I’m looking at AC hotels and have it narrowed down to either Bally’s or Caesars. Anybody been to either?

  6. sumodie Says:

@spasm: Bennett Konesni is the guy running the nonprofit Sylvester Manor on Shelter Island. He’s a scholar/performer of old work songs, plays a variety of instruments, and is also a farmer.

Sylvester Manor is the oldest plantation in the north east / mid atlantic to still be owned by the same family (one of Bennett’s great grandfathers invented baking powder). Bennett’s project to turn the manor into a successful sustainable nonprofit is a bit mind-boggling, but if anyone can do it, he will.

Apparently the manor hosts musical & other related activities open to the public, and I know Bennett is always looking for good people to help out. I don’t really know where the project stands right now but he made the NYTimes back in May:

Time to turn into Lawnboy and spin some more JBs behind the mower

I thought I was high at JB2 when I thought the boys had dropped into Guyute and it turned out to be MFMF

Upon relisten it does in fact sound like the boys purposefully teased us with the ugly pig before throwing the MFMF switch. Whether it was intentional or a last minute switch, I was very grateful

So far both JB set 2s have sounded just as smooth n hot on the pod as they were live

  13. Robear Says:

so, everyone plz leave your computer’s on and torrents open. I’ll download some highlights tonight.

After midnight, we can let it all hang out, cuz no restrictions

  14. sumodie Says:

@robear: no problem, I usually leave torrents open all night -you’ll get what you need (I also leave torrents open for at least a month)

    Sunshine calls……..

Sumo- Very cool shit. I think we’ll look him up. I am sure we have some friends in common. What an interesting life he has found for himself. Helps to have a great grandfather who invented baking soda..

  18. Jtran Says:

    @Miner

having problems with both Are You Shpongled? and Nothing Lasts…

Some songs have errors, some work then heavy static takes over from time to time (really loud). I don’t know if anyone else is having these problems?

  19. Jtran Says:

    With Celtic Cross too

  20. Mr.Miner Says:

Really?! I uploaded by CDs straight to WAV and they all upped and play successfully on my computer. Same files…I’ll look into it. That is frustrating though. I can’t see why that would/could happen…

  21. sneven Says:

I just stumbled across the #1 new lot food for Summer Tour ’11!

  22. Mr.Miner Says:

Static? That is bizarre. I’m not home right now, but will check it later. Sorry for mistakes…

  23. Jtran Says:

Thanks for checking Miner. It could just be my PC..who knows.

  24. garretc Says:

    Happy birthday gavinsdad!

  25. Mr.Miner Says:
