Deer Creek '00 (Distante)

Following up the last two downloads, this show completes Phish’s three-night run at Deer Creek in 2000. The second set featured, perhaps, the three most-often payed songs of summer in “Jibboo, “Sand,” and “Twist.” The strong playing of the second set continued with “Fee > What’s the Use? > Limb.”

I: Cars Trucks Buses , Wilson, It’s Ice, Bathtub Gin, Buffalo Bill, My Mind’s Got a Mind of its Own, Split Open and Melt, Sparkle, Funky Bitch, David Bowie

II: Gotta Jibboo, Sand, Twist, Fee > What’s the Use? > Limb By Limb, Loving Cup

E: Run Like an Antelope

@bhizzle…time my man, time. I’ve found the bags just invite more beetles to your yard. They put lures on the bag as an attractant…that lure invites other beetles from neighboring areas to your yard. Most of them eventually find the bag and die, but you’re still luring more to your yard than would likely naturally show up. Beneficial insects will devour their larva though. We introduced ladybugs into our yard a couple of years ago and have had very little problems with any pest bugs since. I found a few jap beetles in the yard this year, but not many…not NEARLY as many as when I used a bag.

@Robear – yeah I’ve been talking to him this morning, trying to figure things out.

Moogis did the Allman Brothers Band Beacon Theater ’09 run. I never heard or read one complaint about the audio/video stream stuttering. Those of you that have gotten these DVD’s from me know that they’re done extremely well.

HD streaming will be more difficult though

  12. bhizzle Says:

I heard that about the bags re: attracting more. I will have to find a way to get ladybugs pumpin around the yard.

  13. Phamily Berzerker Says:

    Bhizz

Sometimes during certain seasons the larger vendors sling bagsobugs. in the garden section 1000 ladybugs in a netbag.

Morning everyone! I am just a LITTLE bit excited – just have to get through to 3:30 today and then I am Oakland bound! Woohoo!!!!

It still never fails to amaze me how happy seeing this band makes me. Sounds totally corny – but it taps into a part of my psyche that I forget about most days. Haven’t been in touch with it on a daily basis since I was child, or at least a young adult. I also can’t underestimate how much these show weekends mean to me. Just being able to get together with good friends who come in from all over the country, and to meet new people. I love it!

Decided to check my stats yesterday, for the first time (thanks for the great site Zzyzx!) and I thought I had been to about 60 Phish shows, and it turns out it’s more like 45. It occurs to me I was always in school – first college, then law school, so could never actually go out on tour. As a result, almost all of my shows are in the Northeast, and generally at the same venues. On the one hand, I wish I had had time to just bust out and follow Phish (or the Dead) for awhile. But on the other hand, I was always studying or working to save money to go the shows I could get to. And I mostly like my resulting life.

My biggest regret is deciding at the end of 1997 to stop seeing Phish and then not wising up until 2003. Duh.

  20. Leo Weaver Says:

@bhizz…you can order them online or find them at your local garden center. I actually get mine from the “hippy garden center” aka grow store. They come in bags of 500 increments. I get a bag of 1500 ($12), release about half, put the rest in the fridge and release them again 2 weeks later. You should release them after sunset and close to cover and water to ensure they stick around (we spray an arborvitae hedge with the hose for water source…they like to nest in the arbs). Praying mantis and green lacewing are two other beneficial insect species that work well. Again, since releasing them two years ago, I see very few bad garden bugs (aphids, whiteflies, etc).

  21. Mr.Palmer Says:

I have no comment for that one @ T3. Guy’s a loser. Overrated.

  22. Phamily Berzerker Says:

We gat hammered by whiteflies in AZ.

    Too bad scorpions don’t fly!

Oh wait that would freak the fuck out of people.

  23. Mr.Palmer Says:

For the second time in 3 years someone in my town was struck and killed by a commuter train. Todays victim a 21 year old girl w/ her ipod on and texting. Decided she didn’t need to pay attention to the gate that was down in front of her. Pay attention people! It can all be taken away from you so quickly. Sorry for the downer. Greek on!

  24. negev79 Says:

ps @Miner – thanks for the site in general, it’s been a great place to hang out the last few weeks! And for today’s calm before the storm, too

    pps Brett Favre’s a tool.

  25. Spasm Waiter Says:

    Favre vs. Hoodstream

    Favre wins most annoying.
