the cool thing about these small GA shows is that they will melt every cubic inch of the room

  2. Selector J Says:

Hey everyone. Been busy but occasionally lurking. Saw this and had to holla bout it:

Halcyon upped: Darondo – Let My People Go

    1) That set is absolutely incredible. Amazing funky R&B stuff.
    2) My friend did a phone interview with Darondo about a year or two ago. You can here it on his blog here: The Corner – Dishing with Darondo
Like the album, this interview is a M-U-S-T listen! If you couldn’t tell from Halcy’s great description of the man, Darondo was/is a certified maniac.
Hear it for yourself straight from the source!
Topics discussed in the interview include:
    – His affiliation with Sly Stone.
    – Pimping “rumors.”
    – His Rolls Royce with custom hot plate!
    – His public access tv career including the children’s show, Tapper The Rabbit.

    JB Tweezer Vid:

kind of a blues swanky feel Tweez, yet still psychedelic, great slow build, sharp Tryza

  4. Mr.Palmer Says:

butter- just started that video…jb tweezer. Coming off the heels of the Hood it had a great feel even though, like you said, not your stereotypical tweez.

  5. Selector J Says:

“Tarps are a west coast thing.”
Yea, one of the only things the east coast has going for it. That, and all the Phish shows. πŸ˜‰

“the cool thing about these small GA shows is that they will melt every cubic inch of the room”
    Indeed. Bring a mop.
    Me = Jealous

    Hey BB

    What up?

  7. sumodie Says:

    Alpine’s DWD>WTU>Scent

I too liked the Scent, as nowadays it’s a bit unusual to hear -a sharp n concise version (or so I thought thru the pod)

Either way DWD>WTU slays old skool style. Sure, it doesn’t have the freshy new creative vibe ala Light, BDTNL (Blossom/JB), or 3.0 Pipers (the most re-invented older tune, IMO), but it doesn’t matter -it’s still a white hot facemelter

Not sure any 3.0 DWD sounds as radically new as, say, the 3.0 Pipers, but that’s not a slight -DWD is a timeless phish song for me, always loved the tune & always will

  8. butter Says:

    Hey BK

Palmer, it was a surprise bonus Tweez at that point I imagine

If ya wanna join the 15gb psytrance torrent uploaded by our gracious host, see page 24

42 peers & counting…I should have it dl’ed by morning

  10. butter Says:

Wow, we are tarp tools out here

  11. Mr.Miner Says:

    ^ Cobo 11.18
    Greek 8.5
    MSG 12.3

^ its worthwhile….23 beast albums…once people listen and they have preferences, I have WAY more music to share of y’all want it.

and the torrent is mostly not fast psytrance (145 bpm and up)….mostly psy-ambient/dub..with some dance floor killers as well

  13. Stupendous a.k.a The Beasel Says:

my fav DWD from 3.0 is still from hampton 3. Pure Magic!

  14. butter Says:

Damn Miner, you really did get into that stuff after the hiatus

  15. sumodie Says:

Not sure any 3.0 DWD sounds as radically new as, say, the 3.0 Pipers,

    ^ Cobo 11.18

    MSG 12.3

Yeah, I suspect my words may not have properly captured how I feel about the 3.0 DWDs, as the best new versions are top shelf phish all the way

Put another way, a good DWD was always able to strike deep within me, and the new 3.0 versions continue to pierce into my soul just as deeply, thus my love for the song has never wavered across the eras of phish.

  16. gus Says:

so…this has probably been discussed, but cee lo green’s new song fuck you is the catchiest thing i’ve heard in a while. just putting that out there. everyone who hasn’t listened to it, should definitely listen to it.

  17. BTB Says:

Ridesharing it threw PA listening to Jam on’s Alpharetta shows.

Told the dudes in the car about PH journeys, btb fest etc. And I’m pretty sure I killed forty five minutes of the trip back from NYC.

“you drove to atlanta for a concert?” πŸ™‚

  18. Phamily Berzerker Says:

SeΓ±or Miner, Thanks for the major music hookup! Could you exepdite your Leg II Picks, por favor πŸ˜‰

Back at home just pulled up utorrent hopefully the PC stay alive long enough to capture the psytrance and bring me back.

Folks stay up and open often.

  19. Phamily Berzerker Says:

    Wow!

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-devon-11195393

    Sad, really.

  20. Kevin Says:

I don’t put up with seat saving at GA shows beyond a very small and very reasonable limit.

Hampton 09, some guy was saving multiple rows with stuff like cookies and small tissue packets on the seats. I said sorry buddy, and tossed him the shit off two seats so we could sit down. He went nuts, but that’s just how it is. Your friends are outside, I’m in here. I win.

There’s a limit to seat saving (I’d say 1 present person for every seat saved), and tarps go way the fuck beyond it.

  21. Runaway Jim Says:

I just noticed how similar the end of 1995-12-31 Mike’s is to the very beginning of 1994-12-29 Bowie

  22. William H. Bonney Says:

    Wow freakin hay bale…crazy

  23. William H. Bonney Says:

digital delay jam by trey on both

  24. Runaway Jim Says:

I never knew the technical name for it, thanks William

  25. RamblinOnMyMind Says:
