll have a chance to sit down at chat and reminisce about the good ole’ days.
