Weekend Nuggets: SPAC 2010
DOWNLOAD OF THE WEEKEND:
With just under two weeks before Phish kicks off a three-day party in the Bay Area, SPAC’s finale is the last show remaining from Leg I’s download series. Highlighted by a strong first set and a sublime sequence of “Drowned > Swept Away > Steep,” Phish concluded their Northeastern with a relatively tame, song-based outing.

VIDEO OF THE WEEKEND:
“Show of Life” – 6.19.10, SPAC (Official Release)
Hey Miner!
How’s it going?
done and done thank you mr miner!!!
lovin this ghost, fucking great way more upbeat than i thought it would be for some reason
chillin’ man…late night out east, huh?
Morning boys and girls!
Make it a great one today!
Mornin fellas! Or just Willowed as the case may be. llfa. Hopefully getting my girl discharged from this hospital in a few minutes and taking my ladies home! I’m not sure at this point if I’m more excited to get her home or to get a hot shower and a change of clothes!
Man, that first day home is something else. You walk that carseat inside, put it on the floor, look down, and realize….”I am now taking care of this person for the rest of my life”. The wildest!!
First nite first set of Oswego….now that’s the way to construct a set
Morning all. Searched for old TTFF’s, spinning 11/12/95 Tweezer now.
Went to Nectar’s in Burlington last night to see Dopapod, really talented band..I think out of Boston. Check ’em out if you have time.
morning everyone. congrats harryhood.
can anyone provide some advice on integrating a computer and digital music collection with my actual home stereo? i know i could use the headphones jack and a wire to an aux input, but that’s not the way to do this today, i mean i did that in 2001. i’ve also used a squeezebox slimserver, but i’m not sure that’s the winner. i’m in the market for a new computer and i want to do this right. would welcome advice or websites or blogs that may provide some advice.
ajepstein1 at yahoo
thanks good people.
@ae: if youre on later, or during the week, and see NTMarshall or Kenny Powers definitely ask them…I think they’re our resident av guys. I’m sure other people will pipe up. I’m still in late 90s mode…
Most lap tops and stereo receivers have hdmi digital ports these days
Really all there is to running computer through stereo for me
I have a cheap HP laptop with a high end denon receiver and it works great
Just make sure both units are hdmi
Def more complicated server based systems but this works great for me
a few more loose ends to tidey up.
ye olde landlord coming today.
🙂
gd, def keep me in the loop re: jones beach transport. flight booked so we’ll see what happens. thanks for lookin out! jdub might have me taken care of in style, and i’ll see mitch at telly so i’ll talk to him about his plans there too.
Good deal KWL. Looking forward to seeing a bunch of u guys again.

darien drowned is top notch
idea from last night about a website for jamming online already exists. looks kinda cool. onlinejamsessions dot com.
thought I was onto the big idea! back to the drawing board.
man i was wondering about that joe, b/c i saw that yesterday and thought that was a pretty great idea
too bad, you coulda been rich
I think there is another one called ejamming.
haha. The COO of Redlight management is on the board of ejamming.
@ae – I use a Roku “soundbridge” (older, not too expensive model). Baiscally it’s a cylindar on top of my receiver that has a cat-5 network cable in (also works on wireless but I like having it wired) and an RCA out that plugs into the “aux” channel on my receiver. The player reads the itunes library off the network and bingo! Playlists, artists, albums – it’s all there. Only complaint is on the model I have (M500) you can not fast-forward through tracks, this may not be an issue with newer models.
Definately a great and easy way to go if you want to pick up a new piece of gear.
or is in an advisor role of some sort.
its only a matter of time before we have blackboard jamming sessions
looks like it’s come a long way actually: http://www.roku.com/roku-products
