Weekend Nuggets: SPAC 2010
DOWNLOAD OF THE WEEKEND:
With just under two weeks before Phish kicks off a three-day party in the Bay Area, SPAC’s finale is the last show remaining from Leg I’s download series. Highlighted by a strong first set and a sublime sequence of “Drowned > Swept Away > Steep,” Phish concluded their Northeastern with a relatively tame, song-based outing.

10-31-2009 sweet black angel — $$$
kaya, spin 11/1/09 III all the way through if you haven’t in awhile.
please bring the boyz to my hometown Asheville, again – that would be awesome! 🙂 I’ll believe it when I see it – these rumors are killing me! 😉
hmmm. I’ve forgotten about that one, robear. I’ve overlistened to 10-31 set III, though. Think i’ll check it now. thanks, bro.
They should have somehow gotten keif to sing happy on 10-31. fishman kills it, and not in a good way.
major storm brewin. sky just turned grey/green
It just downpoured here in in N. Jersey. Nice storm. Coming your way Kaya.
Good luck on the short position. Being in that game for many years myself, i know the feeling in your stomach waiting out the weekend with a tough position. “Live to trade another day”….don’t forget. ride the winners, cut short the losers. Pride will get you destroyed if you let it.
so true palms. and thanks. afraid i let this one get to big and didn’t cut it loose in time. the Fri. 1 PM spike caught me off guard like a deer in headlights. Monday will in all likelihood be a sad day for k-tosh. punch to the gut and kick to the groin.
on a positive note, i’m ahead on my chores.
thanks for the media player tips. would love to hear more. that western digital guy is compelling – http://www.wdc.com/en/products/Products.asp?DriveID=832
but do you have to find your music by browsing folders on the TV screen, or i would guess a networked computer as well? and you can definitely output to a receiver as well as a TV, right? sounds like you do that, el dude?
@palms: I’ve been leaning on the rus 2k as my short play, but as you can see the small caps have been outperforming the s&P on this bounce to 1,100. I figured small companies that don’t make $ with biz primarily in the US should be doing shitty. Apparently not the case. kaya is a dodo.
@kaya, looks like i will be hangin in philly on thursday the 19th post JB. right now my plan is catch a ride to philly on the 19th with GDad, get into some trouble, find a place to crash, wait for the SLF to arrive on Friday & off we go to a wedding (which is like 40 mins west of philly)
so if you’re around that day, i’d love to get together
@gdad. it is in the back pocket. you’re a good dude.
next time phish comes through syracuse i got a lot of BB goodness to repay–party at my place, couch crashers welcome!
i am now officially adopting the ‘robear method’ for all future tours (minus the WW part… well… maybe)
cool @KWL. markin my calendar. will connect w/ you and gdiddy as date approaches. that could be some fun.
@robear: i commenced spin of 11/1/09 set III.
lookin at calendar foe 19th, it seems my ole lady has some plans that evening, so kaya is on kid patrol in the PM. daytime might work though.
peace
please note that the ‘robear method’ is not as extreme as the ‘neemor method’, i’m not that crazy… yet
kaya, i have no doubt we will be celebrating the end of a huge month of phish. daytime could work, i’ll be aimlessly wandering the streets of philly. really gettin excited now for leg II to get rolling
@kwl: cool.
re. storm: sweet jesus!
@robear — your recommendation of 11-1-2009 set III — $$$
Kwl – we can do logistics offline. Hit me at edlooram AT yahoo DOT com in the near future.
euro down .27% vs. the dollar. that’s a start.
thanks gdiddy, will do
kwl – phila museum of art, mutter museum, Rodin museum, space 1026 for alt, vox populi gallery. Tequila Sunrise for vinyl shopping. Have a feeling your veg so I’ll spare you the cheesesteak/roast pork/roast beef recs. My hideout for a good beer and bane out back is always The Druids Keep. Other fine taverns: the standard tap, north 3rd, race st cafe, good dog, royal tavern. Extremely good cocktails: Southwark.
