  4. Mitch Says:

any colorado folk out there? i keep checking telly forecasts to see what im up against and it looks straight cold up in those mountains at night. how many layers you think i’ll need? tshirt, sweatshirt, fleece jacket??

  5. butter Says:

all that and your black subway clothes @mitch

no, but really, pant, jacket , hat + lots of warm stuff for at night

summer wear for during the day

  6. tela'smuff Says:

@Mr. C – no, that’s not what i said or meant. i didn’t say any theory was BS. the Mike thing could be true for all i know. i’ve heard a lot of weird stories about him on tour. i have no idea how valid any of the stories are.
dude, why do you come at it like that?

  7. halcyon Says:

Mitch….All 4 seasons of weather can occur in a single day, or a single storm. Plan for hot days, and cool nights (sweatshirt, fleece, hat). Bring a rain jacket j.i.c. July 4th, a storm came in and the temps went from 82 to 60 in a span of 30 minutes. I was wearing a winter hat watching fireworks.

  8. Mitch Says:

listening to killin in the name of and i was singing along and right when im used to singing UNGHHH! theres fishman bringing his UNGHHH! talk about amped. these youtube vids are great. crowd is NUTS! would really liked to have been there for that.

  9. hoedown Says:

6/26 set 2 is super dope, although that whole show was basically ruined for me due to super spunions on the lawn. After listening back now I’m rather frustrated my night turned out the way it did. Great flow in that set imo. And the slave is top notch, amongst everything else.

  10. Mitch Says:

considering i was trying to not check a bag, it seems i may have to after all. 4 seasons in a day huh? i must have been really lucky every trip i took to colorado in the summer. i always had awesome weather. balls…….

  11. Mitch Says:

no less than 16 fuck yous in that song. haha fishman was rowdy. ck5 had a nice light show lined up for that one taboot.

  12. halcyon Says:

I would plan for hot days and cool nights, you can bring it all on a carry on. I just hit up Europe for 3 weeks and the only bag I had were carry ons.

  13. Mitch Says:

gotta take my tent and sleeping bag and ms mangos taboot. maybe those could be carry on?? arent they getting strict with that stuff now? can i maybe gate check them? too many connecting flights, i dont wanna get there and not have a tent.
i thought the airlines were doing everything they could for a buck and seeing me with a big bag may mean they want that extra $50. going to europe you prob had a bigger area for your bag no?

  14. kayatosh Says:

@mitch; it’s me bro, just got my tosh on.

  15. Mr.Miner Says:

word Mitch. I got a lot of listening to do before unveiling any picks. hard to listen thoroughly on the road

  16. halcyon Says:

I didn’t take into account that the 2 of you were bringing camping gear. That being said, maybe one of you can bring the camping gear in a carry on (provided the sleeping bags can be crushed down enough), and the other bring your clothes in another carry on? That might help save some $. Our flights were on standard size planes with the same carry on space, we didn’t have camping gear, otherwise we would have checked our bags in.

  17. kayatosh Says:

back to 6/26 tweezer on the phones. wife interrupted me, and then the kid starts howlin upstairs. banged up his knee. tough job parenting. wife’s on it. time to re-tweez.

the originality of mike’s basslines this tour are astounding. $$$. Add to this, that he ran a mike band tour with new tunes, and you gotta believe the man is super human. genius musician.

  18. Mr.Palmer Says:

    llfa @ kaya….that’s funny

  19. Gratefulcub Says:

Set 2 from Charlotte is my favorite from 3.0 so far. Just perfect from start to finish.

A highlight reel is going to be tough since some sets flow and are greater than the sum of their parts, ie saw it again.

  20. Mitch Says:

if you have room in a condo, we have money to chip in. id rather put it toward a condo than checking bags and carrying shit. i try and keep myself limited to my 3-4 day pack these days. i’ve learned to travel with less than when i had this big ass 7-10 day pack and would bring my kitchen sink along for the ride.

problem is that were doing deer creek before coming home and girls need more stuff than us smelly dudes. if i need to check a bag it wont be the end of the world, just added stress of “will it make it through the transfers?”

  21. DukeOfLizards Says:

Caspian jam from 7/3 is gaaahhhhgeous.

  22. Robear Says:

harpua>kitno>harpua is the most powerful and insane thing i’ve seen and heard this band do.

thanks to the southern chapter of the bb for getting me down there.

    way to go boyz 🙂

  23. Mitch Says:

i want someone in the pit to bring a scents sign. since this is “total request phish tour 2010”, can we get our summer anthem back?? that song was made for the outdoors. doesnt seem to be too shrouded in 2.0 bad thoughts. least not to me 🙂

  24. tela'smuff Says:

MPP2 is for me hands down my favorite 3.0 and one of my favorite shows post Summer 2000. Camden would be the next in line. The CDT is may favorite jam of the tour with Blossom #line a close second.

i would imagine the “Don’t You Worry ‘Bout A Thing” tease from Page in McGrupp has been discussed? Very cool tease placement.

  25. tela'smuff Says:

@Robear – as much as i debate the meaning (i’ve bored myself with it at this point) i would agree visually, via youtube at that, it appeared to be one of the more heavy both audibly and visually moments i’ve ever seen from the band. On par with the Mike’s at Big Cypress in terms of spectacle. Wish i had been there. 🙁
