wife of the year? yours wins

    ^ by far

  2. Mr.Miner Says:

veeryone on hear pimps 12.30 so much….I really think the sets of Miami are 12.29 II and 12.31 II…then 12.30 II, but hey, I argue AGAINST ranking music, so to each their own. The vacuumm shtick kind of spoils the set for me. I prefer the 2001 > Slave of 12.29 😉

  3. kayatosh Says:

@silly: you sound like a righteous fellow and i wish you well. what’s done is done, as far as debt. try to work you way through it and learn from the experience. working for the gov’t can be a numbing experience, but if it’s the path to getting out of debt, do it. you’ll have some semblance of a life and you don’t have to feel like a mercenary/slave for some big firm that doesn’t give a hoot about you or your ideals.

The Chicago Number Line is pretty sweet

  6. kayatosh Says:

@miner: yes, 12/30 grinds to a halt with the vacuum bit. doesn’t hold up on tape. a

12/30 is a runner up to 12/29 and 12/31, esp. 12/31 set II. although, i do really enjoy 12/30’s curtain with>lifeboy –gorgeous.

  7. Phamily Berzerker Says:

Feliz Cumpleaños, Señor Miner! Que te diviertas!

Robear, I live yards from a reservation. There is a community garden there that we tend to with another family on the res. Life is different there. Gotta love Res dogs!

There is a neat little voyage into CWTAE in the end fo my friend, from that Vail show.

That whole CO run was a blast.

zzyzx, what other shows did you hit that spring?

I am happy for all you BBers finlaly getting the goods weatherwise.

This weekend I have some one on one with my youngest. Right now the RR4 set 2 DVD is keeping her entertained unitl we head to the park for a picnic lunch.

I am aslo incredibly hung over from Tequila, Corona and Scotch.

Memorial Fundraiser dinner tonight for cystic fibrosis then the local dead cover band with Jim Page guesting for an acoustic set then an electric set.

  8. butter Says:

i knew you were loving that set 2 on nye, Miner

with RR, Piper and Ghost in the same set

  9. SillyWilly Says:

kayatosh: you wouldn’t happen to be an attorney would you?

either way, thank you very much for your insights.

Im 23 and its tough to find people just a few years older than me to get some advice from. My parents are great for advice, but theyve been pretty financially secure for the last 15-20 years, so I wonder if they remember what it was really like. And being kind people they often volunteer to go into debt with me which is great but I dont want them to be responsible if i mess up.

i feel like my personal questions occupy the board a lot. I apologize for this and we can talk about other things if its a problem.

i’ve just never experienced a community that supports the way i think as this one.

  10. Robear Says:

    @ miner,
i would probably pimp whichever miami set someone else brought up first. i can’t think of any complaints. my personal love of the 30th stems completely from the fact that i decided not to leave at all during the sets to check the ww booth. plus, i was behind the stage with the green crew which is a blast. after having to open the ‘Mock Show’ at 9 a.m. that morning, there was no way i was missing any music 🙂

i even enjoyed the heck out of the 28th. i knew they were running late and having sound issues going in. i was running late and having mental issues, so i felt in tune.

which res, @ phamily b? you’re in az, right? i grow a large garden with my neighbors, and we give the over flow to the local elders. it’s the least i can do.

  11. halcyon Says:

    Happy BDay Miner….

Robear….got your email…will write you back later on from work

  12. kayatosh Says:

@silly: no worries, mate. i’m 35+ and a former litigator.

  13. kayatosh Says:

“i grow a large garden with my neighbors, and we give the over flow to the local elders. it’s the least i can do.”

  14. Robear Says:

silly, you’re the mack! you, bk, garretc, all the youngsters on the board give me cause for excitement in the future.

part of the reason i keep bringing up the waterwheel around here. the influx of new and old energy through this board has been amazing.

  15. kayatosh Says:

Mike’s LaLaLa is a super tight, groovy tune. one for phish maybe? in my dreams.

  16. kayatosh Says:

@silly: and one more thing, follow your heart, make your own decisions, and certainly don’t listen to some faceless dude on a phish message board. : )

  17. kayatosh Says:

among the things i’m grateful for: mike’s falsetto.

  18. SillyWilly Says:

    Thanks, Robear and Kayatosh.

Robear, you work directly against the stereotypical phish fan who portrays the “headier than thou” attitude. By working to get younger people involved you help us feel included. It’s awesome. and thanks for your welcoming attitude.

@Kayatosh, thanks for your insight. One thing they don’t teach enough in law school is how to approach being a lawyer. They teach us all the reading, writing, and analytical skills, but they fail to show us how to manage our life as an attorney. Maybe its not what a law school is supposed to do or even can do…

    so thank you.

  19. SillyWilly Says:

    If Villanova loses Im toast.

  20. kayatosh Says:

@silly: you’ll be fine. you have wisdom. practice non-violence towards yourself.

3/13/2009 mike’s band does cities. really excellent. more true to the heads sound and pace than phish’s take. scott m. nails it.

  21. gary Says:

forget all that crap Silly, come on over & get baned with me.

  22. kayatosh Says:

    that should be 3/13/2010.

  23. kayatosh Says:

right on, gary. help a brother out.

  24. SillyWilly Says:

Gary: Give me a few hours to get a little more studying done and I’ll be right over.

Im not sure we can bane 3 times yesterday like we did yesterday.

  25. Phamily Berzerker Says:

Robear, Salt River Pima. I live in Scottsdale and literally 500 yard east of me is the res. The casino resort is a little further east and they are buildin a new spring training facility for the DBack and Rockies a short bike ride away.

You gotta go into the res deep to get to res dog territory. At least from my place you do.
