BK…some of the best ever. IMO

  2. Mr.Palmer Says:

What’s the deal w the balcony @ SPAC? I’ve been able to upgrade to the balcony from the lawn for both nights. I’ve heard good things. Anyone been there? Robear? Are there drinks and restrooms up there or do you have to fight to get to the back of the lawn? I’m getting pumped!

  3. SillyWilly Says:

    @AW

If you’re out there, I think I’ve got the wrong email address for you. I just tried to email you and I got a delivery failure.

    mine is:

  4. butter Says:

no drinks in the balc at spac…gotta fight it up to top of the lawn

but people seem to dig the balc

  5. butter Says:

i’m officially warmed up for Phish tour after the fest this weekend

the wrecking crew was selling shirts this weekend of Jer shitting out a lightning bolt on a fish,

friends bought one of my Phish tour buddies one, he wants to burn it or use it to mop the floor

  6. sumodie Says:

Getting alcohol at SPAC is a pain for all

Balcony, however, is great, IMO. Will be there again this go round. Great sight lines, sound (as long as not too far side to side as anywhere)

Don’t recall bathrooms being up there

  7. BrandonKayda Says:

Yeah Miner, so ridiculously creative, even more so than some of 1997-98 IMO.

I too, am feeling the pre-tour buzz.

I’m seeing Phish on a TWO-NIGHT run in less than a month. Hell yes

  8. sumodie Says:

@butter: wow, your blissed out vibe is coming thru loud n clear. thanks for filling us in

  9. BrandonKayda Says:

Those two Furthur shows look incredible.

    WOW

  10. Mr.Palmer Says:

Thanks for the info re:SPAC Sumo. Good to hear you’ll be up there too. Saturday i’ll be in sec 19 with the wife and Sunday sec 15 – solo. We’ll def. hook up.

  11. Mr.Palmer Says:

Not too concerned about the drinks. The bathrooms could be a pain though.

  12. gavinsdad Says:

    @butter – don’t rub it in 😉

everyone else: i’d gotten my turntable set up and friday afternoon went to this amazing little “record store” in Philly called Tequila Sunrise…basically the uber nerd record hunter shop. picked up some cheap classic rock on vinyl…one pick was Traffic’s “where the eagle flies” (1974) which to be totally honest, i’d never even heard of, and i’ve listened to what i thought was alot of Traffic. anyway…i have one of those usb turntables but if you know anything about me, it’s gonna be a year before i get to ripping the vinyl. for now…search around for that…something about Winwood always get’s me in my soul…his voice is one of my underrated faves…i forget about him, then when i hear him again i just love it.

    see yas…GO FLYERS!!

  13. Jamie Sweet Says:

Was just listening to the Boogie-Lope from NYE 2009 and realized that right after the lyriccs when Mike is killing it, he ALSO throws in a ‘Boogie-Boogie-Hedgehog’ teaee.

Not sure what ‘Boogie-Boogie Hedgehog’ is?

I’m looking forward to 2010 in a big way. I think we’ll see some unprecedented onstage vibosity in the coming months.

  14. Stupendous a.k.a The Beasel Says:

    G diddy
thats one of my fav traffic records, great find
always thought the boys coould cover that for halloween
    ‘graveyard people’ great tune
also check out low spark of the high heeled boys
and on the road which is live…

  15. gus Says:

BK they were…… this weekend was a perspective changing experience

  18. butter Says:

vid of the weekend is sick Miner

  19. SillyWilly Says:

Is anyone watching this River Monsters show on Animal Planet?

    fascinating.

A bull shark was found 1750 miles up the Mississippi River in Alton, IL in 1937. Bull Sharks responsible for more human deaths than any other shark.

Think about that next time you’re boating.

  20. SillyWilly Says:

Does Phish have any songs about sharks?

I feel like they should add a shark song to the animal catalog.

Wait…Does Floyd die from sharks in Fee?

  21. SillyWilly Says:

Drinking Leinenkugel’s original over here in Madison.

I feel like Leinenkugel’s original is going to become the hipsters PBR. PBR is the hipster budweiser, but hipsters always strive to outdo themselves.

  22. Mr.Palmer Says:

llfa- i’ve been watching that show a little bit the last two nights. Have you seen the Demon Fish episode yet? i think that one’s on at 10pm est tonight. Scariest looking thing i’ve ever seen.

  23. SillyWilly Says:

    No. not yet, Mr. P.

I saw him catch a 400 pound freshwater sting ray in Thailand.

He caught it, and this scientist was taking venom sample, when the stingray just birthed two baby rays.

Just out of pure nerves they said, dropped two babies.

  24. Mr.Palmer Says:

I saw that one last night Silly. You gotta see the Demon Fish. Like something out of a horror movie.

  25. lastwaltzer Says:

with a name like demon fish……..
