@litteringand…sign up on the meetup sheet for Deer Creek. Looks like we’re gonna have a good old fashioned throwdown in (or hopefully around) some cornfields (or OGs)

    @cub…you make me laugh.

@KWL…show them the 60 minutes special about the oil spill…interview with the guy running the rig…very compelling.

@mfergie…nothing planned that I know of, but we should try to throw something together, even if just beers in the lot.

Re: MPP…sign the meetup sheet if you’re going. Let’s try to get somthing pulled togheter for Sunday in the lot (might be easiest that way). I’ll be rolling with a crew I don’t know (my old buddy’s local crew), so can’t really do any hosting, but will help in whatever way I can.

been fun out for the day

can’t wait to finish Hershey I and the rest of II

gotta get ready for the new boards coming out tonight

I think tonight could be real special

  3. Kayatosh Says:

piper into free is probably the “jam” highlight of that hersh (6/13) show, and some of the tail end of twist is cool too. while not rising to the super compelling level of ghost>LxL and Numberline, 6/13 set II was well played and warrants repeated spins, if only to hear mike dominate.

6/12 Harry Hood is top shelf. very fine.

  4. Kayatosh Says:

and the 6/13 YEM is a tight ball of fire highlighting a rhythm section that seems to have gotten a major jolt in the arm.

  5. Litteringand Says:

@leo. Where is the meetup sheet?

AW, do I really know your gf? Do you know me?

  8. lastwaltzer Says:

there is a link to the meet up sheet on the front page right hand side.

  9. lastwaltzer Says:

i think he assumed you knew his gf cause you knew where she worked……could be wrong though.

  10. VTsnowboarder802 Says:

anyone have thoughts on what time I need to arrive at SPAC to make it into the main lot? I don’t want to be way out across the golf course…

  11. Litteringand Says:

Anybody else here wondering if they will ever break out a Mikes>whatever they feel like for the set ie simple etc> Paug to round out the set.

  12. fee4zy Says:

Listening to BLossom right now and the Hood is very good. Usually get tired of some songs. The intro was nice. # Line – very juicy jam. Oh, how I love these new sbs! Very crisp and love being able to hear Mike.

  13. angryjoggerz Says:

I Think tonight is gonna be big. I wish I coudl finally find a good couch stream to sit on.

  14. albert walker Says:

no man I was just kidding man cuz you knew where she worked

but she does work in central office as a grant writer

  15. purplehumpbackwhale Says:

i dont see tonight being a huge “jam” night. unless they play Ghost again. but if they dont play anything theyve played yet, theyve got bathtub gin, 7 below, thats about it as far as jam vehicles. theres 2001, stealing time, acdc bag, moma, first tube, kdf, all havent been played yet but not really jam songs.

id like to see some rarities like waves, pebbles, something like that. those songs are underrated

but that means theyll probly drop some new stuff tonight. it HAS to be liquid time already! come on! maybe birdwatcher? only a dream?

  16. Leo Weaver Says:

@littering…link on the front page, near top right…or

  17. Stupendous Says:

AW ya that stash was “safe” combining different directions achieved in the past, but something about fishmans playing made it succesful for me…
It felt like phish… funny I seem to think that the weekapaug didnt go anywhere, overall I feel like trey is just soloing instead of composing on the spot….songs like RnR and Drowned, they just go through the motions of dynamics, but nothing in the music being played dictates that it is what should happen, It will get better but, treys whale and constant wanking is a bit out of hand imo…

  18. Mr. Completely Says:

Great post from Hood, and nice followups too

“me being a web developer does not mean I want to create every crazy idea for a website they ever randomly thought of when they were drinking one night? ”

    good luck with that.

  19. Sven Says:

For those in Chicago seeing Tinariwen, do you know where they are playing Friday night? I thought they were at Mil park Thurs – Sat, but saw they are playing in Marquette park on Sat.

  20. Kayatosh Says:

6/13 funky bitch — sharp, in your face rendition. no lag. hard drivin blues.

  21. lastwaltzer Says:

Hope your wrong about the repeats I’d like to see them space stuff out a bit more then a three show rotation.

  22. albert walker Says:

    I dig the whale

early in the tour he is using it to heavy but it will subside as he gets over the original excitement of his new pedal explorations

I think when used well it has created some amazing moments like in the Ghost and Light from Toyota

I also feel the Hood Reba and Bowie have some killer Trey guitar work

as a hack guitarist I feel he’s finally getting his chops back

the consistency throughout these shows is what impresses me most

I mean the flubs were so prominent last year and besides the occasional pocket slop there haven’t been any fall apart moments in all 3 of these shows

it might not be all top level but the low of lows seem to taken out

I don’t think this is great Phish but I def hear the improvements going on IMO

  23. albert walker Says:

yes lw I will be there

what time do they go on Thursday?

    It’s at Pritzker right?

  24. lastwaltzer Says:

I have no idea. I thought they were playing friday as well but they’re website has zero info on it. Hopefully they will mention it on thursday.

Also get there early, last week only went till 8 even though the website says 9. But then again Tony Allen played till damn near 9:30 last night.

  25. jdub Says:

I wouldn’t be surprised if they pull a peak jam out of standard tune. Catch everyone off guard. Gin, 2001 most likely get some love but after warming up over the weekend they might be feeling it coming out of Halley’s or Timber.

No Gamehendge tunes so far, crazy talk but wouldn’t it be nuts if they are saving them for a complete visit to that mythical land.
