The Windy City Awaits
I had no time for writing yesterday as I had to tie up loose ends at home and pack for the next few weeks. Until Chicago…

love reading the pre-tour planning and jitters. we’re doing the same out here.
@robear
I still owe you that gear info. I’m on a plane to Wisco tomorrow so that’ll give me the time I need to get er done.
Mr C – You’re seeing The Greek shows this summer? That’s great man, I hope you have a great time considering you only hit Gorge last year. Greek will be HUGE.

Let’s go.
Just checking out my hotel in Saratoga. Only 1.3 miles from venue. No driving! Sweet.
nice checklist Silly, safe travels
Greek is bound to blow up, Mr. C is there , boys will shred
Oh, typeIII, your wisco trip is this weekend?
bummer.
is it just a quick weekend? or can I buy you and yours a beer Sunday night or something?
yeah BK
with all our obligations and whatnot about one run a year is all that’s realistic unless they come right through our backyard.
I went into this summer figuring I’d try to pick one set of shows to hit when the dates came out Greeks were the obvious choice for many reasons, including west coastness, personal show history there, and general awesomeness.
and a kind soul from the BB helped make it happen…Robear is helping with the logistics too, so thanks for that as well brother Bear
thanks, butter
am I all caught up on reading? will you be there tomorrow and saturday?
Love Robbins. Read all his books.
Saw Dweezil Zappa two nights ago. Any Zappa fans must check him out. He is making his pappa proud.
Would love to be there for leg 1 of tour, but alas life gets in the way and I will be doing the couch tour. Hoping for a AC/DC opener. That would be a great way to start a tour.
yes sir Willy , waiting out a flight delay on my way to Chi currently
Well I hope you have a great time @Mr C
Silly you’re catching Chicago-Hershey right? Have fun man. Just got done with all my classes today, so summer is officially ON!
@silly
don’t forget your raincoat. and sunglasses. good list though. I’d check for those tickets about five more times before leaving.
@Palmer
what hotel in ‘Toga? you’re not at the Dowentowner right?
btw, any of you going to SPAC really should spend one of the days at the races. it is a huge party and a ton of fun. that is a really fun way to spend a hallucinogenic afternoon. lots of pretty ladies all gussied up taboot taboot.
also for the first time in many moons I will be rolling solo
I mean no wife and kid
will be kicking it with BB peeps and other friends but also means I get to spend some show time doing it my old school way which is to say alone
which is fucking awesome
I love my family but I also really like when it’s just me and I have the freedom to come and go as I please
Fee4zy – Zappa Plays Zappa is incredible.
TIII- Yes the Downtowner is the spot. No races yet in Saratoga. schedule starts up in July . 🙁
Waiting in the sky lounge no less, Butter. How many skymiles do you rack up per tour? Surely enough to get you in the business lounge with a couple of free cocktails before each flight.
also with the kid in tow I wasn’t able to swim in the puddles.
that will not be the case this time, if I can…
hm.
@ Mr. C – which shows are you catching?
No hubby and kids was wonderful at Indio. I’m so glad I went even though it pissed my hubby off. I LOVED not having to worry about anyone except myself.
@silly
quick weekend. flying back home sunday afternoon so I’ll have to take a rain check on that.
@BK
unfortunately no Hershey for me…gotta save the vacation days for Deer Creek.
even though I might be making a mistake.
Thanks for the well wishes, man
@TypeIII
I might have to go wisconsin poncho style: cut a garbage bag out.
Hey BBer’s… whew… busy week… one more day and it’s all worth it!
yeah, too bad it had to work out like that Type III.
right, forgot the races haven’t started yet. well, next year, I guess. it was fun last year…
No such thing as a mistake when you are heading to Deer Creek. They never disappoint.
