singing prayers to Jah over the planes as they lifted off, man – hands in the air, spirits lifted

I swear that is one of the most beautiful things I know

“know peeps who have taken hundreds of doses (which I consider to be the greatest sacrament we have) and still haven’t figured out how to not be dicks, the most basic shit about life”

exactly. I just think its not going to change you by itself, you need guidance.

    I’m OUT

  4. Mr. Completely Says:

    not everyone needs guidance

all some people need is the herb itself

    some rise, some fall

bane does interesting things to me. i get foggy and slow with typical actions/decision-making, but then i have these highly insightful and revelatory thoughts…which come from a state of mental/spiritual/psychological purity and clarity that i have a hard time achieving in sobriety. i’m a little ADD/OCD/restless, so i think that’s why i have a hard time getting to those ideal places naturally. well, i don’t mean “naturally” since bane is exactly that…

  6. kenny powers Says:

but what i mean is that when the bane experience is working for me, i see past all the clutter and the bullshit and can prioritize things better…i come up with those “now why did i never think of that before?” ideas and i’m not conerned with the trivial shit i usually obsess about. i don’t bane up often and don’t have a great tolerance for quantity (two puffs on Tuesday morning at 10:00 and i was still fairly irie at 4:00), but i find it very rewarding when done once a while…

Californian’s are so depressed about the future of the economy,

that we can’t roll out of bed to hit the bong.

  8. voopa Says:

Of course you all know why it’s illegal in the first place, right?

  9. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

    well, hello, Burble, my friend.
    it’s been too long.
let’s make sure we get together again this fall at the latest.
    same place work for you?
    good, me too.

anyone know why my old firewire cord (shipped with early iPods) will charge my iPhone (both via the wall and via the computer) but doesn’t “connect” with iTunes?

You guys ever seen that 420 Family Guy episode where Carter “William Randolph Hursts” Peter and makes him create that Nazi anti-doping video?

    That shit is gold

  13. gratefulcub Says:

Don’t forget that part of the reason it is STILL illegal is that the pharmaceutical lobby is a bit larger than the legalization lobby.

The reefer madness/prop 8 is why I am skeptical of it’s passage in California this year. Cali polled positively about gay marriage a year before the ballot, but after a year of campaigns out of Utah and Maggie Gallagher, enough people were scared to death of the raving mad gay mobs marrying dogs and turtles that it lost. The Christian Coalition and their ilk are fundraising and preparing their campaign to ‘Save the Children from Reefer Madness’ as we speak.

Off year election ups the Senior portion of the vote, healthcare has the crazies in a tizzy…… I just have my doubts that something as logical as legalization will work this year.

plus, stoners can fuck up any opportunity that requires organization and effort

@kenny – yeah man, herb is for inspiration, then you gotta actually do the work

  15. llamalee Says:

mr. c, enjoyed reading your opinion today. i’ve never heard anyone with a similar view on the matter and reading the way you described it, i might have to agree with you

Stopped by my parents’ house today to check in on them, Mom was wearing the Summer Tour 03 shirt I got her at IT. Always makes me smile to see her wear it

Listened to the 12/30 Corrina, What’s the Use, and Tela on the way to work. Beautiful

I forget how HEAVY WTU can be, and how much Trey can shred the end of Tela. Good stuff

  19. Mr. Completely Says:

it’s fun to be able to talk about it a little

those who are in it, can’t really say shit, that’s one way to know who’s who – them that talk, aren’t doin’ it.

I’m just a civilian now and have been for a long time. But I’m trying to speak up for the ones I see as my people.

haven’t committed a “revolutionary act” in quite a long time…just another smoker now.

  20. neemor Says:

    “OK, this is getting old…”

When this occurs, I turn to the person…..slowly…….and scream as quietly as possible while acting like I’m ripping my hair out:

    “Find another band.”

    No I don’t.
    But I want to.

Another angle about weed: people who use Marijuana as a religious sacrament and are denied to the right to use despite the First Amendment right to freedom of religion. I recall a case in which some dude was getting busted, he sited that it was a part of his religion, and he was a registered member of “the congress of ganga” or something, which had 10,000+ members. The judge said that his “beliefs” didn’t amount to a “religion”. Who judges what is or is not a religion?

  23. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

so what will be the spin that the pro-legalization crowd will use to combat all of the negative attack ads that are sure to come out on this? yeah, there’s the income for the state it will generate, but how will they overcome the “reefer madness” stupidity?

  24. kenny powers Says:

yeah, i think she was just there to hear Fee. not bashing the song either…just sayin’.

Scottsdale Unified School District. If AZ does not pass the one cent tax increase there will be no more PE, Art or Music, no Bands, athletic fees will go up $0 with no family max, no after school programs, no school nurses, No real librarians and other random aspects that make us even more greatly challenged on the education front.
