Forgot some crucial midtempo/dub albums on that torrent. Gonna make another- much smaller one
@Runaway
If you can’t be right in front, behind the stage is great. Sounds great and usually your close enough to the band to actually see them. It was better however when Fishman was in back, then they turned around a lot to communicate..
Sometimes the lights are not as impressive from the back. I have Sec X for mullins which is back corner, and i plan on stealing seats behind the stage. always room there, and 10x better than opposite end.
behind stage:
you can watch the cats riding the rail
you can see the lights wash the crowd, but like sniggle said, they’re less impressive overall.
@sniggle
I’m in section X there too. Any clue how many rows are in the lower, and when the upper starts?
Jtran, wondering the same thing. am i upper or lower???
Like i said, i will prob go behind the stage anyway. Or try and get stubbed onto the floor…..
I think I’m row 35…pretty sure that’s upper but can’t find it anywhere.
I’ve mentioned it before, but,
In the old days, i would always sit behind the stage at arena shows (as i never got a floor seat). With the old setup, i would try and snag seats at an angle from Trey’s setup to behind Fishman. Then whenever they would get into something really good, Trey would turn around smile or thumb up or whatever to Fish, but it would seem like he was turning to me for my approval. Even when i wasn’t tripping it seemed like i was somehow involved…..
well Palmer, did Carson light it up against the prevent D, or should I go pluck a crow and pre-heat the oven?
great post @ Sniggle, re: behind stage. good moments side and back seats.
word
Did Trey get his t-shirt ideas from Karl Perrazo?
He did fine Robear, got some garbage points.
Arian Foster was a beast. 231 yards….
and 3 TD’s, Foster killed me today!!
@Palmer, ended up with quite a few fantasy points in the end
@ sniggle
check received.
re: behind stage
cinci 03, pretty high up, watched fish all night, plenty of room, had a blast
msg 09 briefly, pretty awesome to see the crowd go crazy when the lights went up on the house in golgi. very cool.
would probably choose behind stage instead of corner next to stage
@jtran: yeah, don’t do that UMass 2 for 3 trade -too complicated & with a stranger
***
Behind the stage can be an awesome place, complete with interesting sight lines and good to great sound.
UMass, in particular, is not that big -the energy at those December 95 shows was off the hook, and this year will be the same, no matter where you are inside.
Psytrance albums finally making it into my library and onto the pod. Think I’ve already helped to seed 50 gb of that mutha torrent and counting.
@Miner: thanks again for the music -I’ll be curious to check out the upcoming torrent too
the camden chalkdust is stunningly good
Ditto anyone that said behind stage. A fallback perch of mine for years.
@oldskool – Stafford injury looks very serious, came out for second half with a huge sling , and not dressed from the waste up.
Peppers just crushed his throwing shoulder into the turf….I’m saying half the season at least
I think that all of these shows are going to be fairly loose in terms of seating with people flowing easily between sections, stubbing down, etc.
@ sumo
sounds great.
upcoming torrent will have all mid/slower music-
3 albums by OTT. OTT is to psydub what Simon is to psytrance…He is a beast. One album is a ll dub remixes of Hallucinogen trance tracks and a couple of his own albums…i’ll get it posted in a few hours…
Too bad about Stafford, that is a shame. Pretty rough game in Philly so far too. Kolb knocked out in his first game and Ryan Grant and a few others out as well. I needed Grant to have a big fantasy day, oh well…
