Other highlights included the first set “Free” and the half-hour sequence “Piper , Crosseyed” in the second. And it’s pretty tough to beat a “My Friend,” Curtian (With),” “Tube” opening threesome.

II: Birds of a Feather, Piper, Crosseyed and Painless > Prince Caspian, Meatstick

    not sure 12/97 ?

  3. albert walker Says:

I don’t trust any cats that dig summer of 89

    Shit aint right yo

  4. angryjoggerz Says:

Gentlemen, gentlemen… there are ladies among us.

  5. angryjoggerz Says:

Will we get TTE’d or 89’d at the Greek?

  6. willowed Says:

I enjoyed it to Hoedown. that reminds me of a story. Any time we see a song first time played we are truly lucky.

I recall TTE at Fenway. cats were running for the bathroom. I was floored, actually was a little pissed. Cats had the opportunity to see the jam for the first time live. They passed on it. Doesn’t compute

  7. halcyon Says:

any speculation as to when tour dates will be announced? I heard it was supposed to take place this week.

  8. willowed Says:

AW. I am married with three children. You must give me a pass.

there is sentimental shit in there

  9. willowed Says:

Plamer. It was 97 I think late november. 11/27 I think?

  10. albert walker Says:

    I once heard a jam
    The summer 89
    It was fuckin lame

  11. willowed Says:

You son of a bitch 😉

  12. Mr.Palmer Says:

I’m with you on the ’89 stuff. Married, 3 kids. there is a message there. No shame in enjoying a sappy ballad once in a while. Plus, the version in heard in Camden actually had a pretty nice jam at the end. No shit!

  13. Luther Justice Says:

Thanks for the Miles/Rollins link @Tela. Henry never ceases to amaze me. I never would have pegged him as a Miles guy.

  14. willowed Says:

Are you telling me your girl don’t like that jam AW?

    I call shenanigans.

  15. albert walker Says:

    89 is shorter but painful

TTE never fuckin ends but is painful

Can’t decide which one hurts a set more

  16. albert walker Says:

    She says yikes

I’m a cheese Dick and even love summer of 69

But summer of 89 fuck no
    That shit sucks

  17. willowed Says:

Ok, I agree. Do we want to see both jams live? Of course not. I’ll take a Split over that any day.

Sitting outside with the sun setting, glass of vino in hand with your lady at your side.

Not too bad to listen to.

  18. Mr.Palmer Says:

Don’t get me wrong though. I’d still rather hear an If I Could or Billy Breathes any day.

  19. Luther Justice Says:

    TTE > 89

I wonder what that would be like?

  20. willowed Says:

If I would have to vote. TTE hurts more due to set placement.

  21. Dr. Pronoia Says:

    Peaches at the greek

  22. halcyon Says:

Mad Professor Feast of Yellow Dub

  23. willowed Says:

Ok boys and girls. I have to run.

see you guys. catch you in the a.m.

  24. DaNcInG fOoL Says:

    AW, guitar to the creek!

  25. Mr.Miner Says:

liked Pineapple Express a lot actually, re: discussion from a few days ago

not legendary or anything but very very funny

Red kinda stole it I thought, but James Franco is a fucking genius…who else gives a deeply nuanced character-portrait performance in a film where they get hit in the nuts like ten times? Classic.

^ totally agree on all fronts. laughed quite a bit….
