  1. Jtran Says:

    @Mitch/hoedown

    If they did play it in Htfd, nevermind

  2. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

    @jtran
    Agreed there. Thought the Hartford guyute ripped and I think I liked it more because I knew they weren’t playing it too freqauently. I, like robear, have seen more than my fair share of the ugly pig.

  3. hoedown Says:

    My bad was played 1st night Hartford… But I agree that when they lay off it, it becomes a treat again. Way to much Guyute prior to this tour. I remember 12/29/98 it blew my socks off. After that, not so much.

  4. Jtran Says:

    Kinda my same thoughts with Fluffhead at this point, but I know I shouldn’t complain (I’m young). And they always kill the peak so it pays off.

  5. Jtran Says:

    But also, I think it worked PERFECTLY during SPAC1 I, my personal favorite first set I saw.

  6. hoedown Says:

    So much new music to listen to. It is hard to keep up… Almost impossible with the wife stealing my ipod cause she is diggin this tour so much. Well, could be alot worse i guess.

  7. kayatosh Says:

    @plamer: we could have evne more fun — best back to back sets. so say for example, 7/2 set two and 7/3 set one.

    @Leo: I think i posted my fav. sources for all tour yesterday. here’s the last 4.

    7/1 — Taylor C schoepsmk41 OTS. 7/2 — mark terry audix OTS (taylor c FOB too crowdy). 7/3 — mark terry audix OTS. 7/4 — Taylorc schoeps mk4v FOB.

    taylorc makes fine recordings, one exception being the 6/11 — too boomy. there is a highly listenable akg FOB of 6/11.

    His MPP recordings are off the charts good (and probably camden in that same league, although i need to relisten) . 3D, crisp, full on mike, balanced. can’t imagine having a better listening experience. let me know if you need bt.etree links

  8. Mr.Palmer Says:

    Jtran- what’s the avatar? looks cool, although i have no idea what it is. Looks like the view from my window seat on my Gulfstream……

  9. kayatosh Says:

    woah. call em robaned, but the 6.27 gin, with its multiple, extended peaks sounds a heck of lot like the $$$ 7/3 version. check it. twins.

  10. kayatosh Says:

    call me. or call em, if you like.

  11. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

    Mitch, to answer your bitch question, no, they don’t just pee once and are done. They like to save a little to place elsewhere to tease the boy dogs resulting in your prolonged walks while he figures out which lady left him the clue. Fenced backyards are the bestest

  12. Jtran Says:

    @Palmer

    It’s me skiing in NZ..actually a real cool shot when you can see it.

    @Kaya

    Did a comparison yesterday of those two, chose 7/3 as the best just because Trey kinda missed the peakest peak on the 27th. Being there, though, was unreal.

  13. Mr. Completely Says:

    @telas “dude, why do you come at it like that?”

    well I just didn’t understand what point you were trying to make, honestly

    also I was just kind of fucking with you since you brought up the Mike thing for no reason I could understand

    no worries though

    as mike says

    me no are no nice guy

  14. Mitch Says:

    Jtran,
    I think you intended that for someone other than me re:guyute

    T3,
    That blows. He’s been annoying the shit outta me and I’ve heard from a couple peeps that bitches don’t mark their territory (the dogs, we all know bitches be markin territory) but it’s 95 degrees out with the sun down. Throw me a bone dog. Let’s get back in the AC

    The picture is the fifth one in this slideshow if you actually are interested.

  16. Jtran Says:

    Mitch, I including you because you were discussing the song too I think.

  17. Mr.Palmer Says:

    Those are sick pictures Jtran.. New Zealand you say?

  18. Mitch Says:

    Mr C,
    Back to my question: how come they roughed him up if enough people knew he didn’t do anything? Too many cooks in the kitchen?

    It’s funny I’ve heard the mike incident brought up multiple times lately. Always gives me the heebie jeebies even tho I’ve heard from many sources it was harmless.

  19. kayatosh Says:

    I consider the 7/3 mcGrupp’s to be a major kickdown. Love that stevie wonder tease and i hear another quickie, classic jazz riff, after that one. page just going off a baby grand journey — gorgeous. turn that boy up.

  20. Mitch Says:

    Jtran,
    I wasn’t. But I’ll chime in that I don’t need another guyute for the rest of my shows.

  21. Jtran Says:

    @Palmer,

    Yep, studied abroad there a couple summers (their winter) back.

  22. Mitch Says:

    Frankie is texting me from Montreal jazzfest. Said it’s straight up Nola right now. “you’d love it” he says.

  23. Selector J Says:

    Sweetness.
    Looks like I just scored a 1-day ACL pass to go see Phish off of craigslist. Found a local chick with an extra and gonna meet her in a coffee shop with cash in hand. Doesn’t get better than that.

    Bring on the ACL FMS!

  24. kayatosh Says:

    mcgrupp’s — $$$. played at the behest of a sign holder.

    IMO, they play what they wanna play, if you happen to have a sign of that tune they wanna play, then they humor you by grabbing it, perhaps to reduce the clutter. flame away, signees

  25. Mr.Palmer Says:

    Not to re-hash this thing but….If you found your son or daughter in a compromising position with a strange dude w/ a camera, ALONE and you were with a bunch of liquored up Hells Angels…..not hard to figure out how that strange dude might get roughed up.

    At least that’s how i remember how it went down. I was at that show actually, thankfully no backstage.
