  1. Dr. Pronoia Says:

I’d give my left nut for a Wisco brat right now

  2. SillyWilly Says:

you guys are right. there must be a reason i eat brats at least 3 times a week.

    @Dr. Pro

a red one or a white one from state street brats?

  3. Dr. Pronoia Says:

    ^ Two of each. Obviously

  4. SillyWilly Says:

with a pint of spotted cow.

  5. Dr. Pronoia Says:

    goddamn I miss spotted cow…

  6. Gavinsdad Says:

Damn I wish I was in your neck Silly. Just took the grill on it’s maiden spring 10 voyage (burgs and portobellos marinated in Soy Vey) but Ive never had a Wisco brat proper. Nor cheese curds.

  7. SillyWilly Says:

    @Gdad

you should come to Alpine Valley, if you’re not already. I’ll cook us some Wisconsin Brats and order some cheese curds and have some Spotted Cows.

  8. SillyWilly Says:

Dollar Spotted Cows Thursday afternoons at Vintage, Dr. Pro.

  9. cal Says:

Evening, BBers. Proud to say I had brats three nights last week. Once grilling season starts, it’s all about the sausages in our house. I’m partial to Hungarians, myself.

We are spoiled in many ways in Wisco. Do I love good beer because I live in Milwaukee, or do I live in Milwaukee…?

That Fukuoka show really is amazing. I love how we get each other going on classic shows here. It just never ends. I thought the end of Phish was going to allow me to finally get caught up…I guess that’s what my retirement years are for.

  10. SillyWilly Says:

Yeah, Cal, that show blew me away. I actually just got finished with the whole thing. I hadn’t finished earlier when I posted. There was a good long 2001 on there.

Wisconsin is my favorite state Ive ever lived in!

  11. ChefBradford Says:

I read a review of that Fukuoka show a number of years back, written by a phan

he dismissed the second set entirely, basically saying that it was just wanking, or urinating in our ears, choose your metaphor

    wtf?

  12. (Formally Known As) BrandonKayda Says:

Wow, Chef. That is a ridiculous statement. In my opinion, at least. Maybe that guy didn’t dig all of the space?

  13. ChefBradford Says:

I think he was more rooted in the mid-90s stuff, but I don’t remember.

  14. voopa Says:

I for one am not a big fan of the song > ambience > song kind of segue, but outside of that, the Fukuoka show is amazing!

  15. voopa Says:

And the ambient jams themselves are interesting too…I guess it’s better than 7 minutes of nothing between songs (listening to GD 4/27/71 right now, for example)…

  16. cal Says:

Hmmmm….no accounting for taste, I suppose, but I think it takes a stubborn devotion to early/mid 90s style to hate on Fukuoka.

  17. halcyon Says:

    Yo Cal

Did you have any problems with that Atoms for Peace that was upped last week on Demonoid? I am not a member of demonoid, and still was able to download the show. Used Trader’s Little Helper to convert so I can bring it in to Itunes, and after bringing it into Itunes, my Ipod would freeze up. I tried playing it in Foobar and the same thing happened. Atoms for Peace was bugged for me. Any thoughts?

  18. voopa Says:

Heh, I’m currently ripping James Brown’s Soul on Top…have The Payback in the queue to listen to next, and what do I hear from somewhere down the street? Sex Machine.

  19. (Formally Known As) BrandonKayda Says:

Listening to the 1990-09-19 Playin’ In The Band…incredible jam

    Thanks Robear!

  20. Lycanthropist Says:

    anyone still around?

  21. Lycanthropist Says:

oops forgot to hit refresh before my last post

    what up BK and Chef!

  22. ChefBradford Says:

    hey man

  23. cal Says:

halcyon–I haven’t even attempted to convert it or anything yet. I’ll give it a try tomorrow and let you know what I come up with.

  24. Lycanthropist Says:

    wanna listen to some 09..

any suggestions for a good show to listen to?

    Not Miami

  25. (Formally Known As) BrandonKayda Says:

Bonarroo Late set from leg 1 had some interesting bits in it

    Disease
    Stash
    KDF->Free

    8-1 is simply the heat.

    Let’s do 8-1
