T3- I assume you don’t have sick time? Otherwise I’d go with being “sick” after you go to work. Just say you can’t get off the shit-er. If your boss is familiar with roto-virus he can’t object…

  2. Mr.Palmer Says:

Thing is though, all the Rock and Roll’s this tour pretty much smoked. MPP and SPAC versions are both top jams to my ears . If they keep ripping them up, they can keep playing them whenever.

  3. sanchothehutt Says:

^agreed. As long as there is a “second jam.” Can’t remember who said that first, maybe AW??? Foggy, but basically as long as they break from structure and explore, I’m cool with the repetition of the launch pad. McQuack. Wow, Duck Tales flashback.

Type 3… while in Paris two weeks ago we were in a park and walked upon a Poster exhibit celebrating Chopin’s 200th. Chopin is extremely important to the Polish community. It was an interesting exhibit with some great poster art.

  5. sanchothehutt Says:

Haly…Chopin=probably my favorite composer. Though my favorite piece of music ever written (that I’ve heard) is tchaikovsky’s shahrazad, which my dad used to play for us over and over again, asking us what stories we thought she was telling the Sultan.

I still think that is what draws me to Phish.

  6. sanchothehutt Says:

Saw it performed live at the MSO a few years ago. There were tears.

  7. Leo Weaver Says:

@kaya…thanks for the help. DL’ing now. Haven’t heard anything on playback since the Camden shows, and never made it thru those in their entirety…lots of work to do.

@PhillyChris…great to meet you and Gdad both. Mrs. Weaver and I had a great time meeting/hosting/hanging with all you out-of-towners…hope you got a good dose of southern hospitality with a side of BBQ and deep fried phish. You’re welcome back any time. And I’ll let you fellas repay the favor next year (or this fall) for the Camden/Philly shows 😉

  8. Selector J Says:

Nitrous mafia article in the village voice.

  9. ChefBradford Says:

Chris from Philly, it was good to meet you and GDad last week

  10. sanchothehutt Says:

okay it’s been posted 3 times today, but I just saw the “wook in nature video” for the first time. hilarious.

  11. buddysmyles Says:

ok here it is. i downloaded shows last summer, fall and NYE from livephish based on miners post, BB insights and setlists i found interesting. What should i grab from this 1st leg if i could choose three shows. My first thoughts are Charlotte, Atlanta2 and MPP1.

  12. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

    Night all.

  13. Robear Says:

  15. ChrisFromPhilly Says:

Nice to meet you too chef. I hope I run into all of you in the fall, unfortunately I won’t be making it out west for the 2nd leg and JB doesn’t look like it’s happening for me, but we’ll see.

  16. Robear Says:

    big ‘mike’s @ cmac

    just now listening.

  17. Leo Weaver Says:

You make it home alright @Robear? Heard back from all the others I think.

@Chef…andouille (sp?) is on the menu for this weekend 🙂

  18. sanchothehutt Says:

Robear, if and when we meet, do I still get the signature hug?

  19. Mr. Completely Says:

I was trying to just let it go but here is what I know

first of all the Angels have been handing out beatdowns for free, no reason required for a long time. the phrase “hair trigger” comes to mind

when it was realized no one knew where the girl was, angels went running all over. they found her hanging out with this weird guy who had a camera. beatings ensued. non-Angel people arrived on scene and intervened: old school Dead family who I heard the story from.

The girl never said anything happened and no sketchy pictures were found.

Now Mike has to live with this coming up for the rest of his life.

Angels beat people down for no good reason all the time.

so in reviewing some taper comments, apparently alpharetta (atlanta) was a tough place to get a decent pull. OTS was too far away apparently.

i like the 7/3 mark terry, but it does sound a little distant and the crowd is definitely more present on the tapes than in the camden’s and MPP’s.

7/4 taylor fob is $$$. some chatta, but nothing too intrusive. that’s fob, incredible sound but greater likelihood of douchery.

  21. Mr. Completely Says:

the Dead family folks I talked to were very convinced that Mike had done nothing wrong, they were there that night, that’s the bottom line for me

so that’s third hand to you, which I know ain’t worth much

    but that’s what I heard

  22. ChefBradford Says:

Leo, I hope you enjoy. Like I said, I’d hoped my locals could hook me up, but they closed shop. Savioe’s is a great brand though, they’ve never done me wrong.

  23. ChefBradford Says:

Kaya, tapers at Alpharetta were set up at the very back of the pavillion, right at the handicap zones on the sidewalk bordering the lawn

  24. kayatosh Says:

anyone have an opinion of this 7/3 tape?

i like mark terry’s 7/3 over the bporter schoeps, but didn’t check em all. there’s a dpa too. no fob’s and no taylorc on bt.etree, at least.

  25. DaNcInG fOoL Says:

    @C, RE: your gamehendge idea

obviously great for fans, obviously great for marketing, would maybe mean no acoustic set or something, though i’d vote just make it one of the first sets, maybe the first set on halloween, followed by halloween costume, then crazy jam late night set… only thing is whether the band would want to go back to their past with that but come on if they say they wouldn’t want to do that that would be a little hypocritical considering their willingness to play tunes like fuck your face, and most gamehendge songs anyway, and mike’s song which they said they were tired of, etc… plus at 8 it seems they played 3 first sets so i can’t imagine anyone complaining if one of those was replaced by fucking gamehenge
