anyway if you have still had no luck by Saturday hit me up at digs5446 @ gmail dot com.

(btw – why do people not spell out their emails here? is it out of fear of spam? i’ve been following suit but not quite sure why)

Whats happening everyone? Checking in from a super relaxing trip to San Diego.

Where are you staying? I spent basically the last 6 years of my life in San Diego, I lived in PB right by La Jolla

    Finest city in America

spambots are always watching the intrawebs. best practice is to not give them your full email addy if you can avoid it.

  6. BabyBigPerm Says:

Thanks Kenny. Spam is the reason. That would be great. I will try to make it work, but if you up it shoot me an email

@Marco, my brother Matt has spent the last six years of his life in PB, last year he moved north of La Jolla, can’t think of the town right now.

@Marshall, if they do an east coast festival Festival 10 on 10/10/10 would be appropriate.

  8. marcoesq Says:

    Nice, jdub

I’m back on the east coast now but I love San Diego, just went back again last October. Most beautiful place in the US, IMO

Does your brother surf? If so, I’ve probably run into him at Blacks beach or somewhere in the vicinity

  9. SillyWilly Says:

Aren’t we only on the 9th festival, though?…or am I missing it?

or would it be Phishy to skip a festival number for fun?

    or was 8 arbitrary

    Owego gets forgotten

  11. Marshall Says:

I guess Telluride can’t be FIX (F9) – it’s just a twofer. But they could pull off an end of summer festi in the NE. Never too late.

  13. angryjoggerz Says:

Silly, you missed 9, it was awesome.

  14. Marshall Says:

    FI – Clifford Ball
    FII – The Great Went
    FIII – Lemonwheel
    FIV – Camp Oswego
    FV – Big Cypress
    FVI – IT!
    FVII – Coventry
    F8 – Festival 8
    FIX – tbd
    FX – 10.10.10

  15. jdub Says:

@Marco, he attempts to surf. We go to Black’s beach when I visit. Have caught the most beautiful sunset there, setting over the waves speckled with evening surfers. He love’s it, people are super chill and the weather is obviously great. Maybe it’s my jealousy but I’m a four seasons guy, all that sun and 80 degree weather makes you soft. Atleast that’s what I tell myself in the winter and early spring.

  16. Marshall Says:

Although, Oswego was a little bit different – it was in between tour stops – not a tour ender. And, it didn’t have an official festival name at the time.

  17. lastwaltzer Says:

@silly I wouldn’t be suprised to hear they skip doing a festival over the summer and call the October festival, festival 10 as a joke. Kind of like how there is only a Traveling Wilburys Vol.1 and Vol. III

It doesn’t make sense to me that they would wait to announce a late august festival only to have another two months later, but what do i know.

  18. halcyon Says:

    Marco Esq…

We are just outside of Universtiy Heights in North Park. Not too far from anything. We were in La Jolla on Monday, and are heading to Del Mar tonite for dinner and drinks. I have spent a lot of time in PB, Mission Beach (lived on the ocean for a few months with friends), and in the Hillcrest / University Heights / North Park area. Been visiting here for years and every year I always wonder why is it that I have not moved here yet. Great town.

  19. jdub Says:

If they do an east coast festie prior to Indio on 10/10/10 that would make it #10.

  20. lastwaltzer Says:

    angry joggerz has the idea

  21. SillyWilly Says:

f’in lawschools got me so shut away in my books that i missed a whole festival?

  22. SillyWilly Says:

Did you like the Chieftains? or was it too folk Mexican?

  23. marcoesq Says:

I hear ya man, I’m an east coast/4 season guy myself. I used to actually get super excited when it would rain since we basically went from March-October without any

I would actually pray for cloudy days sometimes since it’s like the weather version of groundhog day out there

Awesome man, N Park is a perfect place to stay, close to everything. I love it when ever they have a MNF game, Al Michaels (now Tirico/jaws/gruden) always say “why do we not live here?

Sounds like you know whats up, make sure to grab some Wahoos! fish tacos for me 🙂

  24. angryjoggerz Says:

It was awesome, they played Gamehedge backwards, then backwards down the number line forwards and then a sick Telalope.

  25. lastwaltzer Says:

@silly although I’m Irish I have never looked into Celtic music. On the other hand latin music is among my favorite. The mix was really interesting. That being said I went into it with expectations that weren’t met. When you mentioned Liam Nesson as a narrator I though the story line was going to be more prevalent. With more then one narration track, the only story telling is really in that track and “sands of mexico”. I really enjoyed the whole album I was just waiting for something that wasn’t coming.

I’ll defeintley being going back to it with fresh ears and I’ll let you know what I really think, that being said I did enjoy it. So THANKS!
