  2. bouncin fan Says:

    Don’t know who this Aw is that keeps pretending to be me but he can take his high horse cooler than though 2.0 sucks attitude and Fuck off

    My 2.0c

  3. SillyWilly Says:

    yeah, bouncin’, ’95 was easily the shitiest year in phishtory.

    I don’t know why AW keeps slangin’ those 95 Bowies and Jims.

    those are schwag compared to 2.0

    So what you are suggesting is a more Ghandi-like approach to stopping terrorism? Helping the people is a good idea but how will we maintain that so that violence does not break out again? How can we stop hate?

    There is always the arguement from the other side that if we do not react with violence ourselves than they will attack again.

    I would think that the only way to stop terrorism is to help get them out of poverty and into a better life, try to kill the problem with kindness.

    It is a very tricky problem though, I mean that has been going on in the middle east for a very long time now, and it is definitely hard to change an entire nation’s philosophy without, in some way, becoming imperialistic.

  5. (Formally Known As) BrandonKayda Says:

    Maybe I am mis-interpreting it, but overall I don’t think that violence is the way to stop terrorism. Violence only promotes violence

    I know I’ve been away for a few days but now I’m confused as hell. Whichever one you are D, glad you are back.

  7. Phunny Gal Says:

    This may be my first time posting here, but thought I’d share this. Interesting write-up…

    @NTM

    I think there’s a bit of an It’s Ice issue going on with bouncin’ versus AW.

  9. Robear Says:

    silly, 11/23/97 is a great one. don’t sleep on the ‘Theme’- best one i can think of.

    the whole first set sounds like a liquid centrifuge. the ‘gin’ involves communication with the mothership.

  10. SillyWilly Says:

    @BK

    It is tough, and it might take a long time.

    I think my position is best summed up with the metaphor: You don’t stop hate, you let it fizzle out.

    of course, we might have gone too far in Iraq and Afghanistan. Some of those people might hate for generations.

  11. SillyWilly Says:

    @Robear

    heading to a coffee shop to get my study on. Ill spin in it from there.

  12. SillyWilly Says:

    or just spin it.

  13. Robear Says:

    walk softly and carry a big nug.

  14. (Formally Known As) BrandonKayda Says:

    Silly –

    Thanks for the Philosophy convo. these past couple days. Enjoyed the talk.

    11.23.97 is a monster. Look out for the Bathtub Gin (30mins!!!)->Disease->Low Rider->Disease second set. A mindnumbing hour of music. They definitely connect with the Mothership during that Gin

  15. SillyWilly Says:

    nevermind, Im gonna chill at home for bit.

    I dig My Soul as an opener.

  16. [Not Tom] Marshall Says:

    My Soul opened UIC’98 w/ fatty Bag>Ghost.

  17. SillyWilly Says:

    No problem, BK.

    I love talking about it.

    Its really cool that youre so interested. Like I’ve said: Treat my convo as simply one opinion that might help you find something that makes thing clearer for you.

    You’ve got so much enthusiasm for ideas that Im excited about how much you can learn in the next few years.

    Eat up books. Eat up music. Fill your head with as much beauty and wisdom as you can stand.

    Hell, I don’t even know if I can give you advice. Im only 7 or 8 years older than you!

    we’re all just kids!

  18. SillyWilly Says:

    @NTM

    First, final is in Con Law tomorrow.

    Im feeling good. Have been locking myself in coffee shops and my bedroom studying.

    feeling the rush.

  19. [Not Tom] Marshall Says:

    Feed off it Silly. Good luck.

  20. SillyWilly Says:

    y’all are right.

    The Theme is pretty nice.

  21. Robear Says:

    silly, right behind you. just started ‘my soul’

    haven’t even listened to this show on the home stereo yet. yum

  22. voopa Says:

    “the whole first set sounds like a liquid centrifuge.”

    This. Great, great show. Perhaps the peak era of 1.0.

    Off to photo Mrs. v’s HS marching band at the Stockton Cinco de Mayo parade. Should be a good crowd this year, considering the political climate (and the weather – high of 80 today). And it’s Cesar Chavez High School, which is particularly appreciated at this parade. Plus, one of her grads came back and arranged a bunch of banda tunes for the marching band. Should be fun!

    It’s also Mrs v’s birthday, so I stocked the home with margarita supplies for after. Arriba!

  23. SillyWilly Says:

    I’d love Black-Eyed Katy to come back as well.

  24. SillyWilly Says:

    I could wait for you at Katy, robear?

  25. Robear Says:

    no worries silly, about to get lost in this ‘theme’ then gotta’ get my butt on the kubota.
