These shows were part of an extensive west coast run that concluded Fall ’96. (This Portland show may have been posted once, but now it will be in the permanent archives as well.)

nicing up the the dance Selector! lone ranger! bless up!

  2. SillyWilly Says:

yo, Selector was that now playing thing always on there?

If it was how did I miss that!?

  3. lycanthropist Says:

    Well @silly

it happens more with TSU than Chance Fisher, just because Chance Fisher has more defined songs and such.

Of course the 3-4-10 CF show is a good example

and the 9-24-09 TSU is a good example

  4. gavinsdad Says:

@Selector: my cousin jay…dread inna santa cruz…is listening too…big up the interwebz.

Damn should’ve checked the comments! would have definitely given a big up to the BB massive!

    I’ll get you next break.

Isn’t that album cover fantastic! 100 Worst my ass…

  7. SillyWilly Says:

    Nice, Lycan

I was totally thinking that on the CF 3-4-10. that was a great show.

Im trying to get a better feel for whether my intuitions are correct. I always wish I had better thoughts to give you other than “Man, thats sounded great!”

  8. lycanthropist Says:

    well Silly

I can say that I love to hear about the emotions music suggests.

Don’t worry about what it means to me so much, I am more interested in what it instills in you.

  9. SillyWilly Says:

Yeah, they must have picked that because they figured it’d get a rise, or they were trying to show their diversity.

  10. lycanthropist Says:

a prime example of our collective egos being stripped is the open ended jam at the end of otherwise lackluster show.

check out <a href="http://www.archive.org/details/ChanceFisherZorbasGreekTavernStarkvilleMs04.24.2010"4.24.10 and the jam at the end of it.

  11. SillyWilly Says:

well, I totally dig it, both the CF and the TSU.

  12. lycanthropist Says:

    damn html tag fail.

  13. SillyWilly Says:

    this song is awesome, Selector.

I feel high just listening to it.

  14. SillyWilly Says:

    thanks for the link, Lycan!

  15. lycanthropist Says:

wishin on i was on my own pc so i could jump in on the Selector Radio

  16. SillyWilly Says:

I can totally hear what you’re talking about Lycan.

You can hear where you guys start to come together about 2:20 when you drop a little phrase, by 2:50 it seems like everyone is just about on board, and then you run with it through the 4th minute (3:00 and beyond)

then you play it out until you all find something new.

  17. SillyWilly Says:

The first you means YOU, Lycan. It seems like the main theme of the more defined melody is introduced from the keys.

Your guitarist seems to push it somewhere else in 5th minute….then you switch up the style or tone (im not sure what the term is) on the keyboard and again switch the direction around 6:00.

  18. SillyWilly Says:

damn. I hate to do this but I gotta go to bed.

    early morning tomorrow.

    Have a good night, everyone!

would love to pick up a conversation like this again sometime, Lycan.

  19. garretc Says:

Hmmm, I don’t mean to be glib about a very serious issue, but a news article on the drug conflicts down in JA has brought something confusing to my attention…

The drug lord the police are after is named Christopher “Dudus” Coke. My question is, if you’re a drug lord and your last name is “Coke”, why do you need a nickname?

Annnnnd, that concludes this installment of a brief lighthearted take on a depressing issue…

  20. lycanthropist Says:

its funny because we were so COMPLETELY self conscious the whole rest of the show. there was very few people there and we were so bummed by the lack of interest.

by the time we got to the end of the show we shed all our concerns and just played with out and pre conceived notions.

as a result we played a very fun and enganing improv

  21. lycanthropist Says:

    im off to bed too

we will catch up soon im sure

  22. AintNoTele Says:

Whats up crew, i havent been around in a long time because of a computer crash but a just picked up a new whip and im back in bizznass!!!

  23. AintNoTele Says:

I’m super psyched to see this damn site again…sight unseen I’ve been missing it

  24. garretc Says:

Well, I finally jumped on the Lost bandwagon…

    Season 1, Episode 1: completed.

    Curiosity: piqued

  25. AintNoTele Says:
