Weekend Nuggets: New Year’s Run ’94

When thinking of New Year’s Run ’94, people generally think of two things – The Providence Bowie on the 29th and Tropical Hot Dog Night on the 31st. While the odd numbered nights may have stolen history’s spotlight, the 28th and 30th are two shows that routinely get glossed over. Philly’s “Mike’s Groove” and, more specifically New York’s “Tweezer,”nights brought some of the most engaging music of the run, while “Reba” and “Stash”provided first set highlights, respectively. Enjoy the weekend, and best of luck with the rest of the ticket chase.

Thanks Chef, I’m not looking forward to 20 hours driving solo.

Walnut Creek Pav’s still available (Love the idea of smaller venues, and going back in time, stuff like that just doesn’t happen)

not yet, but who knows? Nothing wrong with dreaming…

    re: McNabb
I guess the Skins weren’t too big on Colt McCoy. I thought for sure Colt would end up with the Skins at that 2nd rd pick. Or maybe Colt’s workout put him in the late 1st and Snyder got jumpy? Who knows.

McNabb is a great QB, imo. I hope he remains one for a few more years. If only, DeSean Jackson were part of the deal…

Still think everything is meaningless until they develop the O-Line.

With the Redskins luck as of late, the Eagles will probably grab McCoy with that pick and Colt will lead them to NFC supremacy for a dozen years.

Mr Miner- if it hasn’t already been, here’s a request that the 7/3/94 Reba be a JOTD (same show as a recent, fantastic Split you posted). Beautiful jam, with a big Somewhere Over The Rainbow jam from all the boys.

    Just a thought

^ you got it chef…this week sometime, unless I forget, so remind me 😉

  6. ChefBradford Says:

Whoa, talk about customer service! Cool. At your leisure and pleasure, Mr Miner. And even if I forget to remind you, I’m positive you’ll drop something at least as fulfilling!

As always, thank you, sir. Listening to that 7/3 Split now, actually.

    Cheers, sir
