Just got back and checked the set list. Looks like the show was a straight up rocker! Did anyone stream it or go, how was it?

Was ‘walrus’ a “1st”?…if so, they are busting new covers every show… any guesses on new ones coming up… could/would they pull off ‘oye como va’ or ‘black napkins’ or ‘queen jane approximately’….what ever happened to ‘the landlady’ or ‘don’t you wanna go’? …looking forward the july4th in georgia

just heard from my friend at the show

he had a great time, thought it was a little uneven, he is on the musically picky side, in a good way, not negative but he hears the details, etc…basically said the obvious stuff was excellent – Reba Undermind Bowie Hood and the big Groove. Singled out the outro Walrus jam as the psychedelic centerpiece of the night.

Just fired up the Mike’s from tonight…will report back in 35mins

  12. Mr. Completely Says:

@john, earlier someone said TAB had been doing Walrus, I had forgotten about that

So, I’m not a very spiritual person anymore. But I think I got a glimpse from afar of my grandmother’s spirit today. thus was before I got the news. I’d just come through a vicious rainstorm (read: torrential downpur) when I saw this massive, glowing rainbow off to the side of the interstate. I know, because u was pulled over and took three pics of it for some reason. Anyway, it would have been about the time my mother was talking to the paramedics in the ambulance and saying goodbye to her mother, my grandmother.

I’m going to take it like that because, spiritual or not, I appreciate synchronicity and the idea of perpetual energy.

I’ll feel her again this weekend, I’m sure. Up until a few years ago, she was nothing BUT energy

  14. Mr. Murph Says:

How very clever of Phish. I am hydrogen/the walrus. I am surprised no one had thought of that.

  15. Little Buddy Says:

    @ Mr. C

Your friend pretty much summed it up. A little uneven, but it didn’t matter. Big, big energy.

Nice psychedelic outro to Walrus and the huge Groove were highlights. Mike’s got as nasty as any 3.0, I think. The Simple drop was big. Hood went really deep. First Tube Jedi shenanigans.

Beautiful venue and the security let people go anywhere inside the shell in the second set. Wife got right up to the front row with no problem. I just danced the aisles. Great night!

  16. Little Buddy Says:

    @ Chef.

That was really beautiful. So sorry for your loss. Much love, brother.

pumped, these camdan/mpp shows got some heat going on.

any new word on fall dates?

  18. ChefBradford Says:

    Thanks Little Buddy, much appreciated

Libby Potts in her prime was a funny, fun-lovin gal, and that’s how I’ll remember her

    sorry for the typos above

  19. Mr. Completely Says:

    much love

  20. sumodie Says:

  21. BrandonKayda Says:

Just got through Mike’s Song->Simple – Mike’s was vicious, Simple was very mellow/ambient and pretty, long outro. I Am The Walrus is raging with its psychedelic rock right now.

    LOVING this Mike’s Groove.

Sitting in an English garden, waiting for the sun…

  22. BrandonKayda Says:

Beautiful post @Chef. Stay strong my friend

  23. ChefBradford Says:

Thanks again to you guys, just for making any comments. Made me feel a bit less isolated. I’m going to try to get some sleep now, a few more hours driving torrow until I hit Charlotte.

If you see/sense a thermonuclear blast of catharsis, it’s probably me. I told Leo W earlier I’d been seeking that anyway, but now, it’s on.

You all are some great people, can’t wait to meet some of you this week.

  24. Mr. Completely Says:

    peace chef

    take it easy

  25. Mr. Completely Says:

I like pretty Simples…like with that long slow denoument?

    looking forward to it
