  1. Sneaking Allie Through the Alley Says:

@KWL You could show The World According to least I’m pretty sure that’s the one I had to watch for class. Talks about Monsanto’s monopoly on RoundUp ready seeds and how it effected farmers/their farms.

  2. Lycanthropist Says:

    good morning BB

everybody getting pumped up for tonight?

  3. Matso Says:

    Erin Brockovitch

  4. KWL Says:

thanks jdub–unfortunately i don’t think i can stand gore for more than a few minutes

thanks mr fergie, i have been meaning to check that out & will probably show parts of it…

sneakin’, we’re actually talking about all that roundup ready crap today! i’ll check that one out, maybe i can show a clip later this week…

  5. lastwaltzer Says:

    show Koyaanisqatsi

you could give a lecture on the fake green energy our president keeps talking about (clean coal/nuclear power)

  6. lastwaltzer Says:

    @Sneaking allie,

didn’t know anyone made a doc about Monsantos thanks for putting it on my radar.

KWL, you could show that and then talk about these new weeds sprouting up that are round up resistant. Artificial selection is a bitch

  7. jdub Says:

@mrfergie, no Thursday meetups that I know of. We won’t be getting in until right before show time.

  8. lastwaltzer Says:

I second When The Leeves Broke, a must see. But then again I love almost anything Spike touches. And it looks like your already on those roundup weeds.

  9. mrfergie Says:

@KWL – Also try King Corn – doc on why corn is the dominant crop in this country…

@jdub – thanks, I’ll only be able to make thursday, so hopefully I’ll run into some of you fine folks…

  10. SOAM Says:

The entire green movement is a myth-90 percent of products or services that claim to be environment friendly/green or claim to manufacture products that are made up of a certain percentage of recycled materials are both blatant exaggerations/lies-thus the term-Greenwashing.

The green movement was forecast as an economical booster/savior but it’s basically more of the same-lots of talk-little productive action and lots of mother fuckin bullshit in between.

    Punch>Moma (Hartford set 1 opens night 1)

  11. Kayatosh Says:

Hi, all. Hey, lutherjustice. Great meeting you at Hershey.

  12. lastwaltzer Says:

Listening to the second set of Hershey, I liked the jam out of Drowned although it kinda of fizzled at the end. Really liking this Twist though. Gordon really does sound great on this whole show.

  13. lastwaltzer Says:

you are very very very spot on with that. People don’t give a shit about the environment but they like to think they do. I work at a green business and people are constantly trying to cut green corners in order to save money, not to mention customers don’t even care about what were doing they just like the fact that were “green”, luckily for my mental well being I know we are.

  14. KWL Says:

    thanks Matso & lw

SOAM cuttin right to the chase again

greenwashing for sure, we’re not going to buy our way to anything ‘green’ thats for sure. but don’t worry, change your lightbulbs and we’ll all be fine…

  15. albert walker Says:

    yeah lw

for me the Twist is the first spot where that Hershey set picks up

the Drowned > Tweezer seems well played but pretty standard

Mike does some cool slapping towards the end of drowned but then the jam just kind of fades out

the band sounds good and tight with Trey pretty absent from the first 2 tunes and he kind of wakes up during Twist

  16. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

I’ll be there mid-afternoon on Thursday and we’re planning on hitting the lots as soon as we get settled at the hotel (Marriott in Windsor – thanks again willowed!). drop me an email with your digits and I’ll get in touch when we arrive to let you know where I’ll be. same goes for any of the rest of you fools too.

  17. SOAM Says:

Trey has go to be smoking weed……..

  18. Phamily Berzerker Says:

The Emerald Forest is an intersting flick with enviromental and indigenous peoples overtones. Droopy, tribal titties, woohoo!

  19. Sneaking Allie Through the Alley Says:

@KWL and LW Glad I could help. Its kind of a longer movie, or at least kind of drags on a little bit, but it does have a lot of great information in it. It also talks about the weeds that have been sprouting up that are immune to the roundup and the effects that all of it have had on the people/farmers using it and the sicknesses they have created.

  20. lastwaltzer Says:

    This piper is…………….fast

  21. Stupendous Says:

    LLFA @ pham berz

  22. mrfergie Says:

    thanks t3 – I know you’ve posted it a million times, but what’s your e-mail address again – I’ll drop a line when I get home…

  23. albert walker Says:

one to see what round up resistant weeds do to Monsanto’s stock price

high of $85 in ealry January

reports of round up’s ineffectiveness has since pushed stock to 50 six months later

    not good for old Monsanto

  24. lastwaltzer Says:

@AW that info brought a smile to my face.

  25. KWL Says:

yup, not looking good for monsanto

they have actually subsidized farmers to use pesticides from OTHER COMPANIES in a last ditch effort to try to keep the farmers using roundup & roundup ready seeds

at least roundup was effective for the length of its patent
