Weekend Nuggets: SPAC 2010
DOWNLOAD OF THE WEEKEND:
With just under two weeks before Phish kicks off a three-day party in the Bay Area, SPAC’s finale is the last show remaining from Leg I’s download series. Highlighted by a strong first set and a sublime sequence of “Drowned > Swept Away > Steep,” Phish concluded their Northeastern with a relatively tame, song-based outing.

Hey man,
How’s it going?
goin ok
pretty cool you got to see the band for your first time this spring!
all the bb rooting for you and going with your dad and all – that’s awesome.
Yeah no doubt – that was an incredible weekend. You hitting any shows this summer?
09 was such a big and great year pretty much wrote off anything in summer 10 but have tx for first night of greek now and corresponding travel to sfca. slight complication with scheduled surgury between now and then so basically leaving it up to the future to decide. it is no problem mon; if i am there it will be hilarious!
I hope you can go to The Greek and I hope your surgery goes alright man!
thanks! I think it will and I will smile and laugh a lot if I do!
listening to the chalkdust from the IT dvd right now.
other day someone was talking about the Waves from this DVD and I put it on at that time and have watched it a bunch since then. The outro to waves into that spacey stuff is awesome. sounds like “viger” in the classic star trek movie in there…
IT Chalkdust is quality stuff man
the beginning of that waves sounds like dark star imo. was talking to a buddy about this. waves in general sounds like dark star in the beginning. lots of mid-range bass.
^ yeah that chalk is chewy-gooey
interesting as an opener. straight into it!
i wonder how the daylight affects listening vs night time light show?
Never thought of that…interesting.
I hope that we get some deep jams in Leg II – more consistent bigness anyways.
I think more bigness is right around the corner. remember leg II last year? let’s hope this year’s has an arc of it’s own; the greek through telly sould be one long ride I think.
I have some friends who’ve aligned for alpine valley as their strike; hopefully will be the beginning of phase 2 of leg 2…!
Yeah RR last year was a huge switch – then Gorge 😀
Let’s hope they do some more of that with Greek/Telluride. Leg II is going to blow minds me thinks
^exactly! gorge was one of the three runs i was able to catch last year. they have played the gorge in september before… (99 i think?)
this year they have the whole thing in their palms. what fun for them to return to telluide as such. amazing!
i”m gonna hit it b. good night
Goodnight @fatbunch Take care of yourself
