Stash” 3.30.93 I

One of the first profoundly expansive versions of “Stash” helped lay the foundation for the explosive year of 1993.

Birds > If I Only Had a Brain > Caspian” 7.8.99 II

A gorgeous piece of improv from Virgina Beach; the band seamlessly slipped right into a Phishy take on The Scarecrow’s “If I Only Had a Brain.”

The Gorge

Split Open and Melt” 8.2.97 I

This fusing of “Split’s” menacing nature and the emerging, slowed-down textures of Summer ’97 put a spectacular cap on Phish’s first set ever played at The Gorge.

Tweezer > Lifeboy” 6.10.94 II

The first-ever Red Rocks “Tweezer”- a seriously dynamic and intense version strewn with Mind Left Body jam overtones.

Mike’s > Life On Mars? > Weekapaug” 11.15.95 II

"Mike's Song"

This multi-dimensional “Mike’s” from Tampa, Florida in Fall ’95, reminds us of the time when “Mike’s Grooves” were psychedelic events in the Phish universe, sparking fires in arenas across the land. And this “Weekapaug” ain’t too shabby either!

TIII – we are on the same wave link brother!

  2. jdub Says:

Don’t be fooled by any of it. Professional sports are all about money and power. It’s all relatively classless and in bad taste, tough to separate what form of power and greed are worse.

  3. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

whoa. either BTB and I are on the same wavelength or he responds really quickly. btw, love the addition to Mike’s Rig Diagram!

  4. [Not Tom] Marshall Says:

I thought there were Doors teases on SS&P? BTW, I haven’t listened to Stash yet.

  5. [Not Tom] Marshall Says:

    jinx again.

  6. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

    @auntie em
do you listen to the TTFF out of order? Sacrilege!!
also, there’s more than just Doors teases on SS&P

  7. [Not Tom] Marshall Says:

BTB & T3PO – twins separated at birth????

  8. [Not Tom] Marshall Says:

I haven’t listened to any of the TTFF yet. I go in order.

  9. [Not Tom] Marshall Says:

The doors is all I remember off hand. Need to spin that Germany show again.

  10. gratefulcub Says:

FWIW, I have nothing against Tiger. First, I just don’t care, and secondly, it is the epitomy of None of My F’ing Business. His interpersonal relationships are about as much of my concern as who one of you is sleeping with.

None of us should be judged by our family and friends based on the worst or best event of our lives, and NO ONE should be judged by a billion people this way.

    Just ramblin’

  11. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

another TTFF related thing (well, sort of):

am I the only one who sings altered lyrics from Lifeboy to their dog when it won’t behave?

…’cuse doooooooog never listens, to what I say!

  12. SillyWilly Says:

I listen to the TTFF out of order.

I never do anything in order. except age maybe.

  13. [Not Tom] Marshall Says:

If I was judged by my ass’n with all you you …. whew!

    Just kiddin’! ๐Ÿ™‚

  14. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

    @silly
Miner has said he puts them into a “set” order, with the intent that it flows together. Thankfully he hasn’t been adding in piss break songs… yet.

  15. gratefulcub Says:

No, but I do use alternate lullaby lyrics:

yoooooou better listen, to what I say,
You don’t get a refund, if you over pray.

Trying to drill that in early and often. Both parts.

  16. SillyWilly Says:

    I missed that TypeIII.

Thanks for telling me. I think what my problem is is I rarely have time to sit down and listen to the whole thing, so I pick one while Im making breakfast or something.

  17. marcoesq Says:

    This Stash is getting narsty

  18. jdub Says:

@BTB, that is a great Stones tease, yes the one from SS & P. It flows so smoothly back into the ending riffs of the song. Good stuff.

I am a bit of out order this morning, it started great and now I am battling the rain and my desire to do nothing.

  19. Little Buddy Says:

“I thought that Tigerโ€™s ressurection of his dead fathers voice for his own image repair and wallet was as low as it gets. I could care less about the other stuff. The guy is not normal (in a bad way). who does that?”

Yeah. I can see why some are offended (it doesn’t really bother me), but on the other hand, it’s fucking brilliant advertising. It’s all I’ve heard people talking about since it first ran. Those ad cooks at Nike know what they are doing. I guess I just don’t care enough to be offended, but I love watching that dude play golf.

My 2 year old pointed to the TV screen yesterday and said “Tiger.” We have never talked about Tiger. Ever. The media is on top of him so much that even my 2 yr old know his name and face, which I found interesting.

  20. pagesidehighschool Says:

@cub, word. tiger can do what ever he wants. i’m sure everyone here has had a dark moment that they thought at the time was a lots of fun. cough cough… coventry

  21. SillyWilly Says:

    @jdub

my life is basically one battle with my self over my desire to do nothing.

Sometimes I win, sometimes myself scores the victory.

  22. gratefulcub Says:

cough cough coventry. We must have had the same experience ๐Ÿ˜‰

  23. pagesidehighschool Says:

re: lullabies, i like to sing reba while im changing diapers… bag it, tag it, sell it to the diaper genie

  24. SillyWilly Says:

Usually myself pulls out the bane, and I’ve got no answer for the bane.

  25. marcoesq Says:

    @LB

Absolutely, that is some brilliant advertising. Because at the end of the day, we’re all sitting here talking about it which is the 1 main goal of advertising, to create a response

Whether for the good or bad, people know about it
