tela’s, you would have been fist pumping.

the place literally blew up. need to hear an aud. of that.

on listen back, they crushed ‘kitno’

  2. DukeOfLizards Says:

Am I going crazy here, or is there a brief Caspian jam in the neighborhood of 11:15 during the 7/3 tweezer?

  3. kayatosh Says:

@tela: i’ll listen for that SW in mcgrupps — only one of tour and only fifth of the decade (vs. 6 possums and too many horse>SITM’s this tour). love destiny and mcgrupps from that 7/3 set 1. $$$ set I (although i skipped zero. i know, lame).

6/26 tweezer — $$$. from 10 minutes on is brilliantly psychedelic and then the last 2 minutes — ethereal magic.

i am coming around to the notion that 6/26>6/27, and that 6/26 and 6/27 (the MPP’s) are better than any other 2 back to back shows this tour.

    what a tour — $$$.

  4. kayatosh Says:

@dukeofL: you’re not dreaming. best caspian jam of tour.

  5. randomreader Says:

“frankie said he heard a rage tease the night before but i dont remember where.”

that’s from p. 30, don’t know if it got answered – i heard this tease just today on the train coming home. in the intro to Hood on 7/3, fishman plays a little figure on the cowbells that is also played in the intro to Killing in the Name.

funny, I already was going to come on here and mention it b/c i hadn’t heard anyone say anything.

sorry if this was answered before, 34 pages is a lot to read…

  6. kayatosh Says:

oops, DukeofL, didn’t answer your ?, but I stand by my earlier comment.

  7. tela'smuff Says:

i loved the vocals from Fish, and i thought Trey did Morello proud on the solo at the end.

that song was an anthem for me and my crew freshman year dorms in ’93. Along with Fugazi ‘Waiting Room’. Those two tracks were IT for us.

damn fo sure better than a Katy Perry track. How times have changed from my first Harpua with Mike singing Sixteen Candles.

  8. kayatosh Says:

wait a minute, there is 7/2 and 7/3 hmmmmm

  9. tela'smuff Says:

    @kaya – he plays it at 5:28

  10. kayatosh Says:

@randoM:; if that’s true, droppin rage tease the day before, my awe of phish just jumped a notch.

6/26 salve — one of many great slaves this tour. a song that didn’t always work for me in that latter half of 1.0 and 2.0 and in 2009. now it’s perfecto. this 6/26 version features a syruped out trey. i speak of his tone.

  11. Mitch Says:

way to go randomreader picking out that tease. like i said they are doing that all over the place. looking forward to hearing that SW tease.

    robear,
iDouchebag is right. maybe it will teach me not to be a custy and to use my $ for better things. or just make the hunt that more challenging.

does anyone here have a female dog that they take on walks? is it true they pee once and you can go back inside? getting pretty sick of my headstrong male dog yanking back on his leash so he can sniff a piss spot for 20 more seconds when its 95 frackin degrees outside. ugh.

  12. tela'smuff Says:

it does indeed sound as if Fish teases KITNO

  13. kayatosh Says:

phish might consider writing a new tune titled Salve for the Wedding Night as a bizarro world Slave. or maybe I should leave that one to Weird Al.

  14. sneven Says:

    http://calcoastnews.com/2010/07/deputies-destroy-31000-marijuana-plants/

dont know if anyone saw/posted this gem yet… brilliant cops found and destroyed 31000 ganja plants, but didn’t make a single arrest… law enforcement at it’s finest 😉

  15. DukeOfLizards Says:

    Wow.

    RnR>Caspian>Tweezer>Slave

    Wow.

  16. Selector J Says:

^ that’d be dope on accordion, kaya. 😉

  17. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

    @telas
I think you are combining two separate things. Mike sang sixteen candles to end the rotation jam on the nye run in 96. Harpua from that same show was the oasis theme music from hell one.

  18. Mitch Says:

HOLY SHIT! JUST LISTENED TO HOOD!! totally plays the triple clacks.

clack, clack, clack / clack clack clack

  19. Mitch Says:

    sneven,
i’d be hella pissed if that was my livelihood. or even my persy stash, shit.

  20. sneven Says:

word Mitch… but to be dumb enought to not stake it out and not catch one “criminal?” llfa

  21. tela'smuff Says:

TIII – hit. yep. i need to reference the Companion more. Jesus, they did 16 Candles out of a rotation jam. that was a sick show. That Oasis was funny as hell, seeing I dislike few bands more than Oasis.

  22. Mitch Says:

haha all the stoners chime in on that article:

“as mentioned, there is no way there were 31,000 MATURE plants. this is the beginning of July.”

  23. Mr.Palmer Says:

Nice job randomreader! sounds good to me…

@ DukeOLizards – that beginning of 7/3 set II is awesome Phish. They give you a bit of everything in those 4 songs.

  24. kayatosh Says:

@sneven: don’t even wanna read it. bummer.

just watched Ryan Howard bomb an RBI triple while phish ripped up my dome (in a gratifying way) with this Good times Bad Times, only one of tour. life is good.

now to mcgrupp, maybe after this fine, $$ 6/27 mellow mood.

  25. tela'smuff Says:

not to be forgotten is what i believe to be the last time they played Caravan? it was such a good version to. as well as that Gin that night.
