    21. Phish always wins

Yeah that one’s pretty cliche, but it was worth a shot right?

  2. Mitch Says:

They are freaking nailing it on the jukebox. Woo. That’s why these are live releases.

  3. Mitch Says:

If phish always wins isn’t on the shirt like bk suggested, I’m not buying one.

  4. Mitch Says:

Matter of fact, why isn’t that #1? Hasn’t huggiebear been saying that since 05??

  5. garretc Says:

Hey everybody! Don’t forget to file your taxes! The government will help pay for your summer tour!

  6. albert walker Says:

added Lou Reed Rock n Roll Animal to my mediafire

    very cool record

jammed out glam rock versions of VU songs with ripping twin guitar playing featuring members of Alice Cooper’s band

great versions of Sweet Jane, Heroin, and Rock n Roll

intro jam into Sweet Jane has some very Phish sounding moments

    great album

  7. Mr. Completely Says:

    superb feedback from sumodie

  8. Mr. Completely Says:

because “Phish Always Wins” is a green board slogan. When they hammer some poor website that had the bad judgment to put Phish in some kind of online voting poll, or blow up the Rolling Stone comment threads, that’s one of the signature lines.

I actually love it too, but it’s not a BB thing.

  9. Mr. Completely Says:

agree that the list came across as too rule-y

couldn’t put my finger on it but that’s it

    needs reframing as sumodie suggests

also agree with the one ‘fuck’ limit – make it count

  10. (Formally Known As) BrandonKayda Says:

    Sorry C

Didn’t know that. I just went off of the fact that a) Phish does always win and b) I’ve seen it on the site a whole lot. I really havent been on Green Board except to find concert downloads

Anyways, no biggie. Can’t wait to see how the shirt looks when all of this is finished

  11. Mr. Completely Says:

fwiw I think a Phish Always Wins shirt is a great idea

some kind of sports themed design or something

  12. Mr. Completely Says:

it’s a classic line, just didn’t originate here

    like hair is a bird

or the fact that many of our ‘rule’ type items could be boiled down to:

    “Don’t Be a Dick”

…but that’s a Wil Wheaton Dot Net thing.

  13. BingosBrother Says:

    “Pavs only please.”

  14. ChefBradford Says:

    Trey + NY Philharmonic + YEM = $$$

  15. Corey Says:

AHH, what happened? UK blew it tonight…
Guess I’ll have to just go with my memories of 96 and 98 for now.
I was hoping Lynaugh’s would be crazy tonight…now it’s just the usual crazy. Here’s looking forward to next year…That is, assuming they all don’t run to the pros.

Gonna go bleed a little blue…

  16. ThePigSong Says:

Chef – do you have a quality recording of that night I should know about?

  17. ChefBradford Says:

@Pig- no, buddy, I wish I did. I’m reading, wanted something chill for the background, randomly thought of this. I’m just streaming what phishows.com has, which sounds like the same recording Miner had last year after the actual show. Not very good, but better than nothing

Might be better in headphones, though

  18. ThePigSong Says:

alright, I’ve been hounding for something a little more crisp. I’m starting to surrender to what we’ve got (which I’m grateful for).

  19. ChefBradford Says:

I feel ya, man. The recording ain’t great, but it’s better than nothing, yeah?! Damn right! I’d completely forgotten about it, to be honest. I’m glad I remembered. I smiled all the way through that YEM. I’m doing…..TTE now. 🙂 I actually haven’t heard the Phish version in months, and haven’t heard the orchestral version ever. I barely recognize it, really. Looking forward to some of the other pieces when I have time

  20. ChefBradford Says:

No words for it…the Philharmonic Divided Sky is…almost ineffable

Gorgeous. Beautiful. Majestic. Playful. Grand. These words can not do it justice.

  21. garretc Says:

Hmm, guess the philharmonic stuff really oughta be on the to-do list, oughtn’t it?

    Awwwyeah, got to say “oughtn’t”!

  22. ChefBradford Says:

Oughtn’t….oughtn’t….it catches in the throat for some reason. Strange word, I guess, but useful.

I haven’t listened to the whole Philharmonic show (was streaming the TTE, complete with really long intro before what I know as TTE, paused it, tried to resume, re-started at the beginning–gave up on TTE)

what I’ve heard has been very enjoyable

now making my way through some fall 09 songs/jams that I haven’t had a chance to hit up before

need to go to bed, work again in the morning. Work is not good right now

  23. voidboy Says:

working my way through 11.2.98 right now… can’t wait to hear the surprise… love knowing Phish saw it coming… hard to believe they could keep themselves so composed.

  24. ChefBradford Says:

@void- I hate to say it, but other than a couple of scraps, I’ve only heard the DSOTM from 11/2/98. Received a copy of that chunk of that set years ago, one of the first live sets I heard by the band. Listened to it a couple nights ago for the first time in several years, it held up surprisingly well (mostly)

    I’m out

  25. Mr.Miner Says:

    1) Next show is always the best show

    2) It’s all about the music (so kindly SHUT UP)

    3) Never skip the ’skip’ show

    5) Stick with your spun-out buddy

    6) Never trust a w00k in a blazer

    7) Positivity is contagious

    8) Be kind, share the Kind

    9) Laser pointers are for losers

    10) (Insert Neemsbane joke or some other inside BB joke)

    11) Phriends don’t let phriends buy balloons

    12) Check your expectations at the door

I realize this isnt my project, and I have no idea if this i even intending to have the sites name on it (which is fine either way…probably)…but lets make sure not to make this cheeseball. Sharp wit people.

Nothing personal to anyone but…nothing with a “ph” period., Share the kind? not going on the shirt :), stick with your spun out buddy needs to be phrased in a way that will make you laugh…If you throw things…ixnay, laser pointers needs to be phrased as joke as well.

good start….lets work on the humor here folks…where’s the midget nitrous wook when you need her? 😉
