i dont know if this has been discussed BUT im about to drop some news–

Steve Lillywhite told my good friend directly that there is a full Phish concept album in the mix! Lillywhite initiated, he had the idea for the album, he called Trey and phish is down for it. he said he loves working with them because they literally can do everything and the hardest thing about working with them is that he has so many options since they play so much.

    but regardless CONCEPT ALBUM! woohoo!

  2. garretc Says:

Yeah, I listened to the Went LxL whilst lying in the dark after coming home from a party real late. Absolutely amazing version!

Haha, I almost hit the “submit comment” button, then realized I’d accidently typed “coking” instead of “coming”! That would have changed the meaning a bit!

  3. voopa Says:

    Amazing news PHW…hope it happens!

  4. verno329 Says:

@Miner it certainly was the perfect accompaniment to my beautiful morning. And the Birdsong is just gorgeous. And you said it best in your review of these shows.

    Terrapin>Disease. Yes, I just typed Terrapin>Disease. Wow!

(end of horrible paraphrasing of your review)

  5. halcyon Says:

Rift was a great concept album. Hopefully another one will develop as PHW mentioned.

Viola Lee to open the first night of that run = fire. Need to spin those three shows once more.

  7. DocGanz Says:

    Morning all!
Waking up slow this sunny Sunday morning. Hope everyone is well. Just spinned Buried Alive with horns from 5/4/94- great stuff. Now listening to Home by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros- great tune, and a reminder that I chose Summer Tour over Coachella this year due to limited funds. No regrets despite missing Sly Stone today…

  8. DocGanz Says:

Current issue of SPIN titled The 100 Moments that Rocked our World
Number 40- Phish’s Epic New Years (The jam band scene reaches critical mass with a seven hour gig in a Florida swamp)- with a write-up by Richard Gehr.

  9. garretc Says:

Nice @Doc! That issues sitting on my floor, waiting to be read! Might just skip to the phish write up when I get back…

  10. verno329 Says:
