Carrying Friday’s focus into the weekend, here are two more complete shows from August ’93. Once I get the archive caught up (hopefully next week,) most of August, and much of July will be available for download in one place. Until then, enjoy a couple more from this phenomenal era.

    tough loss last night @cub

  2. joe Says:

everyone’s new favorite place to talk about blazer fashions, FaceWook

  3. Robear Says:

Love the MSU Spartans. (yes, alum)

Although they underachieve a bit during the regular season, they are the definition of the workingman’s team come tournament time.

dang cub, honeymoon on the rocks with Calipari?

  4. jdub Says:

So w00k Down has made an appearance, interesting. It seems like he has a good chance of running into his T-shirt.

SOAS, funny pre game convo; it probably was that innocent. The kid just wanted to make sure he got the job done.

As much as we joke on here about stuff, I think the shirt should pick fun at ourselves as much as everything else. Otherwise it could come off the wrong way to many people. So, positivity with some scene/self deprecating humor would be key.

Sticking by a spun friend idea:

When the walls are breathing and Mike napalms the arena, if your friend excuses himself while he steps inside a wormhole, do him a solid and make sure he comes out at the end.

A bit wordy. We could have Mr. Miner write some if he is into it.

  5. jdub Says:

I have fallen for ’93 Phish. Never explored it that much other than the occasional show. It seemed that they repeated a lot, which they did, but I just assumed the repeats were similar. Doesn’t seem to be the case.

  6. SplitOpenAndSparkle Says:

“it’s not an experience if you can’t bring someone along”

  7. Gavinsdad Says:

    ^true split open

  8. Robear Says:

    Nugs not drugs.

  9. Gavinsdad Says:

    We’ve got a SOAM and a SOAS and a wilson and a wilson8or

  10. SplitOpenAndSparkle Says:

That line always rings trye to me.
    I’ve never been to a show w/out a friend/family member…
half the fun of a show is exposing someone to this whole fantasy world that exists right under everyone’s nose, yet only a select few are privalaged enought to “get IT.”
It always makes me smile the hardest when the person i brought to the show walks out of the venue, and all they can think of is when they’re gonna be able to make it back to see the boys again.
    Pure Joy.

  11. SplitOpenAndSparkle Says:

My name is Randy (pensacola, FL) and have only recently gotten wise to the BB….I’ve been following the convos for a bit and just decided to join in the fun…..
I enjoy the community and the chat to help fill the void until the summer.

This wait for the lottery results is tuff, but everyone here makes it easy to tolerate…
Patience IS a virtue….i need some.

  12. sumodie Says:

If the above is the proposed title of the t-shirt, we may want to refocus some of our ‘top ten’ ideas to make them more BB-centric. Just a thought…

While my longer list is back on page 11, I’m going to pass and let someone else re-post an updated list. I don’t want to be pushing my thoughts too much.

Agreed that the list needs to be wittier!

  13. BabyBigPerm Says:

wouldn’t a “wook wearing a blazer” be a “blazed wook”? AND would said wook be trusted?

  14. beepaphone Says:

I think once Neemor, cub, and BTB chime in on this the humor circle will be complete and we will be ready to start drafting final versions.

  15. SplitOpenAndSparkle Says:

wooks are not to be trusted…blazed or otherwise….
unless on back, knocjed out, with wide eyes and pursed lips..
    ie. wook down

  16. pagesidehighschool Says:

What about the classic phish saying, “this one time on the BB”

  17. kayatosh Says:

when i was younger i was hard to hold
seemed like i was always going which ever way the wind would blow
now that travelin spirit calls me again
callin me back to where it all begins

travel out across the burnin sand
cross the ocean to some distant land
we’ll reach the end we’ll all be singin and we’ll all be friends
    back where it all begins
^^^^ these d. betts lyrics seem germane to the vibe here

  18. Corey Says:

    @Mr. Palmer

Yeah, Izzo and MSU have that tourney swagger too. Seem to show up for the tournament and generally play well.

I remember driving home to Lexington from Chattanooga, listening to MSU beat UK back about a decade or so ago. Sad, sad drive home…

I’ll just have to spend the rest of my day reflecting on 96 and 98…party in the bluegrass. Who’s with me? Anyone? @cub?

Time to start thinking about the next sport in calendar time and the Yanks v. Sox opening day.

Should be an exciting final set of games though…MState WV and the Butler folks. Kinda hope they do it.

It would turn the whole March Madness on its ear; truly finish it in madness…

  19. Corey Says:

    How about,

“PHiSH is better than your band. Discuss.”

Oh, wait, no PHiSH on the shirt…
Well, have that discussion anyway with someone you love.

  20. Corey Says:

“OUR band is better than your band.”

  21. Angryjoggerz Says:

This board has gotten me all worked up about Summer 2010, August 1993 and most of 1972.

  22. Robear Says:

anyone grab the 3/28/93 show from Humboldt State?

Listening now. Sweet soundboard. Has the soundcheck. ‘Wedge Jam’, ‘Dog Log’

    I’m seeding it.

    avail on bt.etree.org

  23. kayatosh Says:

    oh, yeah, robear. humboldt phish

  24. kayatosh Says:

    dog log — personal fav.

  25. Corey Says:
