II: Birds of a Feather, Piper, Crosseyed and Painless > Prince Caspian, Meatstick

  3. Luther Justice Says:

This place has really helped my show experiences. As stated before I used to go and jam. I walk into venues, head down, and find my seat and jam. A little guarded. This place has opened up such an opportunity to roam around and meet new faces. These BB meet ups are very special. Each show this year I found myself hearing…..”Hey Willowed” while walking down and aisle or jamming on the rail. This place has allowed me to zip around venues and meet such kind souls.
Of course this happens during down time. If you find me roaming around during a heavy jam, I give you permission to punch me square in the face and say, โ€œWhat the fuck are you doing?โ€
If you do that though, you’ve broken the #1 rule at Phish shows.

    No talking during jams!

  5. Mr. Completely Says:

I can claim older-school status than most (first Dead show ’85, first Phish show ’90) and simply will not stand for any form of serious noob hating

    it’s straight bullshit

what @El Dude said is right. it’s about behavior. I’ve always known newbies that act right and vets that are assholes.

a little good humored hazing is always in order though, unless someone has one of those nervous personalities where they might take it wrong

I have no time to track down context of this convo but my $0.02 anyway

liked Pineapple Express a lot actually, re: discussion from a few days ago

not legendary or anything but very very funny

Red kinda stole it I thought, but James Franco is a fucking genius…who else gives a deeply nuanced character-portrait performance in a film where they get hit in the nuts like ten times? Classic.

  6. willowed Says:

I am more of a Joel Osteen. pfft

  7. Mr.Palmer Says:

Nothing wrong with being a N00b. What’s worse is the jaded, too cool for school, hot shot who needs to tell everyone around them how many shows they’ve seen and how the old school was sooo much better. Keep walking jerk-off.

  8. DaNcInG fOoL Says:

    fuck noobs,
    they suck
    they don’t know as much
    they have no experience

  9. jdub Says:

Does Jones Beach have a decent lot? I’m thinking a BB pregame lot throw down on night two. Beats meeting up somewhere random on LI, then scrambling to get in.

    Oh, and Greek, Greak, Great

  10. Mr. Completely Says:

  11. DaNcInG fOoL Says:

    YES C!

  12. DaNcInG fOoL Says:

    especially lot kid newbs!

  13. Mr.Palmer Says:

    DF is a noob ๐Ÿ™‚

  14. willowed Says:

The lot at JB is perfect for meet ups jdub.
You can park wherever and there are tons of light towers with numbers/letters that you can relay to your frineds

  15. DaNcInG fOoL Says:

    noob = greenboard word

  16. Mr.Palmer Says:

Jdub- Jb lot is pretty big and standard. All one big parking lot. Should be easy to plan a meet-up. should be the way to go. Fuck anywhere else on LI.

  17. DaNcInG fOoL Says:

    greenboard insult anyway

  18. Luther Justice Says:

I’ve always been a recruiter for Phish. How could you not? Other people are wasting their time not seeing Phish.

  19. willowed Says:

jdub, dod you get the e-mails today. I thought I put you on the distribution?
Let me know. we have a solid crew of BB hooking up in lot
    Mrs. TIII
    Mrs. Willowed
I am sure I am missing a few

  20. albert walker Says:

My advice from my noob days

  21. YborCity Says:

@AW – I just ask questions and smile.

  22. willowed Says:

    I forgot KWL

  23. Luther Justice Says:

My favorite people to recruit are Deadheads. Some of them are very tough and resist the Phish. When I can bring one over, it very satisfying. I was one of those Deadheads once, and I’m glad someone took the time to show me what I was missing.

  24. willowed Says:

Downloading the No Whitey 2 mix AW. Thanks much. truly appreciated!!

  25. joe Says:

maybe Joe too – have to figure out tickets/logistics of actually making it happen. which day is the big meetup? both shows?
