The Windy City Awaits

I had no time for writing yesterday as I had to tie up loose ends at home and pack for the next few weeks. Until Chicago…

    speaking of the Greeks

looks like flights are not getting cheaper OR spendier so I’m’a book it now

frequent fliers – I’m getting the same rates on expedia and travelocity

is there reason to prefer one to the other or should I dig into the actual airline sites? or some other 3rd party service?

  2. Mr. Completely Says:

can you tell my wife handles the business side of our family? LOL

  3. Mr. Completely Says:

(see my question at the bottom of page 40 re: flights)

    ====

also: there is construction going on on the floor below us; someone is using a serious power tool of some kind and it sounds like a robot getting off on one of those big Hitachi magic wand vibrators

BRRRRRRRR-RRRRRRR-RRRRRRRRRR with a heavy bass note

  4. angryjoggerz Says:

Mr. C: its all about the miles for me. It is worth it to fly on the same airline a lot if you can, because it means free travel later. I have taken my wife to Hawaii, Sweden and Paris all on comp miles. I fly to Asia a lot, so those miles rack up.

  5. Robear Says:

C, did you check Kayak.com for flights?

they search a bunch of sites, then let you go there to book. sometimes to the airline site, which is preferable, if you ever have to make changes.

  6. butter Says:

Mr. C – expedia dicked me over before not notifying me of a flight change

    travelocity is batting 1000, so i prefer them…..my .02$

  7. Mr. Completely Says:

we basically get our miles through the credit card and usually just take the cheapest/most convenient flights, which we have to do cause PDX has direct connections to basically nowhere

  8. neemor Says:

    T-Minus 2:49 minutes until lift-off

  9. Mr. Completely Says:

    thx for the input

  10. Mr.Palmer Says:

    Who’s comin’ with me?

  12. neemor Says:

    Hello.
    Life is good.
    Smilin’ from ear to ear…

  13. BrandonKayda Says:

Man, with tour coming up tomorrow this Phish fast is getting tougher and tougher. My goal is to not listen to ANY Phish until my first shows at MPP -that way it will make my two-night run that much richer.

It’ll be worth it in the end though 🙂

  14. Mr. Completely Says:

    you headin out tonight Neems?

    safe travels brother!

  15. KWL Says:

    my go to is kayak

searches all those secondary sites (expedia, orbitz, etc) in addition to airline sites directly

most of the time i search kayak first, then maybe one or two others, and 99 times out of 100 end up going straight to the airline site to book–always cheaper than expedia (or whatever) b/c of tacked on booking fees from those sites

  16. neemor Says:

Palmer, I’m coming crashing into you with vibes from this first leg right into the SPAC Starship
    Explosive, no doubt…

  17. Mr. Completely Says:

hahaha BK I have been on the no-phish diet (mostly) until tour starts – as of tomorrow I’m getting back on the train

  18. KWL Says:

neemor, looking forward to giving you a big bear hug at BTB’s. safe travels & take care of the mangos

  19. neemor Says:

    Thanks Mr. C.
    Miss you guys.

Yup, picking up Mango and his missus @ 1:30 am Friday>BTB Fest ’10.

  20. butter Says:

  21. Robear Says:
